Mine will be here tomorrow. Found one for 400€ with a G12 Creamback (original speaker and foot switch included). It just has some scars due to remove the backplate to swap the speakers, but that's only cosmetics that I even won't see when playing since it's on the back. Can't wait to play on it 😁😁😁 my Vox is gonna be jealous I think 😅
Great demo! I picked up the amp and have been enjoying it, so far. I changed the speaker to a Celestion NEO Creamback which makes the amp lighter and I like the sound better all-around. I also keep the noise gate engaged at half but also have a Boss NS2 on the board going through the FX loop - totally silent. Keep rockin'
@@MadSteex I didn’t hate it but it’s not as defined to my ears. Very happy with my choice. Even James Brown acknowledged that to hit the overall amp price, it couldn’t be the best.
When the boost is engaged, there is an 8dB gain increase to the input stages. So, with the Boost Volume knob full counter clockwise the Boost function is only a fixed front end boost. The gate works better when the instrument is a few meters away from the amplifier. Some of that feedback I could hear sounded like output transformer radiation to your pickups. That is that high frequency squeal that comes in, without the attenuator the volume would be hard to control in that proximity as well.
I have 100 watt katana mk2 a pod go with a 12 inch headrush and I'd rather have that 2 channel amp lol. I find myself fiddling switches instead of just playing guitar . I'll I really need is clean and heavy lol
This is precisely why I prefer 65 reissue fender amps. The mid is set to the perfect range for any genre so all you have to do is mess with volume, bass and treble. Makes you a far better guitarist when you can focus on playing instead of tone
Yes is a reallygood tube amplifier, for bedroom volume I think you still need a loadbox cuase the 1/4 attenuation is not enough for really low volume. it helps, but 10W are really loud if you want to use high gain saturation
Great video as always and it helps me in my decision making (should I consider buying it or rather not). One question: You put an attenuator between the amp output and the speaker of the amp, right? I'd like to use the 15w version in the apartment but even 1/4 is still loud in the evening... Greets from Germany!
Different voicing, but in terms of versatility I think the 5150 wins..better range of watts 40W and 10W with attenuation, and better knob controls with also high gain mode
I wouldn’t buy that amp because of the noise which is a common problem with Fender tube combo’s. I bought a used 5150 iii lbx stealth about 6 months ago and absolutely no issues or noise and I don’t own a noise suppressor
I had one and had to send it back for a cracked pcb tube board..they put a new board in it and it still sounded ok..I did sell it though and just ordered one of these today.

Great! The speaker you have to love or hate, I think it sounds like an old style 5150, for modern sound is better a different speaker.

@@Smart-Alex I also liked the amp! It’s much more and hard rock voiced amp instead of a metal amp
@@MadSteex yeah, like the man himself, cheers…
This is one of the best, if not the best, demos I’ve seen on this amp.
Thanks 🙏 😊
MONSTER amp at this price point, and CRAZY versatile.

I'v also noticed the gate works better with the Burn engaged.
Reminds me of the Marshall 40DSL, a Harsh Amp full of Power
😂 The Marshall DSL40 COMBO that i have is smooth and creamy compared to this amp. 😋
Move the guitar further away from the amplifier to reduce the noise 👌 nice video thank you
I know but then how can I achieve the knobs ? 😂
EXTRA CRISPY., FINGER PICKIN' GOOD !!!
I have this amp and the noise gate works fine. I would get it in and fixed under warranty.
Bella prova, molto dettagliata e molto utile per un prossimo acquisto, grazie!👍👍

Play with only those two sounds for 20 years and youll become a pedal addict like me
a pod is not the best for the katana
Same here! I sold my Katana cause I was only turning knobs instead of playing...
That's all I have ever needed !

Thank you for actually showing the 1/4 power feature! Excellent review 🙏
Thank you George! sub for more.
Great, thorough demo!!
Thank you Alexander!
Do you recommend this equipment for use in a bedroom at home, what is your opinion, is it a good equipment?

Greets from Germany!
Yes that’s the reason why, I wanted to use all the power with external attenuator which can attenuate even more
@@MadSteex Thanks for the quick reply!
@@lepenseur8191 No problem :)
I’m debating the EVH iconic VS Marshall DSL40. I play mainly classic rock and Metallica. I have a couple ESP and 50’s fender strat.
Which you get
Good job brother! I have the same amp I love it!
a footswitch with channel and voice like blackstar do would of been very useful, switches on the amp are not useful playing live.
If you want you can control it via footswitch of course.
This or the Orange Rocker 32 all tube stereo amp? What do you think?
Different voicing, but in terms of versatility I think the 5150 wins..better range of watts 40W and 10W with attenuation, and better knob controls with also high gain mode
Can i change between gain and clean on the pedal?
Of course, change channel e the burn
What’s this like on low volume.
Great, it has the attenuation volume
This reverb is terrible... is it the same in 2x12 60w?
It’s a spring
@@MadSteex😂 It's not spring reverb loaded, it's a digital reverb and it's the exact same on all of the Iconic amps.
@@AuntAlnico4it’s a spring type of reverb.
Great playing. You sitting to close to it. You got that other shit hooked up to the back of the amp.

They should have put the interface on the front of the amp instead of the top.
That poor Gibson just can't keep up on the high gain.
😂
Dude! I liked your review and I might end up getting this amp, but FFS!, your links are annoying and I don't speak Italian!
Which link are you referring to?
Just get a invective mh sounds about the same
Let me guess you play an invective mh? People always suggest their own geal lol
can i play with a band with such small amp? last mh i had was useless
I had one and had to send it back for a cracked pcb tube board..they put a new board in it and it still sounded ok..I did sell it though and just ordered one of these today.
Hybrid amp
What kind of pickups do you have on that LP?
Alnico 5
