one thing for sure is, No matter how much people hate or love GT. You have to admit, that, th dragon balls becoming the final enemy of the franchise is the best concept for the final antagonists the franchise could ever hope to have (and is still the best)
Baby is easily the scariest villain in the series. Not intimidating, actually scary. He's a parasite, created solely to be capable of infecting and commanding all documented life in existence at the time of his creation. Filled with a hatred for the Saiyans that wiped out his entire progenitor race, he literally body hops across the galaxy, following the heroes until he's ready. He heads to Earth and... infects EVERYONE. Suddenly, your greatest allies, your friends, your family... they want you DEAD. Their personalities twisted into this strange reflection of themselves, filled with malice and a pride for the race that created the vermin now playing the role of puppet master. It was horrific for me as a kid, watching all these characters I'd loved ever since I found Z, become villains. Vegeta's infection in particular, scared me. Watching him struggle, his power rising to try and force this disgusting slime out of him, ultimately fails as we watch him be completely subdued. Baby spreads throughout his body, and the white hair, and red markings, indicated Vegeta, the Saiyan prince, Goku's eternal rival, wasn't there anymore. In his place, was Baby.
I can't remember if this was part of the series or not, but one interesting potential with Baby's possession of the others is that it could feed off of legitimate negative feelings they might have towards Goku, and even express itself in their interactions with them. Like for example, if when possessed Gohan and Goten fought Goku, they would bring up how much they hated him for abandoning them and Chi-Chi during the seven years after the Cell Games.
How about making Uub matter? He was trained by Goku for years and even got a huge power up in the Baby arc only for it to mean nothing right after, when Baby changed forms again.
"be careful what you wish for" is actually a pretty clever tittle for GT since aside from what happened in the show, GT only happened because people demanded more DB after Z ended and as a result we got GT....
actually, at the beginning, they could say Goku got nostalgic about old days when everything was a true challenge and he is now too strong. and wished for days were there were actual people that could he fight and could defeat him. Have the wish that turn him into a kid in everything (mind, body, power levels, don't be shy), ad BOOM. there you go the first "be careful what you wish for"
I really didn't hate GT. Though I kinda hated Goku being a kid the whole damn time, too much Trunks, and the way everyone looks like they're all oiled up. Seriously, why are they all so shiny?!
when it was first released and i was a kid, i absolutely hated GT. As i got older and got over the fact that goku was a kid the entire time as well I actually liked it
Robert Sides I liked that they made Goku a kid because he’d just destroy any threat so easily and since he was a kid, he got weaker and the fights were harder so it was a good thing. Plus we got to here the better dub kid Goku voice. The now voice is so bad!
Robert Sides They did it with DBS too if i remember(?) and many modern db installment, idk i think they love to apply those style lol maybe because of the stiffy type animation so they apply those style of color to match with animation style
@@TheRobmaynez Ooohhh maybe the girlfriend doesn't initially know about Saiyans and Ki but then an episode where she learns about them and accepts Goten anyway? Wholesome potential there.
Hmmmmmmm, how would I fix Dragonball GT... A: Hey, remember those first 25 episodes or so? The one on which they were looking for the Black Star Dragon Balls to stop the Earth from being destroyed? Before they first found the remainments of the Tuffles? Could we... Have something intersting happen on then, please? I mean, come on, they are going all across the galaxy here: It would be a perfect opportunity to introduce new races, or new characters, or new... Something. B: Speaking on the Tuffles: As for Baby, am I the only one who feels he was way too card-carriyng evil, when his background could have made for a almost perfect "tragic" and sympatethic villain? I mean, first of all, let us take away that "Killing his own minions for fun" bullshit, and secound of all: Imagine a episode showing a city of people controlled by Baby, at their own perspective... And imagine that city actually working pretty well. The citizens would be peacefull, helping out eachother, having a sense of union, and, if anything, the city would have grown a lot more of focus into academics and scientifical research, almost reflecting how a typical Tuffle city would have went, and being a place that seems like it would be wonderfull to live in, wasnt for the detail that... You know, everyone there is being controlled by Baby. Then, imagine one of the heroes coming to that city, and the citizens looking at it in terror: At first, frozen in place by fear, their foreheads sweating, the eyes wide open... And then, a few cuts to anotbher scene: Of a very similar city, burning in fire, their buildings reduced to ruins, with dead and dismembered bodies everywhere... As a group of Saiyans, their faces covered in shadows, walk, the occasional ki blast coming out of their hands to produce a massive explosion... And, as a woman would trip in the front of one of the Saiyans, looking at it in fear... The beast would smile, before we would see, from her perspective, one of the blasts being shot at her. And then, back at the scene with Goku and his friends, they would run, get some weapons, and call Baby for help. I would have found Baby a-Amazing-Villain if we had a scene along these lines. Something to show the world at his perspective: Showing that he really isnt a bad person, at least, not in goal: All he wants is to bring back a civilization that, on its prime, was near utopic, and to kill off a race he has every reason in the world to think of as evil, brutal barbarians. Granted, the WAY he wants to bring back that civilization is certainly questionable to say the least, and the remaining Saiyans happen to be very good people... But come on: If Baby has the memories of the Tuffles whose DNA were used to make him, odds are, the poor guy was literally-Born-With PTSD. C: As for Super Android 17: Dont. ... Allright, the idea didnt sucked THAT hard, but... It was literally just "Androids going on a rampage" all over again. Do we really need to do the exact same plot twice? Maybe one of you guys can think of a way to add a decent twist to it compared to the first time, but none is coming to my head right now. D: And, as for the Shadow Dragons: I just wished most of then had been more powerfull, really. The only ones who felt as if they actually had a chance at winning were Ein, Nuova, Syn... And maybe Naturon, after he absorbed Pan( Thus leading to a admittedly heartwrenching scene ). The rest? You just knew there was no way they could defeat a guy that was used to fight beings who can blow up entire planets. Actually, this is my main problem with Dragonball GT in general: Only a handfull of times you actually get the feeling there is any chance our heroes may lose.
Dado Bojart I agree with what you said on everything though I still get confused on the whole 17 thing from both super and gt cause I'm still in z in my head he died when cell died cause only 18 came out of cell so only she would've survive plus the writers needed her to be a love interest for krillan they really didn't need him which was a waste where they could have had him fight in the buu ark plus also if only krillan and 18 had a son too and was a fighter cause a similar theme that a lot is the next generation of heroes not just the of the saiyans but of the earth fighters as well
+Dado Bojart I agree the hunt for the Black Star dragonball's arc really need major improvement (like for example have more people in space perhaps even in different groups and most important of all force Vegeta to do the Para para dance because this would be the most hilarious thing ever) I personally would really entertain the Idea of bring the Piccolo daimao concept back of when a minion is in pain so is his creator and so making bebi much more connected to the persons he took over. Also would I make his main end goal to take every one in the universe over to create eternal peace in the universe under his rule making his plan seem like something good based on the viewers perspective. I thing the thing the Super 17 arc would need the most is to spent more time with 17 before he gets brainwashed making the fight against him more emotional and perhaps let all of it not even end with one killing the other but by letting the real 17 take control over the super 17 body and so end for a change of pace an arc not with brute force also would this give us another super powerful Character who now feels like he has to make up for his actions under Geros and muue's control for the next arc With the Shadow dragons being the big final villains of the series and being the result of everything that has happened until now would this be the perfect time to give everyone right before the end one last time to shine by letting every one go on the hunt for the Shadow Dragons and give before the Final fight everyone one last big moment which would also excuse the weaker dragons so that the other weaker Character have someone to fight that there can actually beat. And I fully agree with you that GT has a real issue with showing of how dangerous and powerful all characters actually are.
@@rynobehnke8289 the final arc's main problem is only few characters matter. it would be awesome if ALL the dragons are rampaging across the universe at once and the Z Fighters have to split to defeat them to actually have a chance (and make the first arc relevant as they could have get allies from there and have them help). Like For example have Videl Gohan and Pan stop one of the dragons alognside other characters, while that is happening have Vegeta, Bulma, Trunks and Goten stop another one, while meanwhile Uub is fighint one, and surprisingly, while they are winning Goku is actually losing his fight vs his dragon.
I think with super 17, they should have made 17 a bit more important in the series and get viewers attached to him before making him super 17. Give the saga some emotional sting. Show what lead to the events and give 17 character before everything happens
Goku: Man, I wonder how in the world do I fix GT... If only there were away... Piccolo: Yeah, if ONLY... Gohan: Wow Dad, seems REALLY DIFFICULT to figure out, huh? Uub: Yep, a COMPLETE mystery to be sure! Buu: Buu sure is unsure! Gotenks: Yep, I guess we'll NEVER find out how to make this show better... Goku: ...If only there were a way... Vegeta: GIVE US SCREEN-TIME!!!
KasaiWolf07 You know damn well that's wrong. ROF gave the Z fighters something to do, U6 tournament gave some light to Piccolo, and now Trunks as well as Bulma, Mai, Piccolo, etc are getting lots of character development.
super has the gods, future trunks, bulma, mai, beerus, whis and zeno in the future. Tien, Roshi, Piccolo and Jaco also got screen time in RoF. Piccolo got to fight in the universal tournament and is the reason trunks learned the Mafuba
How do you fix it: 1) No kid Goku. Fuck kid Goku 2) Goten instead of Trunks in space. We aldready saw an adult Trunks in Z. It's not exactly like the one in GT, but we have an idea of how he looks and acts. Goten, on the other hand, is basically a new character now, and he got little to no space in GT. We didn't even see adult Gotenks, that was a big mistake. 3) Make Pan less annoying 4) Make the search for the Dragon Balls in the universe more interesting. The planets were boring, the enemies (with the exception of Rilldo) were bland and not that poweful. It tried to re create the feeling of the original Dragon Ball, but it failed. 5) Make Baby more interesting. Talking about villains, Baby is the best one in GT. But he is far from perfect. First, his origins. they are literally Cell's origins, no fucking difference. It should have been a member of the last living tuffle family who, after hearing that there were still some Saiyans alive, trained for years to become more powerful. He could have been a tragic villain, someone with a purpose to be evil. They kinda tried to do that, but at the end he was just a "Fuck you saiyans you are gonna die because i'm strong". 6) Remove Super 17 or create a completely different villain 7) Make only one Shadow Dragon. There are 7 shadow dragons, only 2 of them are actually interesting (Nuova and Omega). All the others were there just because "There are 7 Dragon Balls, we have to make 7 dragons". They weren't interesting, they weren't memorable, they were just there because of the plot. Omega was good, but he was treated like a final boss of a videogame instead of an actual character. He is the most powerful foes in all of Dragon Ball, let him have more space!
