  • This compact Banana is not only one of my most cold hardy but also the fruit ripens in only 40 to 60 days after flowering.
For me, it fruited at at only 4.5 ft tall!

Looks like a great variety to grow in your garden, Jeff. I tried to get hold of this one a number of years ago as I thought it could work in a greenhouse here, but the one I imported from Thailand didn't survive. I haven't seen it available since.

Thanks for showcasing the Viente Cohol. I haven’t heard of this variety before, but I am always interested in bananas that have short growing seasons.
Have you ever tried transplanting the pups you remove from any of your bananas?

Could you please list your dwarf, cold hardy bananas? I can track them down myself, but having names would be wonderful.

Dwarf namwah , dwarf Orinoco ,dwarf Brazilian, and Rajapuri are great varieties just make sure you get pups and not tissue cultures as these are almost always mislabeled
