Good advice! The hardest trills for me are always those, which are to do with 35 or 34 or 45 while playing a chord with 12. For example bars 30 and 32 and equivalents in Beethoven's Moonlight sonata 3rd Mov. or at the beginning of variation #14 in Brahm's Händel Variations, but there are many more. Any advice on those ;-)?
These trills are very tricky! I have just looked up the part in Beethoven’s Moonlight - this is how I would play it: don’t hold the thumb on the key while you play the trill, just let go right after pushing it down and play a very small trill (3notes + 2 ending notes, which are written in the scores). Also, if your hand is big enough, I would try to start the first trill with the 3rd finger, so: 13-5-3-2-3-15, and the 2nd trill like:14-5-3-2-3-15. If your hand is not big enough to play this, I would recommend to not play the octave when the trill starts. In the end I would never recommend to play a trill with 45 as this fingering is too weak to give you the full control. I think I will do another video to explain the fingerings you can use for trills:) Hope I could already answer your question a little bit:)