I like the idea of Goten instead of Trunks in space. MasakoX has pointed out before that we really never get to see any character development for Goten, and that would have been a great opportunity.
I didn't like Goten's design in GT. It was the most mundane. He should have looked like Goku modified, lke same hair but shorter or same hair but in street clothes like a hoodie or something, or long. His hair cut looks generic
goku getting killed by the wish from the black star balls would have made the most sense. actually, it could have worked out where emperor pilaf, as his wish, could have been "Oh how i wish I could send you to hell!" and boom, goku is in hell. enternal suffering, having to fight against ALL the villains goku has had to fight over the years, and the black star balls could have some clause to them where a normal dragon cannot undo the wish of a black star dragon due to the immense power difference. so to sum up, goku is dead and in hell, and the crew have to go out to get the black star balls to wish goku alive again cause a good guy being in hell is a pretty big no-no. that premise alone could be interesting and could incorporate the later hell arc stuff and super 17.
And Goku could be slightly tainted in hell maybe? Hence the rage filled golden monkey and ss4 form? So have Goku himself as a villain which could even make sense that Vegeta has to cheat to keep up :P Making him a shiny beacon of hope for a change? :D And ofc everything gets fixed with a good old pounding in the face.
+Zekana0 That's perfect! I was thinking how to incorporate the hell stuff but that's great! It also allows setup for the future hell arc. Wishing Goku to go to hell to fight immortal villains is a great idea so there's actually a need of urgency to get him out. As soon as he's out, the Baby apocalypse starts. OR. Baby is killed by the Space trio, is sent to hell, and possess Goku, then as soon as Goku is out of hell the Baby Apocalypse begins with Baby-Goku.
sorry but, nah actually that wouldn't make any sense there's kind of a flaw there, since the Red Dragon of those dragon balls was still created by someone waaaaaaay inferior than GT adult Goku thererfore it wouldn't be nearly as powerfull as GT adult Goku (which is even more powerfull than canon end of Z Goku, which in turn is more powerfull than Super obviously), and just like it was in the saiyans saga you couldn't just wish for someone to go away if the creator has less power than the one you wanna dissapear, besides the Black Star Dragon Balls aren't much different than the regular ones, just more dangerous, they supossely (and it was explained) were created by Kami while he had evil inside so they're kinda evilish and that's why they were hidden... anyways, turning Goku into a kid nerfing him was the perfect wish for a plot to go on, see it like a trolly turn of destiny plot device though (the most insignificant villain in DB was the one that messed with the most OP hero XD)
The only real issue I have with SSJ4 is the name, as an alternative, I tend to use "Primal Saiyan". Super Saiyan 4 implies that it requires SSJ3 as a stepping stone, which it isn't even a part of the same power tree branch. Below is a crude ASCII rendering of what I mean. Super Saiyan 4 / Primal Saiyan /\ .| Golden Oozaru /\ .| Oozaru......................................Legendary Super Saiyan (Broly) /\........................................................./\ .|...........................................................| Base Form --------------------> Super Saiyan -> Super Saiyan 2 -> Super Saiyan 3 |..........| ..............................................| |.........\/.............................................V | Super Saiyan God..............Super Saiyan Grade 2 (Buff Goku/Vegeta) |........|..................................................| V......\/................................................V Super Saiyan Blue.................Super Saiyan Grade 3 (Ludicrously Buff Trunks)
I’m assuming that they simply named it “Super Saiyan 4” because it was an unseen form and never had any specific methods of determining where it fits in relation to the other transformations. Your diagram sorts the confusion out and does a great job of explaining the forms and their predecessors and successors.
bluemew22 I would argue that SSJ4 is what a true Super Saiyan would be. It requires mastery of both Super Saiyan AND Oozaru. If you think about it, if he hadn’t lost his tail Vegeta could have achieved SSJ4 in the Androids Saga. To me, if GT were being rewritten for the the main canon, SSJ2 and 3 would just be forms of dialing up the power output of SSJ1, and once SSJ4 is achieved SSJ2 and 3 and Oozaru are rendered inaccessible, since there’s no need for those forms anymore.
Sean Black I do believe that you can literally skip right to four. Considering that it re-grows the tail, sure it could require something like the tail and the golden Oozaru but again the fourth form re-grows the tail. Hell for all we know to be super Saiyan Primal(four) all you have to do is BE A SAIYAN!
I like a lot of the concepts in GT. Heck, if you summarize the main arcs' "high concept" (as interpreted by yours truly) as succinctly as possible, they sound somewhere between decent and fascinating. "Interstellar Dragon Ball hunt". "A race the Saiyans destroyed gets revenge at last". "Villains the heroes killed team up in HFIL to get their revenge"*. "The heroes finally face consequences for abusing the Dragon Balls so much". And the Golden Oozaru and SSJ4 are basically combining previous transformations rather than just being slightly different upgrades like SSJ2 and 3 (and the versions Vegeta and Future Trunks tried on Cell); hence, I prefer their concepts to the other SSJ forms'. (Though SSJG-the red one-is definitely a close second.) It's a shame the execution was so flawed. *Definitely the weakest, but it's still not bad.
Ricardo Ortiz-Joseph There were a _lot_ of problems. I didn't make it through the Baby Saga, but from what I saw, the good concepts didn't permeate past those high concepts.
I might be wrong here, but I thought the story was that not too long after getting his sword from Tapion young Trunks accidentally cut his father's hair while practicing/playing with it, and Vegeta just kept the goofy flat top and grew his fabulous mustache until his pride reared its head and he realized people, particularly his daughter, where making fun of how he looked now behind his back so he did his best to re-spike his now shorter hair to try to look like his younger self again
1) give Uub actual development and screentime. An arc where he started having flashes of memory from being Kid Buu and how that affected him would've been awesome. 2) make Bra an interesting character like her parents, instead of a simple spoiled princess. Making the daughter of the smartest human and the Prince of Saiyans so shallow a character is frankly criminal.
Well, I don't think that Pilaf is actually a bad guy he just thinks he is. Pilaf and the gang are actually pretty innocent as far as villains go, they just seem bad. They just wanted to get their wish to rule the world and would try to do that by any means but he didn't want to be an evil ruler like Piccolo did. I would say he is kinda like Oolong, he did some pretty nasty things but is as harmless as a fly. Really they are just idiots. But, you know, I would say that Trunks is a pretty good influence on them.
Fixing GT is pretty simple. 1) Remove the Planet hopping Arc of the series (or remake it with more action). It lasted too long, dragged on, wasn't funny, and overall was slow paced. 2) Give Trunks a less pansy look and personality. He looks like he wanted to do a Scooby Doo cosplay, and acts like one to boot. Super's Future Trunks gives us a better example of how Trunks should be done. 3) Allow Pan to go SSJ. 4) More fights and more stories closer to Super 17 and the Evil Dragons Arcs. Those are when GT was at it's best. 5) Adult Gotenks. Enough said Once GT went more towards the DBZ formula, the series got much better. The fights improved, and we got SSJ4 people. Hell, start GT as a continuation of Z. Where Goku is off training Ubuu until the next Tenkaichi Budoukai. Reintroduce the cast, along with new characters at the Tournament, and progress from there.
So bascially make it another boring DBZ? No thanks. GT was more close to true Dragon Ball than DBZ thanks to that first arc and Pan not getting SSJ. Future Trunks has nothing to do with GT Trunks, that's completely different person. No reason for GT Trunks to be like his future counterpart.
***** Yup, make it closer to Z than Dragonball. GT was coming off of Z, and Z was the more popular series between DB and Z. Dragonball's popularity increased once it went into the Tenkaichi Budoukais and became a much more focused battle manga afterwards. Z elaborated on that battle manga concept, and in turn was more favored by fans. Thus, I don't see where making GT closer to Z than DB would be a problem for the majority of Dragonball based fans. (And yes I know Super is going for more of a combined atmosphere/writing of Z and Dragonball, and for the most part has done it well.) Yes I know Future Trunks and Trunks aren't the same person. Nor are their characters/personalities the same. That still doesn't mean Trunks' character design in GT was good, or warranted. It wasn't, and it wasn't. People continually have complained about Trunjks' look in GT. He looked like a pompous kid who wanted to play dress up. Not to mention it even contradicted Chibi Trunks' to where they felt like 2 people, and not the progression of one into adulthood. Am I saying to make GT Trunks basically another version of Future Trunks? No. But I AM saying don't make GT Trunks a pompous pussy who dresses like he watched one too many Scooby Doo episodes. That's a big difference than what you were alluding to.
+SmaugUKA Have to disagree with Trunks. GT Trunks shouldn't be like Future Trunks. Future Trunks lived through hell, and grew up solely with Bulma and Gohan. This Trunks is the cocky Z Trunks that's matured to be the CEO of Capsule Corp, surrounded by friends and family. He should in no way be like Future Trunks because they've lived two different lifestyles.
Triixster Read what Kenneth Cha said bro. At least he reads what I said, and doesn't for some reason COMPLETELY miss my entire last paragraph. LOL Sometimes it scares me how people can miss the most obvious things, or disregard a statement or paragraph and only take 1 word/sentence/phrase, and base everything off of that...even if that isn't the point at all in the first place.
gt should of been gotens time to shine, and to see a more powerful vengeful raditz would of been great, pan should of been a hell of alot better, i was always 50/50 about gt.
Didn't Raditz die? I may be wrong, but the only way for him to come back would be for somebody to wish him back with the Dragon Balls. And who would even do that? Nobody likes Raditz.
Son Goku Black Oh yeah, Pan....They ruined her character and turned her into a worthless bratty half-pint.Anyone who wasn't Goku got the Yamcha treatment.
1- Goku as an adult. Let's face it, rejuvenating Goku was the biggest Diabolous Ex-Machina in the franchise; completely unnecesary. 2- Uub being a full-fledged Goku sucessor. 3- Pan being more like how she appears in Neko Majin Z. 4- More prominence to characters such as Krillin, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Piccolo, etc. 5- Having the black-star dragon balls created by Dende. 6- A more logical super saiyan four, now I know that probably most of you want to kill me because I don't find the super saiyan four to be that epic, giant, fuckaton of awesomeness, but seriously, a shirtless furry? A golden-haired version of the transformation would be more rational since the previous form the golden Ozaru it's golden. 7- Give villains more motivations beyond: destroy the world because of evulz! or taking over the world (OF COURSE!). 8- Having the same lighthearted tone of the first Dragon Ball series.
Well . . . She's a baby in that, at least that's an _excuse_. Also, I never finded Pan that annoying, or at least not annoying as the same level as GT Goku, I guess it's because of how the old FUNimation dub screwed everything up.
