I want to say they are still all active Voices of Liberty members. I know the ladies are. I saw them 2 weekends ago.
At the current time, all but Jamie and Tony are active singing in Voices of Liberty. Tony, although he no longer sings with Voices of Liberty is the music director of both Voices of Liberty and the Dapper Dans. I believe Jamie's current connection to Voices of Liberty is as an arranger for their newer music. Many Disney musicians do things outside of, but sanctioned by Disney. Tony sings lead in the barber shop competition quartet Mainstreet along with Mike, Myron, and Roger who all sing with the Dapper Dans at Disney World.

Erik Winsnes their Styles are different. Can't really compare them
yeah, PTX is a bit more pop, hiphop, rap, and a pinch of other things
but Voctave is a lot more traditional, classical, theatrical sort of Acapella
thats like comparing a great country rock artist, to a pop rock artist.....similar in style...but not similar enough to compare on who is better so to speak....
I think it comes down to the style you like. Pentatonix are good too, but I don't like the percussion or drum sounds they do. I prefer just the harmonies.
When all the women sing together I get chills.

There are very few things on the internet that are so beautiful they make me tear up, but I bet I have listened to this 100 times in the last few years and I tear up Every. Single. Time. I could not love this performance more.
THE GOOSEBUMPS WONT STOP HELP
The "arpeggiated" "doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doos" that start around the @1:50 sound like water droplets and are amazing and auuugghghhhhhhhh excuse me while I go listen to this 100 more times!
Also, Ashley Espinoza's voice made me melt into a puddle, so if someone has any liquid nitrogen, that would be helpful. I have to get some work done that requires solid legs.

This is one of the most beautiful sounds i've heard in my life. Disney magic + world class talent.
Those bass notes are every bit as impressive as the high notes and the soloist was terrific. Of all the acapella groups I have seen on UA-cam I always thought they were pretty good, even great, until I heard this group. No others top these folks.

Holy crap. The harmonies at the beginning (well throughout the whole thing really) are STUNNING! 0:30 right after she sings "water" there's these beautiful chords and oh my god I love it so much
Dan Satter I could've sworn I heard altos on the moving part (sounds like they go from B3 to D#4 to C#4), but I think you're right, it's probably the tenors! But yeah that part gives me chills every time.
I was talking about the chords int he beginning where the sopranos and altos where the ones singing but the camera is focused on the men. As for the also amazing piece at 0:30 - 0:33, there are three parts, so it is either altos are singing too or the tenors split parts, but I wouldn't for sure assume that the altos did not sing
What about the auto arpegios on 1:48 when the chorus starts again?
The soloist is the perfect fit for this song! Clear as a bell and cuts through the mix perfectly. Also, outstanding mixing by the producer to bring out the bass section.

Ashley Espinoza shines in this Jamey Ray arrangement. Love her voice and technique in this number. Her work in the Windsors certainly prepared her for this role singing in Voctave.

I keep listening to this over and over; it's addictive. The arrangement is just heavenly, and the harmony is beyond my ability to describe. The ending is sublime. Now, I'm going to listen to it again.
Wish the camera were on the soloist during her sustain at 2:35. That's what the ear's drawn to, and not having the camera on her makes watching feel disjointed.
Still amazing though, jeez. What's an arrangement, what a performance.

Please go on a world tour and come to Austria. I get tingles and goosebumps all over when listening to your music on the internet, but I feel like I need to make the experience of a live eargasm really badly
I live in the same city as they due and I know of only one live performance they have done as part of a Bach Festival. They have day time Jobs singing in Disney Parks, so they would have to get a major tour set up and even then they have such great jobs I doubt they would give them up. I could only see this if they toured and it was thru an official Disney sponsored tour.
Some of the members are part of Voices of Liberty at EPCOT. I was there last month and it was amazing to see them in person. A tour is unlikely unless the American Adventure is undergoing a rehab.

There's just something about this group that hits my heart. Literally, every part is so amazing. The Sopranos (especially the one who hits those notes like it's her last time singing) add like.. an nostalgic feeling that makes me wanna cry everytime I hear them. The bases and tenors are like that person that helps you up when you're going through some rough times; the back bones. And ugh, the Altos. I hated singing alto when there wasn't enough of them in our class but I have a new found appreciation for them, because without them, some pieces would just sound.. I dunno, incomplete? They're like the bass guitar in a band. Without them, it would be weird

I have been listening to Voices of Liberty and now Vocative religiously since 1985, studied voice all through college and have been singing ever since. Trust me all, there is no group like this on earth! I have never heard harmony so pure and exact, and thise high notes...my God!
Just bought Voctave's CD from ITunes. "The Corner of Broadway and Main Street", the best Acapella CD period! The Vocal Prowess, Master Control, Pitch Perfection and Rich and Textured Harmonies are untouched by any group out there. Get it, if you appreciate Vocal Artistry! Great Job, Voctave!
Spectacular as always, but this is a particularly excellent arrangement! I have to agree with many others that also appreciate the slightly more emphasized bass parts this time. Very well balanced. I only wish the cameras would keep the basses in frame more often.
