No conductor needed: just a very, very well rehearsed ensemble playing from memory. Incredible.

One of my favorite classical songs. I can’t believe I will finally be able to play this with my orchestra. One of my dreams. 😊

it was very populer in 90s, however some people never forget that piece, also I watched that piece with clip in 90s on the tv. it was the best classical music clip I have ever seen.

Just fabulous! The performance is very engaging, and all parts know their role as far as harmony and orchestration are concerned.

I'm in no way classical or should I say brainy enough to play an instrument I just don't have that ability, i'm just a working class man with maybe at best an average (some would say below average) education if that, but I love classical music it touches some part of the soul of our being deep inside , and my God this masterpiece is one of those pieces of music that goes even beyond that somehow , I first heard this on the film Yanks made in 1979, thank you for posting this, lifts my heart and being every time I hear it , and makes me think of youth and running through fields of corn on summer days in the late 60s and 70s.

How is it possible to play that without the sheet music?

They've played Strauss' Metamorphosen by heart, and it's a great video recording... (also without shoes, lol)

When will the Chinese orchestra show some diversity by having a Norwegian soloist, now that would be real diversity!