Sauce Uchihahahahahaha You forgot Adult Gotenks. I have an idea for the final villain. Android #21. A completed Android#1. Gero had a back-up clone body and after Cell's destruction, he went back to the drawing board. Android #1 was too far ahead of its time, it had to many glitches and the energy absorption was far to slow to be used practically. But now Gero has the experience from making his other creations. He could make his original creation as intended all those years ago. With two new features. . . Android#21 is an infinite energy model with GERO'S BRAIN. New feature #1. When he drains energy it is gone PERMANENTLY. This is a corrected failure of the original model. But what might be even more deadly is new feature #2. The ability to split mortimir dance fusions. Gotenks is not an option here. But only DANCE fusions can be split apart. You see where i'm going with this. Vegito is reborn. With the weakness of being defused if his earrings are broken. He wins by a very small margin, the potara earring shatter with the Final Shine Kamehameha.
+MasakoX Let me crack my knuckles for this...First of all make the black star dragon arc different don't make it about goku search for dragon balls. I like the concept of super 17. But the way they introduce hell 17. I didn't really like it make hell 17 like T-1000 make him t where he doesn't have skin on his body and make him incomplete. So he can bond himself with regular 17 like in that movie with super android 13. Last one erased the omega shenron from existence and replace him with the original super sayian like tie his arc with dbz super sayian legend. there you go a master piece.
MasakoX u know I've been thinking, if they were to add on gt to dbs (which they could, though they would have to make a lot of optimizations to make it match the dbs saga) it could work well depending on how well they remaster and improve the story. The concepts of gt were great and could still bite them in the arse after dbs (no seriously, they could) hell they could even increase the scale of the consequences, especially with the introduction of the super dragon balls i.e the shadow dragons might not just be a threat to earth or universe 7 but they could be a threat to all universes and there could end up being 12 shadow dragons (1 for each universe) if u take that idea in to account, imagine the battle royale it would lead to. Every strongest fighter and god of destruction could end up having to team up against them. Now I know what your thinking "but the king of all..." that would make sense but they could also make the shadow dragons too strong for even the king of all to handle.
Cool video MasakoX, and great points. A lot of these points I though of myself before. Actually a couple of more things I can think of to maybe make it even better: The Shadow Dragon arc using all of the characters. Maybe Goku and Vegeta could take on the really strong Dragons like Syn or Nova while Trunks and Goten could take on Haze, or something along those lines so everybody does something meaningful instead of sitting around waiting for Goku. Have Goku be the one possessed by Baby, and have Vegeta face off against him. It only makes sense, of all the Saiyans Baby hates Vegeta the most, so why would he try to kill Goku and spare Vegeta? Shouldn't he steal Goku's body, and then humiliate Vegeta by using one of his own subordinates against his leader? Then it could go into a pseudo-treason situation, and Vegeta gets character development and learns what being a leader truly means. Gohan and Pan should fight together without outside help. It'd be really cool character development for the two of them, and maybe they could throw in an awesome callback to the Father-Son Kamehameha somehow.
Samuel Baugh those are some rlly sweet ideas. I've also been thinking up my own. i.e. If they were to add on gt to dbs (which they could, though they would have to make a lot of optimizations to make it match the dbs saga) they could increase the scale of the consequences, especially with the introduction of the super dragon balls i.e the shadow dragons might not just be a threat to earth or universe 7 but they could be a threat to all universes and there could end up being 12 shadow dragons (1 for each universe) if u take that idea in to account, imagine the battle royale it would lead to. Every strongest fighter and god of destruction could end up having to team up against them. Now I know what your thinking "but the king of all..." that would make sense but they could also make the shadow dragons too strong for even the king of all to handle.
Hozzy BFD Or Maybe Zenos just doesn't interfere in that kind of stuff, after all Zamasu is free to run around in Future Trunk's world. Maybe Super Shenron could get Corrupted, if after Future Trunks Goku uses the Super Dragon Balls to fix his world, but since they're only meant for Gods they would get tainted and spawn the evil dragons across Universe 6 and 7. Then they could bring in Champa, Vados, Hit, and the newly reborn Earthlings into the mix. It'd be especially cool if they went to Planet Sadal, and Vegeta acted like a General to the Saiyan Warriors. I wouldn't want another GT series; rather I would prefer they kept going with Super, and incorporated GT plot lines because I'm really liking Super a lot, and I want it to continue.
I would love a canonical storyline of Broly, The Shadow Dragons, Demigra, Baby, and some way to introduce Super Saiyan 4. Maybe instead of the maximum potential of Saiyan Power being Super Saiyan Blue, the Universe 6 Saiyans could have Golden Oozaru/SSj4 instead. Really even with what we have now with Zamasu, which will likely go at least another 6-7 episodes, and 20+ episodes for the Zenos Omniverse Tournament, Super will easily make it to 100+ episodes for the series, especially when it hits American Home release and the demand is even higher
They've said they don't plan to go past buu. And though they've done clips from super, that's just it. Clips. Plus Kaiserneko would probably be highly against the idea
Wow. You just made me think of an awesome story for the 17 & 18 thing. After thinking that idea over, I actually liked 18 as a character, and wish more time was dedicated to her development and a story that leads to her actually seeing goku as a friend. She's so strong, she could be something great for the team.
+VixXstazosJOB He was only relevant because he SWALLOWED the Dragon Ball radar. They could've cut him out entirely, as there's no real reason for Giru to even be in the show other than "Giru's run off and we need to find him because he's our radar now", which could've easily been replaced by them either misplacing the radar or it getting stolen.
The thing that would have made Baby cooler would be if he realized that Goku didnt have anything to do with what the Sayains did to the Tuffles, so instead he should have took over GOKU an have Vegeta be the one to obtain SSJ4.
Then there's no real poetic irony, who better to perform the retribution of the Saiyans than the Saiyan prince himself. Goku was basically Jesus christ in this, he had to atone and show that the Saiyans had changed their ways and were no longer "Evil". Many overlook this but Baby vs Goku was basically Vegeta vs Goku again, so Vegeta did get the limelight he deserved but through a very twisted manner. It had to be Vegeta that baby ultimately got a hold of.
the opposite is also true. Since it's vegeta who was a real saiyan and the prince, tkaing him over completes his plan and uses him as the instrument to defeat or take over the saiyans. I always felt Baby considered Goku a non-problem he only payed attention to when he got in his way. Baby was always more concerned with the next part of his plan.
it makes me SMH how people overlooked that lol specially when BabyVegeta literally transformed into a golden ape and Goku had to fight him in SS4 though
+Akinokaze Haruichiban No, change who they meet. There is great potential for comedy gold with these guys, you just have to work it right. Like have them as a small group of solders from the generals army that come back for revenge after his defeat. But instead of finding goten, trucks or pan, they find yamcha, bra and maybe launch. This would be a good self contained episode with interactions with the most under used people from the show.
I'd also add Uub and Bra to the list of characters to search for the black star dragonballs. To go with the theme of "be careful what you wish for" Uub is a perfect character to personify the good elements of such wishes, both literally and metaphorically. Bra would be an excellent companion, not only to balance out the gender ratio slightly, but can be an excellent mentor/older sister figure for Pan. Also imagine how powerful she would be considering Vegeta's strength at conception. That's exciting. With a crew of the youngest dragonball characters searching across the cosmos to fix the consequences of these ancient, deadly wish granting devices and dealing with the consequences of not only the sayain race and their parents' constant use of the dragonballs, we also have another theme of "the new generation inheriting the consequences of the old generation". Again, Uub would be a fantastic character for this theme. Not to mention Pan ,being the youngest and one generation down of Trunks, Goten, and Bra, would have that in common with Uub and be a great symbol of this theme.
I actually liked Goten in GT. His growth between Z and GT made sense with his father being absent for quite the while, his brother living his own life and his mother not being able to handle him. At least he had some development, in contrast to Super at least. Super is just lacking so badly. I actually dropped it during that smile stuff.....
It's been a while since I've seen it, but here's what I remember thinking at the time. 1) Kid Goku was funny, for the first couple of episodes. That bit got old fast (like Goku should have!). 2) Pan was super annoying! It could have been okay at first, and then had some character development later on. But she just stayed annoying. 3)I liked the idea that the bad guys were sent to the Saiyans or Earth specifically. It seemed less random, and more though through. 4) having Goten being able to go into Space instead of Goku. It kinda would have made it seem like, it was the nest generations turn to protect what their home. 5) Why was Bra/Bulla/Bulra Not a fighter? With Saiyan genes she should have been kicking butt. Even if it was just a little bit of butt. Like, come on man. 6)The writers may have held dragon Ball itself near and dear to their hearts, but they sure didn't like any of the side characters. 7)Why were neither of the female saiyans interesting!? 8) I Don't like that they made 17 a bad guy. They could have just rehashed the Bojack movie, I would have been cool with it. 9) Gotenks. And finally, we come to the last one. I would be all right with GT as a whole even with it's plot holes and annoyances, but this last one... 10) I absolutely hate/abhor/loathe what they did to Vegeta. Not the hair, (which was bad enough), or the mustache (that was just funny). But the way he changed into the SSJ4 form. There is no way in hell that Vegeta, Prince of all Saiyans that we know would stoop down and let a machine do the work of getting him stronger with a new form. He would have probably blown the damn thing up! The Bulma we know would know better than that anyway! As soon as he heard about Goku being able to do it, he would have weighed the pros and cons of the transformation. (Because was all know he doesn't like using SSJ3) and trained until he sweat blood and vomited tears until he could do it himself. No question.
How I would improve DBGT: Black star balls arc- The same opinion as you. Baby arc- Main characters (Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo) The parts I would've changed are the infection, since Piccolo discovered it first, he would try to warn the others, but they end up being infected, then, Piccolo confronts and cures Gohan, making a great emotional battle, all the Baby Vegeta and SSJ4 stuff would be the same, but with seeing all her beloved ones suffer, and Goku going pretty much mad, would turn in a SSJ, trying to confront Baby on desperation, she would fail, Goku would see Pan lying on the ground, starts gaining its consciousness back and turning SSJ4, Goku would beat Baby with a VERY badass Super Dragon Fist. Super 17 arc- Main Characters (Gohan, Trunks, Bulma, Vegeta) After a tough battle, Goku is drained and can't fight for some time, due to his injuries against Baby, all the "Androids going mad" would happen, Krillin would be killed by 17 and 18, then, Trunks and Gohan would try...
