Good vid. I wouldn’t be able to do your first drill as the alignment stick placed upright would “put me off”. I do a drill very similar to the second one you demonstrated (alignment stick on the ground after the ball). Except I put the alignment stick at a similar angle to yours, on the ground, but place it before the ball and use that as a check point that I’m swinging on the correct path (in to out). I think your method could be very effective as well - I’ll give it a try
Good job Andy. My driver actually goes very straight, so I've got this sorted out. However, I really do want to have a draw in my bag for dogleg left courses. Do I just increase the setup you've outlined ?
I think you left out the setup aspect in the in-to-out drill about the feet staying aligned with the straight direction alignment stick. Would you advertise having your shoulders aligned to the in to out path stick for drill purposes (i.e. a more closed torso to target)?
A video to fix my driver and wood hooks please!! It just showed up and I can't seem to fix it 😒 Great video as always Mr. Carter, hope you and the family are doing well! Cheers from the States
Whilst you wait for that video, a similar drill by moving the alignment stick closer to you for you to swing OVER can work well or the 2nd one where you point the stick on the floor more left to try and feel as though your swing path exits left
Very cool of you to offer free swing alanysis through the app. You didn't mention in the video here what club(s) and what angles (camera position) you'd like swings recorded from. What would you like recorded as far as clubs or camera positions?
We go wrong by assuming that we should align our head with the target, in the backswing; and, that our right leg should face directly in front at the top of our backswing. So, it's not too surprising that we early extend; or, recoil, from the top. And, we are so often told that our body is getting ahead of our arms in the downswing; but, this is so often caused by our arms getting ahead of our body in the backswing. So, how can we sync up the backswing and create depth? Grip the club with just your left hand, arch your wrist, then relax you hand and allow the club to drop down to the ground. This will fully extend your hand. Then raise your position to raise the club off the ground; and, then swing your arm back by pressing back with the lower left part of your neck. Pop your right hand on the club when you get to the top of your back; and, you will most probably find that you are in much deeper position
Like it. Great instruction.
Really nice job Andy, great instruction, thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Thanks 👍

Nice video, Andy. I like how you show us the drills with the alignment rods. Can you do a video for long irons as well, such as 6 irons?
Great tip Andy 👍.
Alignment sticks are a great training aid. I'll definitely be using mine this winter on a few of the tips you've published.
Cheers as always

one of your best

Please do a follow up video on exactly what your arms, hands, and wrists should be doing to square the clubface.

Camera angles for lessons would be face on and down the line, similar to that in this video
Distance behind ball for alignment stick on angle?
About a club length or 2 so it feels like you have space.
@ thanks 👍🏼

No one ever teaches set up, the just skip to hit the ball

I think every single person who instructs golf on UA-cam has a video or twenty, that teach set up
