▬ About MDT ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
MDT was born out of a single purpose: to provide better value and better accuracy for precision rifles. The first MDT chassis was developed from the ground up based on the needs of shooters.
Our engineers verified every function and feature based on the input from competitive shooters. The end result was a game-changing product called the TAC21 that continues to perform at the range, in the field and in competitions around the world.
Today, MDT chassis, magazines and accessories are still developed the same way.
We collaborate, question and verify our concepts with precision shooters from around the globe to ensure that every MDT product is designed with the same single purpose: to provide our customers with the absolute best product possible.
Great info! Gotta love that last little comment at the end!! LOL

Great content as usual from the MDT guys. Best part of these videos is you guys are involved in hunting and PRS to prove out your teaching.
Thank you! We want to make sure that we are also involved. That way we can produce products even better and bring you the best out there.
I can agree with all but one of these. The saying that "you should spend at least same money on your scope that you did on your rifle" is outdated by like 10 years by now. That might have been the case at some point, but these days you can get all the features you NEED from scopes well under 1000$. I'm not saying that more expensive scopes aren't better. I'm saying that to start your precision shooting journey you don't need to get 2000$ or more expensive scope😁 you just need first focal plane, some sort of Christmas tree reticle and a zero stop on scope from reputable company like vortex or arken and you're good to go 👍
@@sakusalo-tuisku4305 absolutely
Loved this content! Liked, subscribed, and shared it with some family members. Loved the common sense approach and not a salesman approach 👍
Thank you! Glad you liked it an d we will make sure to keep it coming
I “kinda” agree with you on the scope, kinda. I have a 2600$ Leupold and a few $500 Arken scopes and the Arken scope is right there with the Leupold, only area where I have found the Leupold to be “slightly” better is in low light conditions for hunting, which legal hunting time is typically 30 minutes after sunset. IMO is it worth spending $1,100 more dollars for a scope that performs almost the same “IMO and through my experience”. I had no issue taking a whitetail at 850yards with my Arken on my 7prc and great scope tracking taking shots out to 1500 yards, zero issues. Believe this might be a thing of the past with all the technology bc Arken seems to be making that statement false, IN MY OPINION and Experience.
FYI I love your guy’s product, got plenty of MDT stuff
Awesome! Love hearing that you are enjoying our products.
Ammo lot, best thing that you added, most people don't even pay attention then wonder why the gun is off
Thanks for the video. I recently just went to my first long range shooting class and the instructor (cool guys who were retired Green Beret snipers) were pretty critical of my scope height saying that it was going to cause me issues due to the height over bore. Mind you, the bottom of the objective lens is maybe a cm off the barrel. Long story short, I was the best shooter in the class and had the best groups of the day with no issues whatsoever from my standpoint for comfort or usability. Until I watched this video, now a few months after the class, I was still contemplating changing my setup because I’m an absolute novice and I figured I was maybe just lucky. To their credit, they weren’t trying to sell me anything and I could see one benefit from their standpoint as to how a lower profile weapon, even in small increments, could potentially be the difference between being spotted out in a real world, sniper scenario or not. Sorry for the long-winded comment, but I appreciate it, gents!
No problem! We appreciate the feedback
Great video guys ; right to the point with visual aids !
Thank you!
Nice share videos, super gun 👍 good job my friend ☑️💯😊
Thank you!
This is a GREAT video. We need more basics. How to shoot for the beginners. So much of this field is people who have been doing this for years telling the newbies that no one is as good as they are. I think we need to get a youtuber going who teaches a beginers level course.
And then take it the next level. The NRA match positions, the precision like you are doing, the Safari hunter big boys, the guy in the woods hunting Eastern vs. western hunter stances.
AND with that maybe we can get some new blood into shooting.
Good idea, we are trying to come out with more tips for beginners too.
First 😅
I appreciate the good content. Keep up the good work, guys!
Thank you! We will make sure to keep it coming.
I'm new but I'm a physics nerd and there are two things I've discussed at length with a competitive shooter friend about height over bore and zero distance that absolutely matter that nobody talks about... maybe I'll put them on my YT chan lol
Great tips and also have some MDT stuff
That last statement had me rolling.. but so true
😂
So, so, so much good learning here. Match Director here, there’s too much information for one single pass through this phenomenal video. Watch it a couple times over, shoot a match / contest or two and return to this video for reminders! Identify the rabbit holes in front of you and decide which rabbit holes to deliberately avoid and which ones are worth venturing down. For example: the debate about custom barrel upgrades while you’ve got 2 kids in diapers / daycare. Train and spend wisely! Work with what you’ve got and improve and grow accordingly by planning and setting goals. Make them bite sized and baby steps! You all will get there ! Enjoy the competition shooting game where you only have yourself to beat!
Peace Be The Journey!
👍
Thanks for sharing
You're welcome!
If I started over I would have: 1. Bought the alpha glass sooner. 2. Skipped the apps and gone straight to a kestrel. 3. Built on a custom action from the start and never messed with factory rifles.
👍
MDT oryx chassis 300 prc...boom
Tikka CTR dropped in a MDT of choice, scope of choice, bipod of choice, rear bag of choice, Hornady Match ammo. 1 MOA to 1000 yds all day long!