...to fight them, making a great callback to Future of Trunks, and here is where a good use of the main message of this show would be used, Gohan would be killed, being the consequences to Trunks' alterations on the past, that would still happen what it did. With that BIG rage boost, Trunks fight both 17 and 18, but being outmatched and knocked out. Learning what happened, Vegeta would challenge both for a fight, and getting his revenge after what they did to him back in Z, Vegeta would obliterate them with a Final Flash. 18 is brought back since Bulma had found the Namekian DBs, Gohan would refuse the wish, and Krillin would be brought back, Gohan and Piccolo now defend the Otherworld. Evil dragon arc- The same, but Pan, Goten and Uub beating up the small dragons, Nuova, Shin and the Ice one (forgot its name) are defeated by Goku, Shin then fuses, Gogeta SSJ4 kicks the living hell out of him, and uses a Spirit Bomb on him. Goku leaves with Shenron.
Same with the Super balls... I don't think any of their wishes in Super has been outside the reaches of Porunga. Neither in Universe 7 or 6. I think at the demise of the Blackstar, it gave a semi believable purpose for Piccolo to bite the dust.
iTouchin I feel the thing about the super dragon ball's is that their wish transcends dimension's but what I mean about the Black star ball's is where did they come from why are they linked to piccolo so on and so forth.
fiction Arch Ahhhhhh, well the story is that the Blackstar balls have been active ever since he fused back with Kami. Since kami was more powerful as a single being prior to the split, the Blackstar balls were in turn also more powerful and at some point he created them before becoming King Piccolo and Kami. That's the backstory anyway.
GT would be more palatable to me if Pan wasn't such an annoying character. She's the granddaughter of Goku, an impossibly lighthearted manchild and daughter of Gohan, who is intelligent and self sacrificing when it comes to stepping up to save the Earth, as was Goku. Pan, on the other hand, comes off as a bitch and whiney. Where does she get that personality from? Not Videl, who is much more passive and happy than her agressive self when she's first introduced. Sure, her grandmother Chi-chi is aggressive, but is also motherly and caring almost to a fault. Also, when we first see her, she's shopping in the city with Master Roshi for some reason, which just seems weird. Instead of turning Goku back into a child, Pan could have been the Kid Goku type character instead. Also, Giru. Kill it with fire.
Yes, yes and YES! This! Pan was such a royal bitch and from what I remember pretty useless most of the time so there was nothing there to redeem her aweful attitude. They should've made her into the perfect Goku/Gohan hybrid where she's obsessed with fighting but she's also very smart which would set her apart from how she deals with enemy. That and we'd finally have a female saiyan protagonist kicking ass, that would've been unique and fresh. I seriously hope Super does her justice.
Well I doubt she'll do much in Super considering she's an infant. Perhaps there'll be one last arc where they fast forward to Pan starting her adventure the way Goku did and just explore the Earth, learning along the way. Doesn't need to be a full storyline, just maybe 2 or 3 eps at the end to wrap up Super in a "as the adventure ends for one hero, a new adventure begins" kind of way. "For our heros, the adventure is never over."
You are aware that Gohan grew quite a bit during Z, yes? I'm not sure why people think she's going to be an infant forever. Considering the saiyan hybrids are reaching high powr levels younger and younger they wouldn't even have to age her that much. Gohan reached SSJ2 before he hit puberty. Pan also has access to Gohan, Goku, Piccolo and even Satan (HAIL SATAN!) as trainers. That kid is gonna one shot Beerus by the time she's potty trained. ;-)
Z also took the course of several years. No, of course she's not going to be an infant forever, that would be stupid. However, seeing as she was pretty much just born, 4 years would have to pass in the Super storyline just to hit Gohan's starting point. Gohan went from age 4 to age 11 by the time he his SS2. Pan isn't even 1 yet. For Pan to grow as a character she has to actually, you know, grow. Unless you think Gohan, in all his wisdom, is going to send a literal baby into the wilds of Mt. Paozu and say, "Good luck developing language, kid!" Even Goku was 12 when me meet him in Dragonball, and he was completely ignorant of the world outside of his grandpa's house.
You are aware that this is fiction, yes? We don't have to wait for the characters to grow in real time is what I'm saying. Right now the focus is on future Trunks, the next arc could focus on present Trunks and Goten for example and all the while Pan is growing. Once she's old enough the show will then focus on her. Unless you have insider info on exactly how long Super will run I don't see why Pan must be a send off at the end of Super. Not all training is like Piccolo's training of Gohan. Piccolo saw that Gohan has this immense power he could tap into but only when pushed hard enough. Goku simply started by training martial arts.
My points/complaints of GT 1) What was really the point of turning Goku into a kid, yes re-live the original Dragon Ball, but with an adult mind and so on it's not the same. 2) I'm pretty sure THE only reason Trunks was around was because of Future Trunks popularity. Too bad they really ruined kid trunks trying to make him more like future trunks and they couldn't do it right. 3) Pan is fricken annoying nuff said she should rather be a child or more mature make up your mind. 4) They didn't give the side characters much screen time or really it they were on screen they didn't really do much. 4) this ties into number 3 but people joke that GT stands for Goku Time for a reason... 5) The ass pull to let Vegeta go SS4 6) What was the point of Bra, I get she was introduced beer the end of Z but my opinion still stands. Plus wasn't she and Pan like 14 at the oldest (depending on dubs) so what the hell? 7) Giru was even more annoying than Pan I could go on but I don't really want to, just about everything I said I'm sure like 100 or thereabouts also said in the comments below and above me.
2) Trunks is a fan favourite. They brought back Future Trunks in Super for that same reason. I loved how they made him in GT. He grew up in times of peace and therefore didn't have the same seriousness that F. Trunks had. He was more goofy and more relatable (he also worked a job). It wouldn't make sense to make him an exact copy of F.Trunks. 4) People call it Goku time, but GT gave more characters roles than in Super. In Super, it's exclusively Goku, Trunks and Vegeta (everyone else is a spectator). In GT, Pan was involved, Gohan, Goten, Uub, Bulma, Android 18, Android 17, etc.
that was like adter 50 episodes and when they were about to finish the arc. Super is not going to finish anytime soon. The only arc i liked from gt was the baby and the black dragon. In gt most of the characters werent even developed. In super you can see beerus, whis, bulma, gohan, pan, picolo, trunks, goten, future trunks, videl, vegeta, goku, master yoshi, twin brother of beerus, pilaf gang and so on. Yet you say super dosent care about there characters where many episodes they show the dragon ball characters we all love and adore. Hell even kai i forgot is in the shiit and supreme kai is sometimes chilling. Super is so far great after the future trunks arc its going to be bomb no focus on movies and all focus on the animation and story line.
Harambe I disagree here as well. Aside from some minor fighting in the ROF arc, none of the recurring character's have had a non-spectator role (aside from Trunks, Goku and Vegeta). Beerus and Whis are new characters. Bulma's had a minor role in the latest arc, but that's it. In GT, Android 18 plays a role in the Super 17 arc, Uub plays a role in the Baby arc, Trunks and Pan had arcs dedicated to them, we learned about what Goten and Gohan were up to in times of peace, etc.
you have given me more and more reason to adore dragon ball over the years with your interpretations and detail on the series as a whole and your comedy mix with thoughts feelings and discussions expanding the universe with the what ifs and importance of certain aspects plus your involvement with the abridged series ... I don't know if you will ever see this but know I'm a huge fan of yours and adore all the content you give us because of how well you formulate the facts and opinions and all the detail inbetween ...
I broadly speaking agree, admittedly I wouldn't have been super invested in Trunks and Goten (Maybe Uub for me) but more Pan stuff would have been cool, the older team getting some more focus and Ledgic (Gosh how I wish they'd utilised him more) would have been cool. I totally agree with you on the themes of the series being consequences and careful what you wish for as well as responsibility, an element which had sort of been fading as they got more and more cavalier about the fate of the world/universe. Totally agreed on Baby and the Shadow Dragons, though admittedly I would have suggested changing Baby's name and maybe focusing a bit more on either his nature as basically a weapon designed as a "screw you" to the Sayians, or an angry entity made of vengeance, and perhaps played up the parasite bit more as a villain who overtakes the heroes to make them fight each other & creates an anti spirit bomb is really unique and could lead to some great and dramatic fights. Huh, you know GT could have had a really ensemble cast actually given Baby & the Shadow Dragons, and even the searching saga, all forcing people to split up and face different foes while the clock is ticking.
Actually now I can't get it out of my head so continuing because why not? So your idea of Pilaf, or whoever, wishing for Goku into a slumber, or setting off his heart virus or something similar to lock him out of the story is great. From there its decided teams need to be sent into space to find the DBs & some need to guard the home-front, Gohan opts for home, not being an adventure type & wanting to care for Goku, as does Vegeta but more due to lack of interest, plus "I had something of a reputation up there, (Smirk)." Thus team 1 (Insisted on by Goten & Trunks) is made of of those two and Piccolo, who feels responsible, but is not relishing spending time with them because, well they're teens & hes's the grump uncle XD Team A (Insisted on by Bra) is made of Bra (Pilot) and Uub and the stowaway Pan who Uub opts to train & knew snuck on, but let stay cos he felt guilt about her missing out on seeing Goku & to train her. And Team unnamed, because the members don't care, made up of 18, Krilling, Yamcha, Chaosu and Tenshinhan. All travel in different directions & get a few episodes each to wrap up varying plots, new or retreads. Though Team 'Human' fight Ledgic, Sheela, Gale, and two former members of the PTO all of whom work for Ledgic & have upped their strength a lot, but lack direction or motivation (Ledgic VS 18, demon guy VS Tenshinhan, Toma VS bulked up Yamcha, Sheela and Gale fuse to face Krillin and Chaosu as they were losing, but get defuses by Chaosu's psychic powers & stomped by Krillin, they're spared and hand over the DBs they'd been collecting.) Not sure what Pan, Uub and Bra would be doing, but a less... silly space cult could work, while Trunks & goten get caught on M while Piccolo is left on the run setting off a distress signal, calling Uub, Bra & Pan. Uub VS Wildo, Piccolo VS Sigma Force & pan goes Supr Sayian against Trunks & Goten under mind controls, but Baby is still awakened and escapes but the heroes think he's dead. Baby assults a ship that team 18 come across & the hospital plot goes on as expected showing the team against parasite Baby & learning off his plans & powers before trying to get back to Earth, all while Trunks and Goten are left unknowingly holding Baby's eggs to get possessed & yes that was meant to sound vaguely creepy. Baby happens, and its the heroes VS Possessed Heroes, possibly leading to SS4 Goku or Majuub or some combination there-of, then the Shadow Dragon saga with more people fighting different dragons before Omega Shenron comes out to play. The instability of the cracked DBs could lead to the ghosts escaping hell if one wanted to actually & justify their bodies coming back as well. Sorry for the ramble.
