Hi @Sirish, I have been following you and the evo team since many years... I have a taigun 1.0 and after watching this video I too want to drive in the Rann.. Is it open for other people to drive on the rann or you guys had special permissions?

What you folks have done is done mostly by Armies in peace and war time. Vehicular Warfare got perfected during WW2. British Special Air Service (SAS) and Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) used modified jeeps to take on Germans in North Africa.
Man! Killer camera work and editing. Some of the shots where so good that it looked like a film. Those guys need a raise. VW Skoda are the best cars, once you drive them, theres no going back. Loved this video.
In 2019, me and 3 other friends crossed the rann of Kutch in a Porsche Macan S like this during early week of May. That was a road trip through the West coast of India. We crossed the Rann of Kutch in 45 minutes or so..with no rally driving expertise with 4 people and their luggage on board..😅 This video brings a lot of those memories...❤❤

Amazing videography and editing. Kudos. It would be amazing to do the same track in different cars. What about XUV700 for this track, and taking the 24 hr challenge in Virtus GT? Now that would be amazing to watch.
You guys just rock. Any guesses if a premium SUV like Fortuner/Gloster/Alturas can break this. Of course not in the top speed run, but in the overall time by carrying a higher average speed. But with a boxy large SUV, those winds would be a huge factor.
It all comes down the driver, the back up crew, the planning. What you see on the screen is a very small part of it. It takes days of recce, hours spent on making pace notes. Multiple runs up and down the route to know it better.
Incredible as usual EVO India and with Sirish presence it hits differently. But you guys should not have disclosed the entry and exit villages, people will perform these stunts without any information and knowledge!
Plus it's also Sirish's rally skills that have helped him. Though you can always go for a guided tour of the Rann. It's an amazing experience to see the vastness of the Rann.

The Rann is free to visit, you can take your own car for a drive but we recommend going on a guided tour for the best experience.

As long as you look after the car well, no issues. Test drive both the variants. We haven’t yet driven the GT manual
