You can mush up the fruit and freeze it

I love the look of those mexicola grande, I'm super frustrated i lost my grafted tree as they are just impossible to get hold of here, maybe one day I'll get my hands on another one again eventually
I think this is one tree that will handle your weather
Nice crop!
Agreed!
Hi Jeff. There's an avocado tree close to my parents house, I call it mexicola xl those things are easily over 1 pound. The owners always give away their avocados. I tried grafting it to mine but no luck 😅 I love you content, keep it up.
That’s cool!
I wouldn’t mind getting budwood from that tree.
@TropicalGardenGuy I'm going to San Jose today. I can get some more budd wood, I can meet you Sunday afternoon if that works.
Just amazing, wanting to plant 2 avocado trees but it has to be a bit close to our wooden fence or close to the brick walls that separate the neighbors. Are avocado aggressive roots? Can I just prune the the tree to shorten the roots growth?
I’ve seen huge avocado trees planted inches from a house… no issues
Hey man, good videos!
I live in Sacramento. My Father in law taught me to use christmas lights that run hot to keep citrus and avocado safe in the winter.
He strings the lights up every year until about year 6, then he leaves the lights permanently and puts a waterproof cover on the plug, and takes off the cover/heat tightens a water resistant cover to a plugged in one to prevent rain getting in to the live Electric areas.
Year six, the growth slows down, so he doesn't really move the lights for some time.
Hey what was the "big black" avocado?
Yup
Great video! I inherited two avocado trees a few years ago and nursed them back to health. Just found out that one of them was mexicola grande as some has turned black in color. Once they turn black, are they ready to harvest? Or should i wait a couple weeks after they turn fully black?
As soon as totally black they are ready to pick
Can you eat the skin on this variety?
Yes
Hi Jeff did the single Monster fruit make it still going ?
Yup, there’s still one… it’s doing great already about 12 oz in size
Text me directly and I’ll send you an update pic