I really hope after Super they redo some of the aspects of GT. I loved the concept of the shadow Dragons! But make some of them look less stupid.... Keep Nova, Eis, and Sin
You know, I just wish Goku aclaims Super Saiyan 4 somehow. I LOVED his cockiness and confidence. And that badass appearance of his fur covering him. He's one of the best things of GT.
Great discussion. But personally, while I love your ideas, especially of the Overclocked Androids, I would still kept the Hell Arc of GT, mainly because it would have been an awesome concept of all Past Villains coming back for a final attempt at revenge...
DRAGONBALL GT needs what the Dragonball Z series received later on? A; *DRAGONBALL GT Kai* remastered series. Which would cut out all the unnecessary errors with the show and sharpen it up slightly while fixing flub and mistakes and improving picture quality etc. Whether official or fan made etc, i believe this'll happen one day. And kind of redeem DB-GT in the eyes of the fans that still support it.
***** it could've been done much better yes. I'd say that his first death in Z was done overall better, BUT, the music, talking to ADULT Gohan (his bestfriend that we've seen grow this relationship with), and the fact that we KNEW he was NOT coming back from that was devastating
Cutting out the first third of GT will help a lot. It's still not that good regardless. The first third they were trying to get the vibe of the original Dragonball and it didn't work. Then they went all out DBZ but the enemies weren't as interesting. The whole thing is uninspired.
a good way to explain why the blavk star balls couldnt be located is that they were created when kami and king piccolo were still one being and when they split they went dormant until piccolo fused with Kami
If Kid Goku has to stay, then i appropose that when They the wish, it could be a full "reset" of Goku's power, mind and body. That, yeah, all the years that passed? As far as Kid Goku knows, Bulma and Krillin were just teens minutes ago. It serves as an excuse to have Goku meet everyone and learn of everything that has happened across the years and introduce the newcomer audience . ALSO when he becomes SSJ4, then have that Goku's will broke that wish and returned to his normal self (plus a bigger power boost due to "gettingit from childhood and retroactively making him more powerful in the present"). Making SSJ4 more triumphant. ALSO It could be a good waking call to Goku. that yeah things change, and while he can keep true to himself he can change too (like i don't know something cheesy like him wanting to have a calm night with milk remembering things, or have him deciding to open a dojo to properly teach the future generation that is gohan, trunks, uub and pan and heck why not more people. Mr. Stan could easily said that Goku was a secret protege and succesor of him i don't know). ALSO it could incorporate the idea of Goten going alogside Trunks Goku and Pan easily. just say, the ship can actually have 4 members.
the evil dragon arc wasn't that bad, but they could have given vegeta some credit even before that. he could have at least gotten the super saiyan 3 form to fight alongside goku against some dragons. then require ascension to SS4 when Syn/Omega came into the picture.
Vegeta was a pretty crap character who deserved the Yamcha treatment long, LONG before he got it. Literally just an evil knock off of the hero who was kept around specifically to make a saiyajin baby that wasn't Goku's. Otherwise his existence just makes everything worse. I guess now that Goku Black exists, I can't say 100% clone of the main protagonist because at least Vegeta had a few traits that were unique. But he still should have stayed dead after being killed by Freeza.
Could we bring Uub on the trip too ? I mean he spent 10 years ! 10 years with Son Goku, I'm not even sure Chichi spent that much time with him ! That has to account for some kind of strong student/master bound ! You'd understand why Uub'd like to go on a chase after the relics that could bring his former beloved master back to life ! I don't know what's the global opinion on that character but seeing how Gohan didn't want to be much of a fighter, neither did Trunks or Goten, it only makes sense to me that the série would focus on Pan and Uub, the ones that, at the end of Dragon Ball, seemed like the next generation of fighters. What's your opinion on Uub MasakoX ? Would you care to do a video about the guy ?
Damn ... I always pictured them both to be at least 12 ... what the hell Toei ?! I mean ... goku when he met Bulma was 12 !!! If think we can all agree that he's back to that age ... HOW IS HE OLDER THAN PAN AND BRA ?!
Pan is supposedly 10, Bra is supposedly 11 in GT, Pan is 5, Bra is 6 in the end of Z, Bra is older than Pan, they made a plot hole in Super when it came to that, talking about an author that forgets the existence of his own characters... Goku was 14, not 12 when he met Bulma, she was 16, he just looked younger because Toriyama wanted him to but now we can assume he looked younger because he's Saiyan and Saiyans age slower than humans.
Removing Kid Goku would help a lot... Though I found most of the stories pretty interesting, I never felt like there was any real danger for the characters.. Goku showed he could handle pretty much everything and there were few moments where you didn't have that "He can just transform and fix things" feeling in the back of my head for most of GT. I would have loved to see the other characters develop more to deal with problems without that Goku failsafe around :P
The T is half silent. You start with the T sound but about half way through it's pronunciation you go into an S sound. For example, "Tsu" isn't pronounced "soo" it's pronounced "t-soo". It's kind of hard to explain in writing but in short, no, the T is not silent.
Well I guess one way to explain how to make that sound in writing would be imitate the sound of light cymbals from a jazz-band before going into the "oo" sound. Or for other fandoms, try thinking of the "ts" sound in Hatsune Miku. Or if you watched enough avatar, Saka's first girlfriend Tsuki.
You know what else that would fix it? To see someone like Pan and Trunks training. I mean after there journey in space or the Baby incident you would've though that they both would want to get stronger to make sure they want to protect the ones they love. Not only that, some really impressive feats. I mean SSJ4 *was* supposedly the strongest transformation so lets see what else it can do besides lifting a building. Even more so with the villains! I mean you would expect Omega Shenron to do something outrages since he *was* the strongest villian, but what he did to demonstrate his power was destroying a city. Which Nappa had done so already yet everyone was in shock and awe when happened.
second that bro Also amazing how in the manga, from cell beyond they make it clear "shoot this on the ground and you'll blow the planet", but in GT a guy WAY STRONGER THAN MAJIN BUU just destroy a city
it's all about control. In the battle of gods movie beerus rapid fires shots at goku that just destroy a few rocks. Assuming these blasts were remotely capable of damaging goku at this point, then they easily could have destroyed the planet. However beerus, didn't want that (at least not until after the fight), so he made sure to control the extent of their explosions so that they would only destroy a few rocks.
gamingking5 beerus = stupid but interested in a good fight neutra character Omega shenron = pure evil Also, doens't explain why everybody looks in a "OMG HE'S SO POWERFUL, DESTROYED A CITY" way
They should've made him destroy a whole galaxy with a single Ki blast to demonstrate his power, destroying a city for the supposedly the strongest Villain ever, the final boss, was lame as fuck.
The black star Dragon Balls are also my theory behind why the God of Destruction doesn't exist in GT - proto-Kami created them to kill Beerus, knowing how dangerous he is. That's why those Dragon Balls have such a high cost, in order to give them the power necessary to do that. And kami went to space to track them down with his ship, and only kept them around after splitting as a last resort should Beerus or someone as dangerous as him rear their head again.
Bulla/Bra should tag along with them on space adventure too, it was like only opportunity for her to be important and maybe even Uub, because why not...
SSJ4 was amazing, Baby was a good villain, Gogeta was awesome, Omega Shenron was cool. People bash GT and praise Super but there has been like 1 good arc (the current one) and the rest was meh.
maybe because in super, even if there is only one good arc, we have seen some good character development, meanwhile in GT there wasn't almost any of that
Baby was a great villain for DragonBall as he was the first villain since Frieza with a good villain motive as well as interesting powers. Omega Shenron is a huge meh villain. He just so..... flat. They even reused Rilldo's face for Omega Shenron's face.
"SSJ4 was amazing, Baby was a good villain, Gogeta was awesome, Omega Shenron was cool" I agree with that part, but those were awesome moments, not whole arcs. Super has cool moments too. Also RoF arc was bad/meh, first one was actually pretty good imo.
I always felt it was such a waste that goku and pan were the only ones to go after the dragons. it could have been a great chance to give others a chance to shine. Goku and uub could have fought one, letting us actually get to see their master student relationship that we didn't get to earlier. goten and trunks could fight another, giving goten some screen time and letting us see an adult gotenks. another could be fought by Gohan - again giving a forgotten character a chance to shine. In this case we can actually get a resolution to his arc. fourth dragon could have been fought by the human/ weaker characters - krillen, tien, yamcha, 18, pan, kibitoshin and others would get their chance to prove that they can be defenders of earth in their own right without relying on saiyans. and then it could be vegeta vs 2 dragons at the same time. this could push him to his limits and provide him the opportunity to become ssj4 himself. And the final dragon could be just like it was in the show, albeit cut down.
With A REBOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Answer to the title of the video) And not to mention that I like this channel, like a ton! And if you ask me, a minor set of tweaks won't do the trick..
I think it probably is. King of All was doing a tournament with other universes as the competitors right? Seems like an odd thing to include unless you planned on including other versions of the series past. I don't think it'll go as crazy as like, Goku learning about SS4 and going SS4Blue but I guess they might make some reference or mention it.
Chadley Bentwick Too much has been rebooted.I'm glad it's not canon but I feel as though super should have taken from GT the serious atmosphere while also showing a more intelligent goku.
Well, to be fair if Gohan trained up he might go SS4 in super? He didn't receive godly training after all but has a huge potential anyway and he wanted to train more to defend his family and all. So he might make an appearance in the universes tournament and surprise everyone there?
I'm actually bias toward Dragon Ball GT since it was my first introduction to the series when I was a child because my dad was a fan of the series. I saw parts of the Shadow Dragon Saga with my dad when I was a child and I really liked it, which caused me to look into Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z when I was older and watch them. Now the series itself (Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Super) is really special to me.
Finally someone that criticize a series in a positive/correct way. Maybe I'm the only one that liked All GT as it is but I really like some of your ideas. Great video~
NotAnotherSteve Well a big part of it *was* that he kept absorbing any ki attacks thrown at him while making it seem like the attacks just didn't affect him at all. You need to factor that in
Ricardo Ortiz-Joseph Here's the thing though, I find it difficult to believe his body could absorb that much energy. Unless the 17's were reprogrammed to have significantly higher power levels and capacities, he shouldn't be able to absorb that much power without overloading. ...then again as the new saying goes "power levels are bullshit".
