They could literally make it a dlc and they refuse to for zero reason other than forcing japanese people to buy physical packs from multiple stores, and people online could get in the way of that by selling fair deals to the otakus
This also makes upgrading speed and ring limits easier. The koko blend in to the environment, but with this DLC, they stand out, making collecting them easier.

Having just beaten the game, I'm shocked at how little cosmetics like this were in there, reserved only for a few pre-order bonuses and the like. I thought for sure with all the collectables there'd be something like Colors Ultimate where you can customize Sonic more.
Not knocking anyone who is enjoying it, but the game itself looks like a Garry's Mod game or something, lol. The way Sonic moves is just... I don't know. Looks so cheap and not right. He has that shuffle thing going on where you tap the stick and his feet flutter wildly despite moving only a few inches. Gmod is probably a little too harsh. Like maybe a Unity fan game.
The game has its moments but it's such a mess of half-baked ideas. I finished it on hard and my god, who in the world thought that *THIS* final boss battle was a good idea for a Sonic game?
