They use linguistic acrobats to claim this. But the Bible uses the word nails in his hands", not "nail in his hands". Nails are plural, not singular. Every time I point that out to a JW, they get very angry.
It's a pretty good way to drive home the point that all other denominations are false to your congregation, any time a JW sees a cross on a church they'll be reminded that it's false and they are part of the select few.

Original Greek was Stauros( stake ) , the Roman emperor Constantine had a vision of the cross and then a dream where Jesus “appeared” to him and told him to use the Cross (chi Rho ) in battle to conquer his enemies. Jesus would never have done such a thing this is the one who said in gethsemane “return your swords to where they were, those who live by the sword will perish by it “ . It's a mistranslation of the greek word for cross that sounds and is spelled similarly to stake in the language. Despite being told this, over and over again, they still remain stubborn on this matter, as they do with God's name Hebrew; His name is spelled in Hebrew as Yahweh (Hebrew and classical Greek don't have a J sound) or sometimes Elohim as His appellation.

I agree with you but many have been indoctrinated from childhood, like I was. They literally refer to the organization as "the truth". A child will hear that terminology thousands of times before their 5th birthday. Also their governing body isn't "selling" their followers doctrine, they're selling them a very warm and welcoming community, well, as long as they play by the rules of course. I won't lie, these fluidity of the animation is nearly as good as a Ralph Bakshi film.
It's known as "Rotoscoping". Basically they filmed this with live actors and then traced over it which is why it looks so realistic.

You have the right idea, but you're using an odd Bible translation. The only bible to trust in the English language is the original King James Version, not the New King James either.

@@jamesmartin4857I think he/she wrote these Bible verses to disapprove the beliefs Jehovah witness religion. The Bible of the Jehovah witness is worded wayyyyy differently than the common King James Version that us Christians use. I know this because my grandmother is a Jehovah witness.

I had a babysitter/Spanish tutor who is a Jehovah's Witness! :D She told me that Jesus is an angel but I didn't know that Jehovah's Witnesses referred to Jesus as Micheal until I've read the books that my aunt's Jehovah's Witnesses friends gave me to read! :D However as a Catholic Christian I don't know what to make of these beliefs even to this day for I believe that Jesus and Micheal are separate beings! :D I don't know what's more disturbing the Jehovah's Witnesses' cartoon or the Mormon's Cartoon! :P >:O

The Jehovah's witnesses pestered me for a while because I was friendly to them, I am a Christian and I'm happy to read their watchtower books just out of interest. I'm a complete bible geek and pride myself on really knowing an awful about the bible, I'm also an amateur historian that has studied for years the history of the early church, the entire region, the schism, the splits, the wars ect. I'm also not a fundamentalist as I dont take everything in the bible as recorded history. After a while the actually started to become a bit aggressive in their approach, to the point that they would show up when they knew I was at work and harass my girlfriend, so enough was enough and I marched down the the Kingdom hall on night and I explained to the man who seemed to be in charge that you are hunting the wrong bear here......for if I was to join your congregation, within weeks I would have convinced everyone to leave because I will pick holes in virtually every you teach. You do not want someone like me in your church 🙂

And as someone who's been Baptist all my life, while I do respect others' beliefs, I unfortunately have a very hard time doing so with the JWs, based on various accounts I've read about what growing up in that lifestyle is like, and their interpretation of the Bible is just contradictory and nonsensical to me, and well, the documentary "Inside Scientology And Escaping The Witnesses" explains it better than I can.

Also preaching is pretty much mandatory as far as I can tell it isn't for Mormons, also growing up with no holidays really makes you feel like a weirdo in situations with other people.

I think you misunderstood the statement.
Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t believe in Hell, they believe that the nonbelievers will be destroyed. While they believe only 144,000 people will go to Heaven, they believe that the rest of the believers will remain on Earth(which would become a paradise) without aging or dying.
There is no hell in the JW belief.
The 144,000 with RULE, WITH Jesus, over the earth, over the other obedient people in the world, if only 144,000 would make it, who would they rule over??

Growing up, Jehovah Witness didn't know a lot of these teaching, but my dad did let me celebrate Christmas (irony how a lot of people don't now)
Honestly, the fear mongering and misinformation is what I extremely dislike about their belief, but you start to realize it's a common thing with a lot of groups