To be _slightly_ fair, Piccolo's merges with Kami & Nail resulted is absolutely massive net boosts too, so there is some precedence for Dragon Ball Merges to not simply be A + B = A&B
In my head-canon, Goku came back from his monkey-transformation induced rage when he became super saiyin 4 for the first time because Pan turned Super Saiyin (1 in case that wasnt obvious, not 2). She was so upset about her grandpa losing his mind to the transformation that she transformed. And Goku was just so damned proud and shocked that it snapped him out of his oozaru state. None of this tiny family picture bullshit. Just sheer familial pride (and maybe some saiyin pride too)
I actually liked that they turned Goku back into a kid. Not because of "omg, it's such a great change to relive the old dragon ball days" but because it dialed back his power and thus the ridiculous power creep that the series had already built up, so that they didn't wind up having to fight against straight up gods or what have you. I mean, that would be really bad writing; who the hell would endorse tha-- oh. Damn it...
Agree, the levels that they are at with Dragonball Super now are ridiculous, half the moves in the fights they do don't even make sense with the power scales they are working with. But, I think they could have done something else to tone down the powers in GT of not just Goku, but all of the Sayians. Imagine if the series started with someone like Yamcha accidentally wishing that there was no SSJ? And then Baby attacks and the team is no longer strong enough to fight them off without the SSJ powers? The team is forced to look for the lack star dragonballs because the SSJ powers are too great for either Shenron or the Namakian Dragon to restore. And then you move forward with the consequences of using the black star balls. It would make the adventure of finding the dragon balls come back because the team would have actual obstacles in their way that could stop them. The Baby saga could feature Uub a lot more since he's the remaining one with tons of power. Side characters could face their own battles within their own power scale in order to get the black star ball they were looking for. Imagine how cool it would be to see a whole 2-3 episode mini-arc centered on Tien and Chaozu retrieving the 3 star ball and having to fight some alien race, or maybe even remnants of Friezas army that are trying to hunt down the black star balls in order to revive their master?
@@jarredf95 if they realy wanted to justify Goku being a kid, Be actually bold and say the wish really made Goku a kid in everythign. Mind, body, and all. that he is as powerful as he was in the original and doesn't even know how to do the Kamehameha. it would be an interesting way to introduce the audience to GT's present through a reset Kid Goku. AND have that at the beginning they didn't know the world was gonna blow up and only later after having shenanigans with trying to make Kid Goku remmeber everything he has done so far and try to train him again (like 5 or 6 episodes), discovering yeah the world is gonna blow up soon. AND if Goku actually is able to learn how to fly or do kamehameha quickly or become super saiyan 3 it could be forshadowing about him starting to undo the wish on his own (and triumphantly have his SSJ4 completely undo the wish and have him as an adult again at the end of the baby saga)
Yes, the main flaw of GT was making Goku kid again. That simply didn't work. Also, I'd use Goten instead of Goku (like you suggested), but I'd make him a giant like Nappa. His uncle was huge Raditz and he's a grandson of Ox King after all. Instead of Trunks I'd use Bra. Trunks had his moments as his future version in Z. During the show Goten could teach Pan and Bra the fusion dance. As for SS4... I'd change the fur color to yellow instead of pink, because pink doesn't make any sense. Not to mention I'd love to see SSG to actually look like SS4, maybe without fur and a tail (Broly looks suspiciously familiar to SS4, don't you think?).
The overclocked androids sounds kinda dumb. As does killing Goku at the start. Your basically redoing ideas in Z only lamer. The androids going after Goku again, and killing Goku at the start of the show again. Neither idea is really an improvement.
When I first watched the video I questioned his thinking of Christmas when hearing Ssj4 Gogeta's theme... Then immediately checked it out and OH BOY, THAT IS DEFINITELY CHRISTMAS.
All Pan did was get into trouble only to get bailed out by goku and trunks throughout the entire show. In the remake let's actually make her likeable and give her some independence. Also give her a super saiyan trnasformation.
I honestly just enjoyed Baby, Ssj4 Gogeta and Ssj4 in general and Omega, but i do prefer GT over Super, i mean i haven't watched it in a while maybe cuz ive been watching Fist of The North Star, JoJo and catching up on manga with berserk
The black star dragonballs never should have existed, they are an infinite spiral of plot hole. Since they can kill, why not wish veggie and nappa, Cell or Buu dead? "Oh but they'll blow up the planet the wish was made on!"...........er ok, take the balls to an uninhabited planet and make the wish there.... Then, use the regular dragonballs to wish all the black star ones back into one place, rise and repeat.
As a side note, if the black star balls destroy the planet the wish is made on, what happens if you make the wish in space on a ship or a meteor or something? (rhetorical question, i know that isnt addressed in the series)
Can the suepr dragonballs grant a wish to kill people though? Was that ever established? Also i think it can be reasonably assumed hed rather do it all himself for greater satisfaction.
AdamusUmbra Well, if it's implied that the Super Balls were the ultimate balls, why wouldn't it? That second point is what I mean when I mentioned suspending belief. There's always ways to poke holes in any story of this type, though it's missing the point of why it's happening.
AdamusUmbra Also I think it can be assumed that the Dragon Balls can cause direct harm, I seem to recall the Z crew wishing to destroy the incoming Saiyans but due to them being stronger and out of the dragon's capabilities , it was not possible. So a difference of power seemed to be the issue for the normal balls.
The name change of the Devil Dragons are really unnecessary to me. Yes, Yixinglong, Liangxinglong, Sanxinglong, Sixinglong, Wuxinglong, Liuxinglong and Qixinglong are confusing names, but at least, they are named after their balls.
The crux of the matter is that when Vegeta turns SSJ4 he automatically acquires leather trousers from nowhere, and that is objectively cool.
Yami proved that leather pants are important
Leather Pants is the power
I agree
I agree. But, the fact of the matter is that he wore those the whole series, along with that red tank top.
Is this a crossover episode?!
The biggest sin was teasing and not delivering an adult Gotenks
one thing for sure is, No matter how much people hate or love GT. You have to admit, that, th dragon balls becoming the final enemy of the franchise is the best concept for the final antagonists the franchise could ever hope to have (and is still the best)
It just comes full circle
I don’t find him scary actually. But he is a cool villain
I'd say omega shenlong due to the fact that he'll do any evil deed just cause.
He was trained by Goku for years and even got a huge power up in the Baby arc only for it to mean nothing right after, when Baby changed forms again.
yeah. somehow everything, EVERYTHING could stay the same as long as Uub became relevant and not be wasted
How about no? How about admitting that character sucked and we already have our established cast of better characters. We don't need him!
Instead, goku should have trained pan
@@spndusk2362 you don't need to get rid of him. Just characterize him properly.
@@spndusk2362 yes we do need him. Vegeta had cabba
Have the wish that turn him into a kid in everything (mind, body, power levels, don't be shy), ad BOOM. there you go the first "be careful what you wish for"
I agree completely with the sentiment that GT should have had Goten and Trunks as its primary characters, I mean just think about it GT.
Nicholas Perry Goten and Trunks.
Nicholas Perry
It just makes sense
Liz Lee
Agreed
Nicholas Perry
😲
I always wondered what GT stod for. Thank you
*stood
I really didn't hate GT. Though I kinda hated Goku being a kid the whole damn time, too much Trunks, and the way everyone looks like they're all oiled up. Seriously, why are they all so shiny?!
Robert Sides Lubrification is a good thing.
when it was first released and i was a kid, i absolutely hated GT. As i got older and got over the fact that goku was a kid the entire time as well I actually liked it
Robert Sides
I liked that they made Goku a kid because he’d just destroy any threat so easily and since he was a kid, he got weaker and the fights were harder so it was a good thing. Plus we got to here the better dub kid Goku voice. The now voice is so bad!
Robert Sides They did it with DBS too if i remember(?) and many modern db installment, idk i think they love to apply those style lol
maybe because of the stiffy type animation so they apply those style of color to match with animation style
Robert Sides too much trunks is never a problem.
What are you talking about? I LOVED that Goten fighting off Baby while going on a date with his girlfriend scene.
Yeah it's good.
Love sant im
Agreed, it was about time he grew a personality.
The scene is cool, but is ALL he does. He could have had his girlfriend but also stepping into the dragon ball adventure.
I mean, first of all, let us take away that "Killing his own minions for fun" bullshit, and secound of all:
Imagine a episode showing a city of people controlled by Baby, at their own perspective...
Dado Bojart I agree with what you said on everything though I still get confused on the whole 17 thing from both super and gt cause I'm still in z in my head he died when cell died cause only 18 came out of cell so only she would've survive plus the writers needed her to be a love interest for krillan they really didn't need him which was a waste where they could have had him fight in the buu ark plus also if only krillan and 18 had a son too and was a fighter cause a similar theme that a lot is the next generation of heroes not just the of the saiyans but of the earth fighters as well
+Dado Bojart
I agree the hunt for the Black Star dragonball's arc really need major improvement (like for example have more people in space perhaps even in different groups and most important of all force Vegeta to do the Para para dance because this would be the most hilarious thing ever)
I personally would really entertain the Idea of bring the Piccolo daimao concept back of when a minion is in pain so is his creator and so making bebi much more connected to the persons he took over.
Also would I make his main end goal to take every one in the universe over to create eternal peace in the universe under his rule making his plan seem like something good based on the viewers perspective.
I thing the thing the Super 17 arc would need the most is to spent more time with 17 before he gets brainwashed making the fight against him more emotional and perhaps let all of it not even end with one killing the other but by letting the real 17 take control over the super 17 body and so end for a change of pace an arc not with brute force also would this give us another super powerful Character who now feels like he has to make up for his actions under Geros and muue's control for the next arc
With the Shadow dragons being the big final villains of the series and being the result of everything that has happened until now would this be the perfect time to give everyone right before the end one last time to shine by letting every one go on the hunt for the Shadow Dragons and give before the Final fight everyone one last big moment which would also excuse the weaker dragons so that the other weaker Character have someone to fight that there can actually beat.
Dado Bojart I fully agree with this. Also, in GT’s final arc, give ALL the heroes screen time against the shadow dragons.
Lmao, bloody brilliant. XD
Ghost Goku gt=goku time
Super is Goku and Vegeta, nobody else. Point broken.
How do you fix it:
1) No kid Goku. Fuck kid Goku
2) Goten instead of Trunks in space. We aldready saw an adult Trunks in Z. It's not exactly like the one in GT, but we have an idea of how he looks and acts. Goten, on the other hand, is basically a new character now, and he got little to no space in GT. We didn't even see adult Gotenks, that was a big mistake.
3) Make Pan less annoying
4) Make the search for the Dragon Balls in the universe more interesting.
6) Remove Super 17 or create a completely different villain
7) Make only one Shadow Dragon.
