can i use the show editor program with ilda connection?and the connection with the pc to use the internal show net ,is simply a lan cable?
You can use the Showeditor Program with any ShowNET interface - external or internal. An external interface allows for using ILDA cables and connection to any ILDA capable laser. However, the internal ShowNET mainboards do not output an ILDA signal to the external connectors, it is just used internally.
You simply connect the ShowNET mainboard (no matter if internal or external) to your computer with LAN cable. You can connect several ShowNETs using normal network switches. You can learn more about the ShowNET connectivity here: www.laserworld.com/en/laser-online-user-manual/shownet-dip-switch-panel.html

Can you provide a link to the API needed to interface with a mac running touchdesigner and a DS1000 mk4 please.
You don't need anything - it is already implemented in Touchdesigner. Just connect via LAN and go! Remember to use the latest Touchdesigner version.
Is there any difference to the models of MK 3 ?
The MK4s simply have a further optimized design inside and small improvements in the optics section. Basically, no changes are visible externally, all internal optimizations.
if i run the mk4 along side a mk3 will there be a noticeable difference in the visual output of the laser? different colour tones ect? cheers
Not in the color tones, no. The beam profile is slightly better on the MK4, but that only matters over longer distances. In general you would probably not find a noticeable difference at all. The improvements are on the constructive side internally.
hi.can you tell me what is the little metal plate on the right side of the laser,as we look the front of the device near the printed laserworld logo?thanks
These plates are covers for accessing the dichroic mirrors for doing color convergence alignment, if required.
nice introduction i`ve already got one of these. The lasers are high quality and Shownet is a good thing for beginners but also for
professionals never regret to buy the Diode-Series Lasers.
