John! I really like this "split hand" drill! Over the past month, I have been using it! In watching your video you have broadened its relevance. I also have started to place more emphasis on the role of the right arm in the backswing and downswing. Now, if I could just hit the ball like you! Good Job John! Keep up the good work!!!
Great interpretation of the hitting area, I certainly understand it better. Strange game, I’ve been a low handicap for 30 years, never really knew how to swing the club.
Have you any drills to stop blocking shots to the right with the driver. Thank you ever so much for taking time to read my email. Very much appreciated. Kindest Regards. Stuart
@@stuartwalker7514 if a straight block, and strike is okay. We know the path is into out and the clubface is open to the target (matching the face) so we would just need to check the clubface. I would start by check the face in the tarkeaway then potentially wrists in the downswing is causing the face to be open! We could have a look online to check?
Definitely all clubs. There are only subtle changes with a driver swing, wider takeaway normally and head staying behind the ball at impact to help you hit more up!
Good drill!

Thanks John, it’s a real multi use drill 👍🏻

You must be doing something right then mate 👍🏻
Can you do this with any club. Plus can you hit balls with this drill. Learning to release the club. Really enjoyed the video. Thank You
Yes any club is fine, more tilt needed with an iron over a driver due to the ball being on the ground. You could hit balls at a slow pace for sure

@@TruGolfAcademy Thank you so much for taking time to read my email . Once again thank you
Tried it and it Stops me getting across the line at the top which is something I've been working on 👍
Does this apply to driver or only irons?
