  • DMX control of lasers? Not possible... well it has been for a while but never to this extent.... meet the intelligent laser mainboard ShowNET!
    We had 11 Laserworld DS-1000RGB lasers for this video alongside 2 of the Laserworld DS-3000RGB lasers for this video so we thought we'd go a little mad and show you what can be done with some simple DMXing inside the studio.

    WHAT brand/Model of 'DMX controller' + WHAT 'DMX Software' was the PROGRAMMER using (besides ShowNet) ? This is an INCREDIBLE demonstration VIDEO ! Thank You ! (Also, can I do the spectrum color sweeping using DMX , with my CS-1000's + CS-2000's ?)

      That was done with an Avolites lighting desk
      You are definitely able to do analog color modulation with your CS-2000RGB, with the CS-1000RGB only if it's the latest version - but it's only partly analog. However, to be able to use the full features as shown in this video you need a ShowNET interface with the laser - the built-in DMX is by far not as advanced as the one in the ShowNET laser mainboard. So smooth color transitions may not be available with the built-in standard DMX of the Club Series.

    Hi there. Do you need an interface per laser or do you just need one laser to have one built in or one external? Thanks

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  Рік тому +1

      As most lasers have the interface built-in (DS Series and up), you don't have to worry. Each laser needs to get some sort of control sigbal. So with built-in ShowNET that is super easy. If youvuse an external ShowNET interface, you could technically daisy chain the ILDA signal that comes out of the interface box through several lasers. However, they would all do the same thing then.
      So best option is to get some units with built-in ShowNET and you just use them as intelligent lighting fixtures - like your moving lights.

    Hello, would it be possible to create a program similar to that of your video with the cs-1000 model? or better the ds-1000? I don't know which one to buy. thank you

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  2 роки тому +1

      These are basically DS units in the video, so with the normal Diode Series lasers, which have the ShowNET laser mainboard, you are able to do exactkly that - as it is shown with these units :-)
      It is also possible to DMX control teh CS units, however, it's much more limited in what you can do. But for basic applications that works as well (just no ArtNET and other fancy features the DS have)

    Hello, I am new to the laser world... I am thinking of buying laser from EL series... Is it possible to control it using ENTTEC usb interface and QLC+ program? Because that's what we using for lights.
    Great demonstration by the way!

      Well, the Ecoline Series is very very basic. What is shown in this video refers to the Diode Series and higher, these have the professional ShowNET laser mainboard.
      The Ecoline Series devices (except of the El-60G) can be controlled with standard DMX, no matter which interface you use or which controller. DMX is a standardized trigger protocol.
      Pretty much all lasers of Laserworld, tarm and RTI can be controlled via DMX, but there are huge differences in terms of what you can do. All lasers with ShowNET mainboard have the same DMX profiles and they also support ArtNET. They are intended for professional use. Lower series, like EL or CS, also have basic DMX functionality, but depending on the design they are limited in possibilities. They work fine for parties, entertainers and clubs, that's what they were designed for, but if you think of more professional applications, we recommend going for DS and higher. With these you have much more compatibility as well: www.laserworld.com/en/shownet-compatible.html

    Hi, can i do similar programming with the EL-400RGB MK2 or the EL-230RGB MKII ?
    Thanks

      There is quite a gap between basic systems and more professional systems. The lasers in this video have a built-in ShowNET intelligent laser mainboard with a great variety of features. This is not comparable to entry-level systems. The Laserworld EL-230 MK2 and EL-400RGB MK2 are great lasers for parties and smaller clubs, but if it comes to more professional productions, we recommend checking out the Laserworld DS-1000RGB MK4 or higher

    Hi, do I need LAN connection to be able to control these via DMX + Avo Titan Mobile?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  10 місяців тому

      If you want to control the lasers via Artnet, then you need LAN. If you want to use standard DMX, just connect DMX. You have both options, just depending on your requirements.

    Can you control two units without the need for computers and software? I have two green beamed units for home use and I don’t really want to use computers to control FX and miss out on the fun I’m hosting…

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  Рік тому

      Yes you can do that - if you use ShowNET interfaces, could be external or internal, you have extensive control options with your DMX console. You can even create a safe area and specify the projection zone just with DMX and store it to the ShowNET mainboard.
      Only important part is that you need a ShowNET laser mainboard or an external interface for this.
