I do want to say this to help others. Since I had to disconnect the neg terminal my computer had to reset. I have a code reader and even after 100 miles of driving on the highway I was not getting a 'Green' light on it. What I didn't know was on the code reader it will show all the codes that have reset, only the 'EV' on it would not reset and I needed to take it to be inspected but you CAN pass inspection with only that code not cleared yet! If there are no other codes that were on the car before that you're okay to pass inspection. Just an F.Y.I. for others. The EV takes a while to reset but it will.
If you have your hood open and standing in front of car, the 3 cylinders closest to you is bank 2, it has a catalytic converter on that bank and 2 sensors close to front of car in front of oil pan. On the bank farthest from you, those 3 are bank 1. You see in video him accessing bank 1 sensor 2. If you look straight up, you can see the other catalytic converter, there is one for each bank. Right next to your oil filter, u find bank 2 sensor 2, above it, bank 2 sensor 1. Accessing bank 1 sensor looks tricky, it’s kind of hidden!
One thing I will add,that 7/8 box end wrench is a little loose.The nut is actually 22mm .I even hit it with my air hammer.Don't have it out yet,but tomorrow!
Easier way of doing this if the O2 is stuck is to get liquid wrench and a small torch they’re about $12-$13 heat till it’s red spray liquid wrench and repeat, let it have a little bit of cool time before heating again,,,tighten loosen tighten loosen back and fourth it will come out that way nobody will ever strip anything but either way works

I keep getting mixed results between amazon and autozone. Was looking at the Bosch 15717 which was apparently upstream and ended up looking at the 15719 and 15724 and now I am stuck between "right downstream" and "left downstream". Wish they would treat it like bank1 or bank2 downstream.

I have a quick question. I went to the mechanic shop to get my o2 sensors changed and was told the part where the o2 sensor sits in has melted around the o2 sensor. Can you tell me the name of that part? I was told I would have to get it from Ford.
Well the catalytic converter is new and the o2 sensors just needed to be changed, but the mechanic said something about "pigtail" and that I have to get it from the Ford dealership.

O2 sensor pre converter reads fuel/oxygen after converter reads fuel/ oxygen then the ECU will either lean out or add fuel to injection after calculating the rest of inputs IE. Throttle,Temperature, mass airflow,speed, rpm and others on some vehicles
My sensor is rusted on there so bad, I tried using a the wrench and hammer, hit it with WD-40 and tried different sockets, the bolt wont budge, anyone have any ideas?

Upstream describes the O2 sensors that come **before** the cat. The upstream sensors tell the computer the oxygen in the exhaust right out of the exhaust manifold so the computer can adjust the mixture for stoich. The downstream O2 sensors only monitor the performance of the cats. If the upstream sensors are bad, it affects the performance of the engine. If the downstream sensors are bad, it only sets a code. So in this case, the upstream sensors on the V6 are on the input side of the two manifold cats high on the exhaust. The downstream sensors are on the bottom of the engine on the output of the manifold cats.

My odb reads code po 136 which is also sensor 2 bank one. Is it possible that 2 different codes apply to the same sensors?
Cut the wires and slide a long reach socket over it.
Rock it back and forth and it will loosen just fine.
Put antizl-seize compiund in the damn thing.
Step #1) cut pigtail wires away from sensor to get it the heck out of the way.

I can’t remember but it was running fine I think, it just had that code but replacing the sensor fixed it.

How can I find the b2s1 o sensor?
Bank 2 is the side close to the radiator. So bank 2 sensor 1 is the upstream sensor on that side. (Pre cat sensor)

Try cutting the wire off the sensor, then use a blowtorch...after that use a deep socket/ratchet with a breaker bar and it might come off.

I have codes p0135, p0141, p0161, & p2270. I replaced all o2 sensors with Bosch ones and still codes came back. Any idea what it could be?
How quick did the codes come back after you reset the check engine light?
