Would love to see a scryfall deep dive, I've enjoyed videos where folks show the brewing process - pick a commander and show how they search for synergistic cards, and spicy tech. I'd love to see your brew something!
I would love a Scryefall video. I recently started putting together a commander deck with the vintage border and its actually got a lot of options that Moxfield wont show within the search menu. Things like old frame vs new and modern frames, white border vs black, and artists. Im sure theres some options for full arts or alternate treatments too
Thank you for the excellent video! I also use Moxfield and you taught me so much in this one If you could do a video on Scryfall that would be amazing as well Stay safe
would love to see a scryfall video are there any big difference between moxfield and archidekt? i still look through both when browsing, just havent built much on moxfield. they seem extremely similar but ive just 'learned more of the menus' in archidekt so am hesitant to switch. (sry if commenting about pepsi on a video about coke is rude)
Lol @ the pepsi/coke comment 😂 Honestly I don't think I'm well versed enough in archidekt to articulate the differences. If you use it and like it, I think it's totally reasonable to keep using it. I just loooove moxfield so I'd suggest at least giving it a try :)
i've played magic off and on over the years. you say that you can upload your whole collection to moxfield, but what if you have like 30k cards? what would i wanna use to collect that data in order to transfer it there?
I used DelverLens for scanning and then just imported the data into Moxfield. Sadly, the scanning process isn't perfect (especially if there are multiple editions of a card with the same art, or if the card is extended alt art) and some cards might take a little bit of fidgeting to get correctly. To save time we decided to exclude lands and tokens from scanning process. We have 14039 scanned cards in our collections as per the latest scanning. Sadly, I can't calculate the total time because it was kinda done in chunks due to the move, but scanning the initial batch of around 6k cards took me 3-4 days. I was doing it alone, and it wasn't a 3 days marathon, I had breaks for food, sleep etc so it definitely can be done faster. There are other scanning apps as well, and from what I read they are around the same in terms of scanning quality so you can choose any of them if you decide to go with scanning. Oh, also, if your collection is very organized you could probably forego scanning and just use lists for sets in csv, import them into Moxfield (or archidekt is you prefer it) and then adjust the quantity accordingly.
Is it is possible to keep track of cards owned for a specific deck? Say I have multiple decks with the same card. I don't want it to track as owned until I have purchased it for that deck instead of owning one in my collection.
@@benjamingardner157 you can put cards in your collection into various "binders" which probably helps with this! But also your collection tracks exact printings of cards, so you could easily just switch the printing for the 2nd deck and it'd show as a gray checkmark (you own, but you own a different printing) instead of a blue one (you own this exact printing)
Glad to have found this video, at the very least for learning about being able to change the amount of a card I’m adding to a deck
I've made hundreds of decks on moxfield and that trick blew my mind for sure!
eye game on point

I’ve started using Packages to set up my usual modern mana bases, save me some time copying, uh, creating new decks
i see before me a great field of moxes
As a god among Mtg twitter I didn't know you had a UA-cam. Happy to be the 1000th subscriber, content looks great 👍
I, too, am a moxfield enjoyer.

I also really like the /image function for getting a full image of your deck
I'd love to see a Scryfall video!
I uploaded my entire collection to Moxfield, but it says I don't own any blue or red cards? Could this be a bug?
the tokens is one of my favorite features!

My phone tried to auto-correct “Moxfield” to “no girl” and that is UNACCEPTABLE erasure.
I love Moxfield, top-tier function and aesthetic.
First! Great video

You could scan one box at a time and then label which box its stored in. Super helpful if you build decks or take them apart constantly
