Good morning everybody! Best day of the week. Awesome video
I enjoy this so much! Thank you Michael
Well done, blessings
As a European, I always love hearing the expression "reasonably priced records"!
That Madlib LP is better than I thought it would be, but probably not every jazz fan's cup of tea. However, the Robert Glasper LP (the other Classic Series release this month) is killer. It's Robert performing with the standard jazz trio and it's killer. Great recording, killer music, pressed really well....highly recommended.
..."did I mention is was killer?" 👽✌
The Madlib record is 20 years old and considered one of the great hiphop records of the 21st century. It doesn’t need any validation from jazz-heads or audiophile snobs. Fantastic release 20 years ago and a fantastic one now.
I have that Streisand Record. It's really good. A very young Streisand sounding amazing. Her exchange with the audience is a lot of fun. It will make you smile. A great record. Don't pass it up.
Wish your shop was here in the UK you always have great records/pressings in stock
You can put the Mofi digital Miles into your list of the top 100 Digital records to own.😮
Good one. That’s pretty much just a top 100 MoFi records to own.
🙄🤦♂️
Aww boohoo. Cry more.
Lol I ain’t buying it. Sold mine before the news even broke. I’m done with MoFi now
Being that Barbara Streisand has always been an audio file perfectionist,. It should be an excellent sounding record. Regardless of what you think of her, she really cares about sound quality.
Yay, Elastic Rock (1970) by Nucleus on Vertigo, one of the seminal albums in jazz rock fusion. I stupidly sold my original. With English session guitar legend, Chris Spedding, and horn player Ian Carr, a published author and expert on the work of Miles Davis.
My wife and I watched the Saturday Night Fever movie recently. That movie is very strange, much darker than you’d expect! The 70s were a very weird decade 😂
Barbra Streisand's career was heading south fast, but was rescued when she covered Laura Nyro's Stoney End in 1971 for a No.6 Billboard hit, with LP of the same title. The 3 singles were all Nyro covers. Babs never looked back.
Im a metal guy and i love the "Saturday night fever" soundtrack! 😅😊😅
Nice work! It called SAULT- 11😉✌🏼
I asked Jason from Rhino, the new Little Feat are all analogue. Not sure about the bonus, but you are probably correct on that Mike.
Get that Miles Davis Blackhawk Impex folks!
In a Hoffman thread, Jason from Rhino said that LP1 of both Sailin Shoes and Dixie Chicken were AAA.
Bonus material was digitally sourced.
The Streisand sounds really good. Impex always seems to do a good job
My copy of 12 by Ryuichi Sakamoto arrives tomorrow.
Mike, you mention that the Mofi Super Vinyl of Seven Steps was 33.33 RPM. Did you misspeak or is there indeed an upcoming 33.33 pressing?
Kevin Gray's Old Parts - put that on a hype sticker
Yet to say King gizzard & The Lizard wizard correctly once in years and it's hilarious
I wish you had the James Brown 20 greatest hit LP
Craft Records May reissue the Rollins titles in the box set individually next year. That’s what they are doing with the Ornette Colman box set. They also reissued individually reissued the titles in the Chet Baker box set a couple years ago.
Here's a fun fact about Barbara Streisand. Early in her career she was the opening act for Liberace.
You are correct. Rock Me Baby was Henry Casey's first hit and it went to #1.
God, I already didn’t like her. For me, she and Joy Behar are indistinguishable human beings. It could take a DNA test at times to know for sure.
Madlib’s Shades of Blue is mastered by Kevin Gray. I know this because it says so on the huge hype sticker in the bottom right corner.
Anyone know how vinyl is trending lately? Did it peak or is it still climbing? I was just thinking this morning how I don't need an Aerosmith vinyl
Can you unbox and review the Mingus?
The vinyl manufacturing industry continues to squeeze every drop of water out of the Jazz reissue campaign😂😂😂😂
Those Aerosmith records would be a repress..they were cut by RKS and pressed at RTI back in 2013/14,etc
but, uh, yeah.
I would buy all my music from you if you had a cheaper shipping rate to Canada
C'mon Barbara Streisand hahaha!
Whats a super vinyl?
More expensive.
super expensive
Supervinyl very quiet but good quality virgin vinyl is quiet also. Some vinyl sounds like sand was added!!! Quiex supervinyl David Crosby if only I could remember my name released by classic records sounds really good. Analogue productions uhqr vinyl sounds fantastic.
A CD
MOFI = SUPER VINYL + SUPER DSD
Good one 🥴
The only reason the Miles Davis seems to sound good is because the best reissue companies haven’t done them yet. Mofi 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
🥴🥴…you really thought you did something here.