MasakoX has pointed out before that we really never get to see any character development for Goten, and that would have been a great opportunity.
what about FUCKING UUB that nigga was hyped at the end of z as being the next earth savior
8) Stop reusing the face of that random red dancing dude into different villains (Rilldo and Omega Shenron)
I didn't like Goten's design in GT. It was the most mundane. He should have looked like Goku modified, lke same hair but shorter or same hair but in street clothes like a hoodie or something, or long. His hair cut looks generic
GadGades That too. His design in the last episode of Z was better
goku getting killed by the wish from the black star balls would have made the most sense. actually, it could have worked out where emperor pilaf, as his wish, could have been "Oh how i wish I could send you to hell!" and boom, goku is in hell. enternal suffering, having to fight against ALL the villains goku has had to fight over the years, and the black star balls could have some clause to them where a normal dragon cannot undo the wish of a black star dragon due to the immense power difference.
so to sum up, goku is dead and in hell, and the crew have to go out to get the black star balls to wish goku alive again cause a good guy being in hell is a pretty big no-no. that premise alone could be interesting and could incorporate the later hell arc stuff and super 17.
+Zekana0
That's perfect!
Zekana0 Thats kinda dark and awsome at the same time .. I think Super should implement that idea ..
sorry but, nah actually that wouldn't make any sense there's kind of a flaw there, since the Red Dragon of those dragon balls was still created by someone waaaaaaay inferior than GT adult Goku thererfore it wouldn't be nearly as powerfull as GT adult Goku (which is even more powerfull than canon end of Z Goku, which in turn is more powerfull than Super obviously), and just like it was in the saiyans saga you couldn't just wish for someone to go away if the creator has less power than the one you wanna dissapear, besides the Black Star Dragon Balls aren't much different than the regular ones, just more dangerous, they supossely (and it was explained) were created by Kami while he had evil inside so they're kinda evilish and that's why they were hidden... anyways, turning Goku into a kid nerfing him was the perfect wish for a plot to go on, see it like a trolly turn of destiny plot device though (the most insignificant villain in DB was the one that messed with the most OP hero XD)
VixXstazosJOB It doesnt have to be the Black Star dragon balls necessarily it can be the Super Dragonball that can wish for goku to go to hell.
I really wish they would have brought the Super Saiyajin 4 transformation back. It was so well designed..
Joey Gray no you’re right about super saiyan 4 but you know what you did
agreed 😩
The only real issue I have with SSJ4 is the name, as an alternative, I tend to use "Primal Saiyan". Super Saiyan 4 implies that it requires SSJ3 as a stepping stone, which it isn't even a part of the same power tree branch. Below is a crude ASCII rendering of what I mean.
Super Saiyan 4 / Primal Saiyan

Super Saiyan Blue.................Super Saiyan Grade 3 (Ludicrously Buff Trunks)
To me, if GT were being rewritten for the the main canon, SSJ2 and 3 would just be forms of dialing up the power output of SSJ1, and once SSJ4 is achieved SSJ2 and 3 and Oozaru are rendered inaccessible, since there’s no need for those forms anymore.
bluemew22 Super.....Saiyan.......Primal.........my god.......it's perfect.
How do you know it doesnt require ss3? For all we know, it requires both a tail and the ability to go ss3 in order to do it naturally.
Sean Black I do believe that you can literally skip right to four. Considering that it re-grows the tail, sure it could require something like the tail and the golden Oozaru but again the fourth form re-grows the tail. Hell for all we know to be super Saiyan Primal(four) all you have to do is BE A SAIYAN!
ball, z, gt, kai, heroes, super....absalon can't we all just get along and agree that evolution was bullshit
absalon?
Gabriel Wright-Dunn it's a fan made series on YT
Evolution wasn't shit... it was a sin against all mankind!
Chris Stewart
You don't have to argue it.
Everyone who has watched the DB series would agree
you really need to forget evolution, you're only adding to the cancer when you talk about it
I like a lot of the concepts in GT. (Though SSJG-the red one-is definitely a close second.)
It's a shame the execution was so flawed.
*Definitely the weakest, but it's still not bad.
Timothy McLean
Agreed. Though there was too much Goku, not enough everyone else, and some other problems as well
Ricardo Ortiz-Joseph There were a _lot_ of problems. I didn't make it through the Baby Saga, but from what I saw, the good concepts didn't permeate past those high concepts.
I've always thought that vegeta's dumb gt hair was just a result of him cutting it. so it's not a natural change. thus a plot hole is avoided
Exactly. He cuts his hair and grows a goatee.
Vegeta, despite being the one stating the "laws" of saiyan hair, defies it the most, having bangs as a kid.
I imagine he just cut them when he got older?
I might be wrong here, but I thought the story was that not too long after getting his sword from Tapion young Trunks accidentally cut his father's hair while practicing/playing with it, and Vegeta just kept the goofy flat top and grew his fabulous mustache until his pride reared its head and he realized people, particularly his daughter, where making fun of how he looked now behind his back so he did his best to re-spike his now shorter hair to try to look like his younger self again
The Price of Horror thats a pretty funny idea.
Mary Shepherd they are the team rocket of dragon Ball
Enough said
Once GT went more towards the DBZ formula, the series got much better.
(And yes I know Super is going for more of a combined atmosphere/writing of Z and Dragonball, and for the most part has done it well.)
Yes I know Future Trunks and Trunks aren't the same person.
+SmaugUKA
Have to disagree with Trunks.
Dude, he didn't say make GT Trunks like Future Trunks. He said make him less of a wimp and don't dress up like a Scooby Doo character -_-
Triixster Read what Kenneth Cha said bro. At least he reads what I said, and doesn't for some reason COMPLETELY miss my entire last paragraph. LOL Sometimes it scares me how people can miss the most obvious things, or disregard a statement or paragraph and only take 1 word/sentence/phrase, and base everything off of that...even if that isn't the point at all in the first place.
gt should of been gotens time to shine, and to see a more powerful vengeful raditz would of been great, pan should of been a hell of alot better, i was always 50/50 about gt.
there was so much potential with GT that just... didn't get the talent it deserved.
GT was ALMOST going to be about Goten's ark, but people raised a shit fit when that plan was revealed.
Whats your problem he didint do anything to you
Whats your problem he didint do anything to you
Didn't Raditz die? I may be wrong, but the only way for him to come back would be for somebody to wish him back with the Dragon Balls. And who would even do that? Nobody likes Raditz.
They should have done more with Uub. His character was completely wasted in GT.
I like the concept of Uub and Buu fusing to Majuub. It's a nice idea, GT had lots of nice ideas, but they weren't executed very well.
***** A damn shame really..
I was wondering when he would mention Uub. But he didn't
Marray Taleus man pan had some potential to become badass but they fucked it up
Son Goku Black Oh yeah, Pan....They ruined her character and turned her into a worthless bratty half-pint.Anyone who wasn't Goku got the Yamcha treatment.
Sauce Uchihahahahahaha Have at least 5 Charters to get there spotlight. Kidgoku or adult goku,Trunks,Pan,Goten and Bulla.

How long does it make you to script/make these videos?
cause wow these are high quality
Scripting and recording takes about 1 1/2 hours and the editing about another 3, so a little under 5 hours. :)
+MasakoX
Wow, that's amazing man.
Keep up these great videos, they're very informative.
MasakoX can you do a video on future gohan
Actually a couple of more things I can think of to maybe make it even better:
The Shadow Dragon arc using all of the characters.
Now I know what your thinking "but the king of all..." that would make sense but they could also make the shadow dragons too strong for even the king of all to handle.
man, I wanna watch that show
Hozzy BFD Or Maybe Zenos just doesn't interfere in that kind of stuff, after all Zamasu is free to run around in Future Trunk's world.
Samuel Baugh
How to fix GT: a TFS abridging would do the trick!
They've said they don't plan to go past buu. And though they've done clips from super, that's just it. Clips.
Plus Kaiserneko would probably be highly against the idea
@@kylemarsh8971 there's only like 50 episodes they should shorten out perfectly like they're doing with Z😂
👏NAILED IT!
Wow. You just made me think of an awesome story for the 17 & 18 thing. After thinking that idea over, I actually liked 18 as a character, and wish more time was dedicated to her development and a story that leads to her actually seeing goku as a friend. She's so strong, she could be something great for the team.
Dragon Ball Super heard your wish and granted it.
I have a theory. What if there was a timeline where Lord Beerus never woke up. That timeline would be the timeline where GT exists.
What if that dragon ball super garbage never really existed? Fixed
What if Beerus woke up during GT?
Then Frieza would get revived and absolutely stomp everyone. Not even SS4 Gogeta X20 Kaioken could touch Golden Frieza.
@@davidlarkin1040 Base GT Goku assraped Cell and Freeza. Golden Freeza would be light work even if he trained for a year.
Gt is still canon
also wheres Lunch ?
OmegaValwin is it lunch or launch?
CanuckEhh
i dont even know anymore
to be fair he just kind of forgot about her and so much more
it was said she went after tienshenhan and never returned
OmegaValwin toriyama forgot her
How did you not mention removing Giru? He Jar Jar Binksed the hell out of this show.
probably forgot he even existed. I usually do.
Nackers69 To be fair they went out of they're way to destroy him in almost every single arc later.
.... just no lol, he was awesome and relevant XD
+VixXstazosJOB He was only relevant because he SWALLOWED the Dragon Ball radar. They could've cut him out entirely, as there's no real reason for Giru to even be in the show other than "Giru's run off and we need to find him because he's our radar now", which could've easily been replaced by them either misplacing the radar or it getting stolen.
whatever, he was cool imo, and he doesn't deserve to be offended by comparing him to JarJar lol
Ironically I did a fanfiction on that very concept.
iTouchin
Maaaybe, but Baby was still SO ANNOYING which really betrays his justifed existence as a villain.
the opposite is also true.
Not gonna lie, I had a huge crush on Pan back in middle school. I got over it later, but I still really like her as a character.
I'm personally just wanting 17 to actually have some screentime
He could just hang out and kinda be there and make some comments and I'd be happy
Nagatem Ts Super saw your comment and said "You want 17 screentime? We'll give 17 screentime."
Uh...we are just going to ignore the Super 17 arc?
yes
Maybe in the super movie coming up?
I think you covered all bases really well here.
With one exception: Completely cut out the pompara brothers *shudder*
+Akinokaze Haruichiban
No, change who they meet.
Akinokaze Haruichiban yes I hated those three brothers they are the worst thing ever from gt
Well they're less annoying than Ribrianne in Super now was.
Akinokaze Haruichiban
Don't they dance for literally half an episode?
Akinokaze Haruichiban that was my favorite part of the first arc and I only saw the first arc.
How I would improve DBGT:
Black star balls arc- The same opinion as you.
Goku leaves with Shenron.
something I don't get is why do the black star balls exist. it just never made sense to me.
