Even now that I'm 24 I still cry when I watch this movie, and Part Of That World is one of the greatest meaningful Disney songs and Voctave performed it beautifully. She has a dramatic instrument within her voice (although she is probably more just a full lyric in categorization) but she is a TRUE soprano, not just in a classical sense but she is also a soprano in "natural voice" if you get what I am saying

Can you point me to where you heard her say she is a mezzo with a high extension? You must be thinking of a different singer, because I have heard this statement exactly but it was a different singer. In fact, Tiffany had been classified (or classified herself) at some point as a coloratura soprano. While I don't think that she would describe herself as such now and I don't think she is as a coloratura, she is definitely a soprano

Crazy part is that’s just her head voice not even whistle registry for her, you can tell by the shape of her mouth. Oml she’s so talented imagine just how higher her whistle registry is!

These guys sound so much like the ultimate smooth cello and bass violin section of a small orchestra. They sound like molasses tastes. Their warm, rich, sustained notes are the perfect counterpoint to those incredible trebles.

This medley is one of my weekly “go to” pick me up videos. When Chrystal sings her part, I have to run it back several times. She voice is like velvet and her singing “We need to paint with all the colors of the wind” it gives me hope. She is perfection.
Ariel’s part especially NAILS that intense feeling of wanting to escape and find her happiness. The emotion is so raw and open it’s so beautiful
Chrystal, the voice of Pocahontas, did an amazing job with this, her voice makes me want to wrap myself up in a fluffy blanket with some hot chocolate and listen to the fireplace crackle.

Each role of voices on this group is just impeccable at doing their job. The bass holding the strong foundation of the low notes for the other voices to not just be thrown away at the air. The tenors are like supporting braces of the ship for sailing. The high notes catching the wind for the ship to sail. The mid notes keeping everything together, etc... Bless you guys.

I just came back from Voctave's concert and I can confirm that somehow their harmonies are just as lush and their intros and exits just as perfect as in their videos.
I have seen (heard) King Singers, Chanticleer and Voces8 in concert and they are fantastic, but Voctave is the best live a capella group I have ever heard.

It's actually not in chronological order; it's in order from highest to lowest voice. Pocahontas was the lowest alto, then Mulan, then Ariel, etc.

Part of Your World is my personal go to when I listen to Voctave. Even though the part is small, it’s such an immersive experience with the harmonies that sound just like the film, and I would die for a full version.
Literally came back for that specific part. Truly immersive and breathtaking rendition.

I’m an alto and I’ve always felt more power came with an alto’s voice (but sopranos are usually more regarded).

While I am a first soprano, I always have said that the altos and basses are what make a choir sexy! They give texture and fullness.

Tachi Tekmo That’s definitely not a G6. Compare to her G6 in “Mary Did You Know?” I think it’s around 2:35. This sounds more like an Eb6.
Her second-highest note is an F#6-the last note IIRC-in the Disney Princess Medley feat. Kristin from Pentatonix. I’d have to listen to the song again but I think she progresses to that note from a C#6.
Her highest note is actually at around 4:49. And she sustains that one too! Kate’s voice is beyond sick! 🔥👍🏾🌟🌟🌟🌟

There are not enough superlatives to express how I feel. This is so beautiful it moved me to tears. I didn't know how I could have this many goosebumps for over 6 minutes straight. I was impressed on note one, and it just kept getting more awe-inspiring. Each vocalist stood out beautifully and it was surprising how well their vocal tone matched the original vocalists. Just phenomenal.
Omg those harmonies on “get some answers” for Part of Your World at 2:50 is absolutely satisfying and gave me chills 👏🔥.

I've come back to this song hundreds of times over the years.... It still brings me chills. Such an unbelievably gorgeous arrangement, every member of the group is perfectly in sync, not to mention that every vocalist is world class. Voctave is truly magic. Music like this gives me great hope for humanity.
I wish this one had more views. It's so much better than the Disney medley featuring Kirsten and Jeremy. Each person in this group has such a unique and amazing voice. I kept getting chills!
