    Subscribed, watched 'til the end. Supporting your channel. I too, have built a home in the Philippines, but it's a really "Tiny House" which is the first video of yours I watched, from your wife, I guess. Looks great 8 months ago, so I guess I'll keep poking around and watch a current video to see how you look.

    cement joints are stronger than mortar joints, but an unfinished bed or horizontal joint can decrease strength by up to 33 percent-fortunately the concrete finish plus the waterproofing will add strength and integrity-i was just alarmed at the lack of discipline in the laying and the lack of uniformity in joint thickness, all can cause issues as there is a lot of pressure on uneven joints

      The house is the typical construction method with strip footing and concrete columns…reinforced. These hollow blocks although inferior to western standards ..will just add rigidity to the structure. It’s not a problem… all the best.

    Your house is looking good but I as a fellow housebuilder am disappointed in the way I see the chb work. The skimcoat should be on naked concrete and not on painted surfaces. I am a bit more strict with my crew to get better results.But otherwise your build is splendid and has wonderful views.

      It was our fault why they skimcoated the painted walls. We wanna rush it so we told them just 1 coat of skimcoat then primer. It didn’t turn out good so they had to redo everything. Thanks for the comment

    I built a small house for my lady's family as an experiment and came in overall at 10,000 pesos psm, which is about where you are at -- nice job. Did I read correctly? This sits on 26,000 sq meters of land? If so... another coincidence since I'm closing on exactly 26,000 sq. meters for the main house (and some agriculture). If you don't mind sharing, what did you pay for the land?

    A few questions if you don’t mind. We’ve noticed with cement block houses that when it rains (monsoon)that the walls become very wet on the inside walls of the house to the point that it affects the plaster and paint. Do you by chance have a remedy to avoid that? Also which island are you on and province. We plan to build in 3-4 years. We are on Luzon, north on Manila about 4.5 hours, our province is Pangasinan.

    • @pierreandpamparfaitechanne5088
      @pierreandpamparfaitechanne5088  Рік тому +1

      As of now that’s why we are waterproofing the house. We are from Batangas province south of Luzon

      Yes! Never to much waterproofing! We’re using Boysen plexibond latex waterproofing! They mixed in with cement on the rooftop.

    It's nice to build a house. Anyone can come to USA and own half the country if they can afford it. Which is fine. At least, we should be able to own a few acres of land/homes/business without having to be financially vulnerable and susceptible to being scammed in holding assets in other people's names. I consider owning land/business via marriage/partnership a shady means. Too risky. USA's prerogative would be that our citizens in their country be treated as we treat theirs in ours. Their laws are such that they're looking out for themselves. That's fine. We aren't being looked after. We are just preys. The responsibility falls on the shoulder of our evil scu-mmm-bag lawmakers here in the USA for not making sure that Americans have reciprocity rights (minus political ambition) in other countries. They only look out for their club members/themselves. "We The People" is left exposed to society elements. If the citizens of all those countries where we can't own land/business outright (Philippines, Thailand, etc,) were to be treated the same way here (our prerogative), their laws would be different because it'd affect their economy. Everyone is susceptible to being "scammed" if we have to depend on someone else's good nature/intention. There's no recourse. I don't want to have to be married or have business partners via corporation. I don't wish to be a pet. My prerogative. I'd just want to own outright. No nonsense. Equal rights. I'm specifically talking about business/home/land ownership and the ability to build on such land as I see fit. Not condos. It's simply bull-shit! It's beyond unfair and ridi-cu-lous!

      If foreigners could own land their would be no Philippines…… I actually like the law protecting the Philippines people. To each their own. Appreciate the comment.
      You could always lease land here till you’re dead….. after that , no worries 😀

    • @VENEMPASTOR
      @VENEMPASTOR Рік тому

      @@pierreandpamparfaitechanne5088 Pierre, you missed the point. Who/what law is protecting foreigners??? Foreigners are being mistreated, extorted, threatened, attacked, accused of made up charges, scammed, manipulated, taken advantage of, not having rights nor representation, being expelled after investment and so on. No recourse. No fair play. Therefore, foreigners are nothing but pets.

      Just go to a lawyer and setup a 25 year lease on the land, she wont be able to make you homeless after that. 25 years is enough for most older folks because by the time it runs out they are already buried underground and all they have is going over to their wife and the kids. You can also setup a company to be able to hold at least a good percentage on the land and house, so she cant just throw you out with the police. Good lawyers can give you tips on how to make that more effective also.

      @@Jensn1337 I'll just rent and keep it moving.
      I'm not interested in marriage and I ain't having kids. So, why 'd I want to invest in buying land to build a house???
      I know I can't take it with me but why would I do that??? I'll spend my money on me doing things that makes me happy.😎
      I didn't earn it for free to be giving it away so stupidly.
      Who's going to inherit all of that expense???
      That makes no sense for me. And frankly, I don't know why men are obsessed with making themselves more valuable DEAD!!!