Buying a expensive rifle and expensive scope only to use cheap rings and ammo to sight it in.
I have a hard time keeping both eyes open. im a left handed shooter with right eye dominance... if i keep em both open, i cant see through the scope...
I would either change to a right handed rifle or getting something to cover your right eye to force your left to be dominate
@MDTTAC i can hit dimes at 100y with my non dominant eye... just sayin... :) im gonna be a squinter haha :)

``spread it over time it will make it easier to hide it from your wife`` LOL that is a pro tip no one tells beginner lol lol . i like it
😂 Thought you would like that
And upgrading to the oryx chassis, which is now Gen2, we see the QD flush cup at the rear buttstock is gone and I feel aggrieved that I don’t think I can use the QD sling.
How can I get a QD flush cup installed on the oryx rear buttstock and not sacrifice mlok bag rider.
This is our older part that we no longer produce. We just use the M-LOK version
@ And can it be retrofitted to the buttstock? I might have to paracord one on near the cheek comb.
Like able to drill a QD hole?
@@MDTTAC yes, is it possible to drill a hole for qd cup somewhere on the buttstock?
I guess you could however, it is plastic so it may not be every strong.
It's hard to spend the same amount of money on a scope that i spend on some of my rifles
Easier to hide from the wife 😂yall real af for that one
With the scopes that are coming out not now a days you absolutely DONT need to spend as much on a scope as you did on your rifle. I completely disagree with that
Don’t need to, but if you apply the same rule, think about how much more scope you’re getting these days when you do have a higher budget in mind.
@@CanadaGunTubebut that's my point you don't need to spend bigger money to get more scope anymore. The Scopes that are coming out now by Arkin DNT and discovery are making vortex leupold and other scope manufacturers to rethink the price market. Just because it's an expensive scope doesn't actually make it good.
@ Not wrong. Just know this is a public platform and all our wives can see these comments.
😂
He lost me at that as well. Overspending on a scope is dumb.
Woohoooo
Squinting crew for life
Knee pads will add points to every match!
I never used a kestrel or chronograph in all my years shooting and hunting. I know have both. You are not a long shooter without the proper equipment. The ammo box means nothing, every rifle is different.
As someone who has spent a lot of money in this discipline that is very elitist of you to say, when you are getting started a ballistic calculator that you can adjust real world dope at distance like ab quantum (idk if they offer it in the Hornady app) will teach you a lot about reading wind and not trusting what’s on the box in both bc and in velocity
@@jonnytaylor8215 everything you just said is ridiculously wrong. Tho box lies, the brandy app is the most accurate ballistics app in the world and to be able to learn how to read the wind is much simpler when you literally have a wind reader in your hand.
Hornady 4dof app.
Muzzle brakes definitely dont make a gun more enjoyable to shoot. Suppressors however do
Recoil reduction must be a myth huh..
@Mr.Killswitch there are no free lunches, I guess shooter concussion is a myth huh? Recoil has never made a gun unenjoyable to shoot for me, and Ive shot 50bmg, 338lm, 375 ruger, 300prc, my hunting rifle is a 300wm etc but the added concussion and noise from a muzzle brake definitely makes shooting more uncomfortable.
HaHa, for me, I just have to buy once and cry. No partner
Hunting in the rut is a joke.
Yeah, I don’t really agree with the claim you need to pay as much for your scope as your rifle. This was probably true 20-30 years ago but scopes are much better for the money today. You can pay me $2,000 and I’ll supply you with a paper towel roll for a scope and some rubber bands to strap it to your rifle. Price doesn’t guarantee quality.
I stopped watching after 36 seconds. I can't watch a video that's stuck in 1990's ideology.
Scope height doesnt matter IF your rifle is perfectly level when you shoot.
Explain.
He’s talking about how your rifle cant can be exaggerated more the higher your scope is mounted, it throws your windage off. While it’s true, once you consider all the other variables while shooting long range scope height doesn’t really matter
😆 makes it easier to hide from your wife
lol thought you would like that
Dude that comment in the last 5 sec are what it’s all about!!! 😂
😂 Good life advance