+iTouchin Wrong zamasu wanted to switch bodies with goku and wished himself immortality after going back in the past killing gowasu.
+iTouchin The black star balls was just blaah...
My points/complaints of GT
1) What was really the point of turning Goku into a kid, yes re-live the original Dragon Ball, but with an adult mind and so on it's not the same.
5) The ass pull to let Vegeta go SS4
6) What was the point of Bra, I get she was introduced beer the end of Z but my opinion still stands. Plus wasn't she and Pan like 14 at the oldest (depending on dubs) so what the hell?
7) Giru was even more annoying than Pan
I could go on but I don't really want to, just about everything I said I'm sure like 100 or thereabouts also said in the comments below and above me.
True fam
What was so annoying about Pan?
From there its decided teams need to be sent into space to find the DBs & some need to guard the home-front, Gohan opts for home, not being an adventure type & wanting to care for Goku, as does Vegeta but more due to lack of interest, plus "I had something of a reputation up there, (Smirk)."
Thus team 1 (Insisted on by Goten & Trunks) is made of of those two and Piccolo, who feels responsible, but is not relishing spending time with them because, well they're teens & hes's the grump uncle XD
Team A (Insisted on by Bra) is made of Bra (Pilot) and Uub and the stowaway Pan who Uub opts to train & knew snuck on, but let stay cos he felt guilt about her missing out on seeing Goku & to train her.
And Team unnamed, because the members don't care, made up of 18, Krilling, Yamcha, Chaosu and Tenshinhan.
All travel in different directions & get a few episodes each to wrap up varying plots, new or retreads. Though Team 'Human' fight Ledgic, Sheela, Gale, and two former members of the PTO all of whom work for Ledgic & have upped their strength a lot, but lack direction or motivation (Ledgic VS 18, demon guy VS Tenshinhan, Toma VS bulked up Yamcha, Sheela and Gale fuse to face Krillin and Chaosu as they were losing, but get defuses by Chaosu's psychic powers & stomped by Krillin, they're spared and hand over the DBs they'd been collecting.)
Not sure what Pan, Uub and Bra would be doing, but a less... silly space cult could work, while Trunks & goten get caught on M while Piccolo is left on the run setting off a distress signal, calling Uub, Bra & Pan.
7:37 I'm more surprised if why Major Metalitron ( dragon Ball ) and Android 19 are there. do robots have souls?
Casey Keith
They may as well. Besides, robot soul is more realistic than Kid Buu reincarnating as Uub but Majin Buu still existing.
I know so unfair cause if those robots have souls why can't 16 come back 😭
Great discussion.
This is beyond science, but modern problems require modern solutions. I think that it's an outstanding move, though.
I never cried while watching Z but I cried 3 times in GT: Piccolo's sacrifice, Goku says goodbye and Goku Jr's adventure
DarkHero - Destiny Content I will admit, for piccolos sacrifice, I was close to tears
Oh yes, GT was pretty fucking good at emotional farewells
If it can make my father cry, and that nigga manly..... GT's emotional farewell good in my book
***** it could've been done much better yes. I'd say that his first death in Z was done overall better, BUT, the music, talking to ADULT Gohan (his bestfriend that we've seen grow this relationship with), and the fact that we KNEW he was NOT coming back from that was devastating
DarkHero - Destiny Content Dude I almost cried
This was a great video of your interpretation of what GT was and should've been. Also, is that a piano mix of the GT opening theme?
That's right - link is in the description for the original. :)
Cutting out the first third of GT will help a lot. It's still not that good regardless. The first third they were trying to get the vibe of the original Dragonball and it didn't work. Then they went all out DBZ but the enemies weren't as interesting. The whole thing is uninspired.
they were the most interesting enemies
a good way to explain why the blavk star balls couldnt be located is that they were created when kami and king piccolo were still one being and when they split they went dormant until piccolo fused with Kami
Vegeta never learn Super Saiyan three because it is a useless form that has never won a fight.
Mirai Trunks?
They should have let the other fighters fight the Dragons along with Goku instead of just sitting around doing nothing while the world was in danger.
Masako Look After DBNA (Dragonball New Age). Malik rewrite for his story DBGT and I like it very much.
*5 years.
Right, sorry, 10 is the funimation dub ... wait ... then is Pan supposed to be 9 years old in GT ?
ShineyCrow Yeah, and Bra is EIGHT years old.
They fucked up the character designs.
I love the tagline you came up with "Be careful what you wish for" it just fits so well
Yeah, I'd keep the Black Star Saga over 12 episodes.
4:55, He keeps saying superghdgkjnfkjdhjhdgfdf's but aren't they called Tuffles?
They were called Tsufuru in Japanese.
PissedGrunty and word that start with "ts" has the T be silent! Right?
Mike Thompson
In Spanish dbz , they were called “SUFURUYJIN” which sounds like what he is saying here in the vid
Which Nappa had done so already yet everyone was in shock and awe when happened.
second that bro
Also amazing how in the manga, from cell beyond they make it clear "shoot this on the ground and you'll blow the planet", but in GT a guy WAY STRONGER THAN MAJIN BUU just destroy a city
it's all about control. In the battle of gods movie beerus rapid fires shots at goku that just destroy a few rocks. Assuming these blasts were remotely capable of damaging goku at this point, then they easily could have destroyed the planet. However beerus, didn't want that (at least not until after the fight), so he made sure to control the extent of their explosions so that they would only destroy a few rocks.
gamingking5 beerus = stupid but interested in a good fight neutra character
Omega shenron = pure evil
Also, doens't explain why everybody looks in a "OMG HE'S SO POWERFUL, DESTROYED A CITY" way
They should've made him destroy a whole galaxy with a single Ki blast to demonstrate his power, destroying a city for the supposedly the strongest Villain ever, the final boss, was lame as fuck.
People bash GT and praise Super but there has been like 1 good arc (the current one) and the rest was meh.
maybe because in super, even if there is only one good arc, we have seen some good character development, meanwhile in GT there wasn't almost any of that
Universe 6 was good aswell. The only arcs that were bad, were the redo movie arcs
Michael Aries don't forget the super android 17 stuff
No one kill me but......I loved GT! I agree that with what you said about its improvements but it is definitely my favorite DragonBall series to date
To be honest I'd totally watch some kind of movie or miniseries that was just a refined remake of Gt
is that clock broken?
It's actually a prop clock from an old movie set my grandfather worked on.
With A REBOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Answer to the title of the video) And not to mention that I like this channel, like a ton!
And if you ask me, a minor set of tweaks won't do the trick..
+MasakoX
born to be a voice actor I suppose
love the vids and reboot
jay crist reboot?? As in the sense of a GT reboot?
i still think Super should tie into GT (and for them to revamp GT to make it better :D )
agree
I think it probably is. King of All was doing a tournament with other universes as the competitors right? Seems like an odd thing to include unless you planned on including other versions of the series past. I don't think it'll go as crazy as like, Goku learning about SS4 and going SS4Blue but I guess they might make some reference or mention it.
Chadley Bentwick Too much has been rebooted.I'm glad it's not canon but I feel as though super should have taken from GT the serious atmosphere while also showing a more intelligent goku.
thats the best solution :D
Well, to be fair if Gohan trained up he might go SS4 in super? He didn't receive godly training after all but has a huge potential anyway and he wanted to train more to defend his family and all. So he might make an appearance in the universes tournament and surprise everyone there?
Gotta ask, why 50fps?
It's because I live in the UK and my camera outputs at 720p at 50 frames per second. :)
MasakoX You know I am glad I can see a popular you tuber in the Uk
Oh I knew you are from the UK, just wondered why the camera didn't have 60fps.
weird because my galaxy s7 camera does 60fps
Honestly I'm glad you don't upload at 60, for some reason when viewing youtube at 60fps it tends to stutter with dropped frames.
The only reason I watched gt was because I wanted to see Vegeta go supersayan with a mustache
Wowmow
Did it happen?
Whenever you feel like you start to hate this show, think about Dragonball: Evolution.... You will start to see reason
The Android idea you had actually wouldnt be a bad idea. I thought it was ridiculous how powerful Super 17 became from a simple merge.
NotAnotherSteve
Well a big part of it *was* that he kept absorbing any ki attacks thrown at him while making it seem like the attacks just didn't affect him at all.
NotAnotherSteve
17 could've trained all those years. Since he's a cyborg, he can still get stronger through training.
To be _slightly_ fair, Piccolo's merges with Kami & Nail resulted is absolutely massive net boosts too, so there is some precedence for Dragon Ball Merges to not simply be A + B = A&B
CenetaurmanE52
You have a point there
Your idea to change the Super 17 saga works. I wouldn't mind seeing that because it will keep me glued to my seat.
Damn it...
Andrés Cifuentes you could say the same with dbz and aliens
100% agree with this. Power now in dvs is just ridiculous.
It didn’t dial back on his power that much, considering he was still stronger than everyone and beat all the villains tbh
I wish they had focused more on Goten and Bra.
They actually said the black star dragon Balls were on a different frequency in the Japanese dub
wow! i really liked all of your ideas!
I love all db series
me too
Simple, don't make GT all about Goku, make Pan NOT useless, and don't make him overpowered to the point he surpassed everyone else while in Base form.
The overclocked androids sounds kinda dumb. As does killing Goku at the start. Your basically redoing ideas in Z only lamer. The androids going after Goku again, and killing Goku at the start of the show again. Neither idea is really an improvement.
One thing you neglected to mention about the 17/18 failsafe: why would it suddenly go off now? Why not ten years ago? Or more?
When I first watched the video
I questioned his thinking of Christmas when hearing Ssj4 Gogeta's theme...
Then immediately checked it out and OH BOY, THAT IS DEFINITELY CHRISTMAS.
Put GT aspects into Super
Unpopular opinion, I actually loved GT.
Majespecter Kuro same
Majespecter Kuro same
Majespecter Kuro everything besides super 17 and some or most music
Ugh
Majespecter Kuro i hated the soundtrack but it had some good ideas
How about Pan existing literally just to be a damsel in distress for Goku to save? She should've gone Super Saiyan and became relevant.
+AdamusUmbra Like asking why didn't zamas just wish all sentient mortals dead... You have to suspend belief that this is their ultimate plan!
MAKE GT GREAT-
FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
The name change of the Devil Dragons are really unnecessary to me. Yes, Yixinglong, Liangxinglong, Sanxinglong, Sixinglong, Wuxinglong, Liuxinglong and Qixinglong are confusing names, but at least, they are named after their balls.
I love DBGT, specially its soundtrack, and totally agree. :)
The idea that one of the dragons was made from oolong wishing for panties was hilarious
Don’t care what anyone says. Super 17 stays.
His design is... just awesome.
