To dissolve the salicylic acid for toner. Heat it with propylene glycol or propanediol. It would dissolve then add water. It'll re-crystalize cause of the ph. So all you have to do is increase the ph and its going to be clear back. You can start with 1% salicylic acid and 10% solvent.

I've made a 2% salicylic acid toner. I dissolved it in propilene glycol (48%) first, that way it went into the water. Haven't tried with other proportions to the propilene glycol, but that's a baseline if you wanna try

I was so excited to see someone use all the sanitizing steps and the use of as clean as possible techniques in a home formulation studio. I am a old infection control nurse. You are probably the person to ask my question too. I am getting ready to move from home formulation to production for sales. How should I sanitize my packaging glass jars, roller containers and balls, lip tube containers, plastic jars and bottles. I am just try to do it right. Thank you.

I do honestly love these types of videos, from anyone and about anything. (As in it doesn’t need to be skincare related, I just like seeing behind the scenes stuff. I don’t know, it’s like soothing and satisfying for some reason! Haha!)
But I wanted to ask, with the pH meter, do you need to clean it after each formula? Or is the solution enough of a clean that it’s okay to then go and stick it into another to check the pH?
I am hesitant on buying one because even though you video, and many others, have answered so many good questions... I then think of irrational ones I feel like no one else would and then don’t buy one. 😂
Also, how is the overhead mixer? I’ve been looking into them, clearly for the benefit of the product, but I’ve also just had shoulder surgery and I want to pretty much never overwork it again. Haha!
Sorry. For the book I’ve posted! 😬
