I work in an office nearby and often see inbound traffic on that approach. It's fun to see what's going on in the cockpit. I really appreciate the clean video editing, great audio, and bling free production.
These videos are great and one of the things I like the most it's a split screen on landing so we can see the runway but we also see what's going on in the cockpit I think most pilots love that. Great video
That was cool guys. I bet you have got over 100 landings at Scottsdale I learn to fly at phoenix sky harbor back in 1987. But Scottsdale is my homebase for a long time another airport I love going to a Sedona if you’ve never flown into Sedona, you’ve got to do that. It’s only about 90 miles north of Scottsdale. Google it if you’ve never been to donuts with the most beautiful places on this earth. The one thing I noticed about you guys is fine is everything is happening so much faster. That’s the one thing that’s the one difference to me that didn’t seem overly busy or anything it’s just the speed that jet was coming in at was amazing.
Nice video Kris…Mountains look amazing and the approach was a busy one for sure , but as always handled it like the pro you are..co pilot was very helpful in that approach and you seemed very comfortable with him..take care Kris and say hi to Kim…🙏👋🤛
great flight. i don't know what hand signals the marshaller ended with there but he definitely needs training on the official marshallers signals to bring an aircraft to a stop.
That was a awesome flight, our company airplanes fly into Scotsdale all the time and so was nice to see a great landing and when you turned off the runway I am pretty sure I saw one of our airplanes out the window. Happy New Year and look forward to more videos in the future
Learned to fly out of Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona. Landed at Scottsdale probably hundreds of times. Love that airport. Approach into runway 21 is always fun.
Tell Kim we miss her and looking forward to updates. Think I heard someone she was getting or has her instrument ratings. She will be piloting right seat b4 we know it.
Thank you for sharing this amazing video. You are a very talented pilot and you always stay ahead and “cool.” Best wishes and time for Ms. Kim to show up.
Really nice tight traffic pattern, that got exciting! My admittedly very amateur piloting skills in MSFS would not have been sufficient haha. Really cool to see it handled so well.
Just FYI if you fly into KSDL again their is a flight school there called Sierra Charlie Aviation and all their 172’s are call signed Sierra Charlie and they also have a 1SC.. I know because I took my first lesson in it.. I have always chuckled hearing your radio traffic in your videos with 1 Sierra Charlie as your tail..
Beautiful shots, Kris! Looked like fun coming in there - lots going on! I haven't been in that area in 22 years. Looks about the same. Too many people for me, lol. Thanks for sharing!
I feel better now that you said Holy Crap. That's how I felt the whole time I watched. Everything happens RFN in that missile you are flying lol the landing was badass :)
One question, in the airlines it is cheaper to use the brakes than reverse thrust, is it not the case for you guys? Carbon brakes on the a320 wear relative to applications and not force, but engines wear due to hot section and debris plus extra fuel usage.
Great video as always buddy ! If you ever need someone in a pinch, you have my cell, would love to use that multi engine i got in July....lol. Happy New Year !
Super video as always Kriss! I am just amazed how KRUSTY the avionics are in that jet. The stuff kinda looks military vintage. Excellent landing! Do you use brakes during roll out or let the reversers do the hard work? I can't wait til next year to see Kims flying progress!
I flew in there in early December. One of the worst towered airports I have ever flown into. Controller cleared me to land when I was at pattern altitude over the numbers as I was directed. Had to go around. Then on departure had me wait for the 4 planes behind me before I was able to take off. 30 minutes on the ramp.
Been flying for years but start posting about a year ago. You got some catching up to do. 😂 Also need to check out the series on Kim learning to fly. More importantly, why haven’t you been watching the channel? 😢
As Always Thank you for an excellent video. I am a non-pilot so forgive the ignorant question. When you were transitioning from downwind/base/final it looked like you had a bit of a bank angle going. Do you take into account stall speed with the landing approach speed combined with the bank angle? Thanks
I assume you know about the window hinge support crack (could just be internal only) at the 18 second mark? Just checking.. (Previous comment probably blocked due to url paste of timestamp.)
These last two Lear 60 videos seem extremely fast paced. I can't tell if it's due to a busy airplane, a fast airplane, and/or you are editing out gaps in the action. Any which way, it's fun! 😀
Hey BP. Kind of you to make and post a video on this "family & friends season. Do you think u could give me a tip on the "normal " avg crz. speed on a Fl 360/400 flight? And yes its all about me. And now with Kim’s starting her adventure, this has me looking forward to seeing her moving forward through all the different stages. I’m not so much about TV anyway, as you’re flying is something special as seeing, learning, your AC upgrade, and Dash. Speaking of dash did you see the new dash on Stevie Triesenberg C35 Bonanza wow nicely designed. Happy New Year 🎆

Kris, its comforting to know that Kim can now get to you if absolutlely needed if anything ever were to happen while you were out of town.. She could fly the baron if absolutly needed and wouldnt have to wait hours to get to you by commercial flight or car.. just knowing she CAN makes me feel better
Way too low on the visual glidepath indicators to be considered a stabilized approach. Also pretty sure it's a LR-60 limitation to have the T/R's stowed at 60 kts but that's the joy of posting flying videos on the internet...
A 3 degree glide slope at 140 it’s is a 743FPM decent rate. You may want to go back and look at my decent rate. Also the TR’s are controlled by FADEC and therefore don’t have a speed limitation. But you are correct, that is the joy of posting flying videos on the internet 😂 Thanks for watching.
Boycott KSDL! The city was partner in evicting 100 single engine and light twin aircraft. We have no alternative aircraft parking available! All the shade tie downs and tee hangars were torn down to make room for more jets!
That sucks, is there a published report on that, I and mine can read? If verified, our club are canceling our planned 2023 fly-in if no parking for props. Where IS parking now, besides KSDL?
@@davidwemyss7303 There is no report per se. It appears in city council meeting minutes. I too moved near KSDL to be near our airplane and I love the sound and sight of airplane activity! That is what is so sad what happened. Kicking out single and light twins to make room of Net-jets et al.
What happened to the Baron? Less content there? Is the a/c ready to go? And Kim? Long time not seeing her? Just curious and asking. To me the Beech stuff is more interesting then the Lear stuff.
