Richard's versatility always amazes me.
Definitely the best review I’ve seen on this amp. Straightforward and informative. Thank you for this!
Richard's playing is always a treat! Thank you!
wow this may be the best demo of the amp I've seen.
Well played, presented and explained
Mighty fine demo. I'm sure I will view this more than once
Woah! Killer demo :)
Great demo…your playing is superb!
Probably the BEST Demo I’ve seen on this amp. I think a Creamback could add even more warmth. Great job friend💯
Also- thank you for NOT using an sm57! That mic is perfect
I wonder how this would stack up against something like my Peavey 5150 combo.
I could see this amp being extremely useful for small gigs and home studios.
I owned the original 40w combo and it was a killer. Not too heavy, great clean, incredible amounts of distortion and punch (as expected from a 5150). Sadly it was a lemon and I've since upgraded to an OG Peavey 5150 and an Orange Rockerverb, but honestly I'm not against picking up this little 15w combo for small jams and apartment playing.
Awesome Demo, You were ripping some excellent Eddie vibes!
Ooooooooffffffffttttttttt!!! I love Richard's playing. That Haynes too sounds lovely.
Good playin' !
For an $800 tube amp, with lots of features and available adjustments, I'm reasonably impressed.
Same.
You can find it for $650 now!
@@nycyabber7103 or 400 pre-owned
I bought one for 500 a few months ago used. I use it for practice and it sounds good to me.
Great review. Great playing too.
Your end track sounded like Ghost 👌
Awesome review we’re you plugged straight into the amp? Any pedals ?
Great demo! Glad you liked the amp✌️
Getting mine this week
@@reptalien_musicdo you like it?
Great playing it’s my kind of style
great demo. On the clean setting at lower bedroom levels, do you hear a lot of hiss? Or is it pretty quiet? I realize all tube amps have noise, but some more than others. Since I will not be gigging with this, curious what the noise floor is on the clean setting.
I got one. No hiss on clean setting. Hiss on red channel, but I do not mind it. It's a cool little amp for condo or apt playing.
I’m and axe fx guy and no matter what I do I always end up with the 5153 models. They are the best amps…simple . This sounds fantastic.
Exactly my case. I'm selling my fm3 to get this combo.
not sure I’d ever go back to an actual amp…. Unless I didn’t ever record
@@Harrysound well I tried the FRFR way and I was never happy with the sound and funky feedback. Instead of hauling a heavy frfr around I prefer to take a small combo for personal monitoring and to get a livelier guitarsound / feedback. My go to amp is a small hybrid Kustom contender with eminence alpha 8a in it. We use in ears, I get the cabsim from the mixer, so that combo don't need to be miced.
I don't really record though.
How do they get 15w out of a single 6L6 in class A?
Thanks for the Video I have one in white and oh man no need for any overdrive or distortion pedals, just waiting for them to make a cover for it!!!
Are you satisfied with it ?
Oh yea love it only complaint is the pedal that comes with it not as good as the 40 watt version pedal.
@@fredb.8383 Love it well worth it blew my Blackstar 5 watt tube
amp away!
I need this amp. Badly.
nice : )
Honestly, I would have rather seen this come out as a head unit. It has an advantage over the LBX line because it has two speaker output jacks and a 6l6 power tube instead of 2 EL84s, not to mention it’s less expensive.
BLOODY HELL!
Is this amp too loud for the house or bedroom studio?
Nah. I got one. Plus, you got a swtich to lower the wattage.
@@dane4453how do you like it? Considering it as my first valver moving from a Catalyst modelling amp
@@lionelhutz3170 I like it a lot. Use it quite a bit for playing at home. I know some people do not like the fact that it is has some solid state parts but it still has tube part as well. And I think it sounds good. Plus, I got it for a little under 500 dollars.. Cannot beat that.
@@lionelhutz3170 But, it has some solid state parts. If you want your first valver to be all valve, this amp is not. I think in place of one preamp tube they put a solid state transistor to save money and be able to sell it at the price they are at.
Don't no why they use a 10inch. I have a blackstar 5 watt but still has a 12 inch
Wonder if this has a noise gate ?
Noisegate is built in and tied to the gain.
Roland cube 30🍷😁
The noise gate don't really work that well
The sound...it shits all over the Marshall SC20c.
\m/
"Insane amounts of gain" 🤔
Dear guitar amp makers: Skip the 1x10 thing, go to the 1x12 directly, please. In a lot of cases, it´s the diference between purchasing or not
The market is no longer for guitarists in bands/making music with others it’s much more about selling to people who have a nice ‘man cave’ full of gear. A 1x10 is fine for entertaining the cat.
Tragically accurate@@philipellis7039
Billy Gibbons plays 8's on his guitars
Most players use 10's
SRV played 12's
Would a1×8 speaker and adding a switchable preamp tube section, to use separately or combined with the solid state hybrid
Not to forget an
Attenuator for that brown sound,
be too advantageous?
@@dboblues8778most players use 12s nowadays? I do use a 410 but only for cleans, 12s are the norm for 5150 users
Tens sound better than 12s
Great sounding amp and great demo… kinda pitiful the amp is so ugly and cheap looking… it basically looks like someone stuck a 5150 logo on a katana 😳
If you listen with your eyes you’re not very music savvy to begin with so it doesn’t matter
idk my white one is pretty sexy 😁
Projecting? It's a fun and cool amp.
The white one is i think quite pretty and unique looking
And I love it
Got a feeling Rich could play any old shit amp/guitar and it would sound mazin
