Chemistry, loyal friendships, over the top humour, thick skin, listener participation, cool special guests, incredible knowledge, first hand experience, 7 tour wins ( don't f' with me trolls), insider information,
Vegas beating winner picks ( that's you George) are but just some of the things that make this show rock. Thank you JB, George and the man himself Lance A for what is unequivocally the finest TDF
Show out there. You know , putting together 19 -1 hour you tube/podcast shows is no easy feat. You dudes make it look easy.
Thank you !
LOL @ "7 tour wins ( don't f' with me trolls)"
After laughing for days at the "time check", I finally remembered what it is in French: "temps intermédiaire " BOOM!. TBH, I am French citizen, lived there for over twenty years before moving to the states and it took me some serious thinking (and perhaps rewatching old stages in French) to remember. Also, in a visit to Paris a couple years ago, while ordering dinner in a restaurant, the waiter felt like he had to respond to me in English ;(.
Love the Tour and love your shows. Keeps me going having lost my job due to the COVID disaster. Keep up the awesome work.
The 3rd week of tour goes so quick
:(
Not eff yer enn et
Kwiato has been a loyal team member for many of Froome’s wins. I thought the finish was right thing.
Plus good team politics for Carapaz. Kwiato will be a domestique for him at a GT at some point. Kwiato will remember this stage.

James Carey the hero we need but don't deserve. Thanks bruh
Best comment!
5 min of ads! is insane!
look for this comment every day :)
Anyone ever watched the TDF in the US and A? I always took in for granted that I can watch 5h of tdf without ads until I spend a summer in LA...
Hirchi was amazing. Keeping up the good fight even after such a hard fall. Glad he was awarded combativity.
Awarded combativity? Damn, they done Carapaz dirty for two days running!
Wout Van Aert most combatitive rider of whole tour. the guy is an animal. hope he wins worlds.
@@iminc5498 yes its weird how they award it so early on. Yesterday alaphilippe?.really? Hirshi today did battle for and win the mountain crests... and he also bounced off the pavement and kept going.... impressive. I certainly do see what you mean tho. .
Lance is the Captain America of cycling, still inspiring those to fight cancer. Keep them wheels rolling.
Yep it was beautiful to seem them showing emotion at the finish
Thank you gentleman. Another great show. Looking forward to the last stages with you. Ride to the level of your smile.
“Cue Alan.. and LA’s romance explosion”, every time he hears Alan name the day’s start and finish towns. 😁
Really diggin the show. Thanks, to the trio, as well to everyone behind the scenes who are making it happen.
#mosca #vamos
George, you’re the best commentator in pro cycling. Nobody comes close.
Sign the BOOM stick and send it to Kathy.
Neal Sivie Very cool idea.
great shout out to Kathy! love the show.
teary. Thanks for msg for cancer lady kathy. Thanks for this. Love it.
G needs his win. Great story....Always loved ya George!!
"She is amazing in Geometry" 🤣
So that's the proof we needed to verify if Lance left school to become World Champion.
Thanks for introducing tableau, just joined in
Y'all going to cover the world championship? With Johann? Love your banter.
George I didn't have shoulder surgery for years because you rode through that tour with a torn rotator cuff. If George can ride the tour with a completely torn rotator cuff, I don't need surgery for partial tears. Eventually had it and the biceps tendon reattached.
Live Strong Cathy
Indeed! Our prayers and support to out to Kathy and her husband! Livestrong!
End of business 5:25 & 18:56
Abhishek N Thanks
Abhishek Many thanks
Happy birthday tomorrow, Lance is the man. George is okay. LOL. Still love both JB's to not feel hate
Looking at the overall standings I didn't realize Jumbo has 4 riders in the top 20 that is impressive! Again thanks for the show! Tomorrow Walt van aert for the win!
And think they had to leave Kruijswijk home due to an injury, who was 3rd on last year Tour. How stronger would they have been with him in this team?
@@Tod_oMal Yes,very good point!
Kathy!!! Boom!!! Stay strong and fight hard!!! Sending good vibes!!!
Looking forward to time trials, 2 see the engines of jumbo visma, van art / kuss!
Dumoulin and Roglic...
My horse for Sat's TT is Dumoulin.
Been waiting for the podcast today. Thank you guys from Waco.
Lance Armstrong, always liked riding on a bike. But man you made me fall in love with cycling.......I miss Yellow jerseys!
The mountain portion timing for the pokodot jersey points of the time trial stage only starts at the bottom of the hill not the entire race therefore Carapaz will float until the bottom of the hill and Pogodar will go all out to win the Tour overall. Advantage Carapaz.
Oh interesting. By the way they were phrasing it on the program, it sounded like it was whoever won the time trial got the points, but that makes much more sense and definitely helps Carapaz for the reasons you've said
JC, just for the record: it's polka dot jersey, not pokodot and Pogačar (Pogachar)
@@oliva1971 Pokodot sounds pretty lit tbh. We should change it. 😂
Pogocar will beat carapaz by at least a minute
Hey Lance - just got my PowerDot 2.0. Hopefully it works. If it doesn’t I’ll “see you at the douches” if it does, “we make party”😂😂
It was a heartwarming gesture for Carrapaz to give the victory to Kwiatkowski after all the years Kwiatkowski worked so hard as a super-domestique for Froom's and Thomas' victories, never being able to ride for himself in the Tour de France.
Granny pack: readers, powerDot, prunes, two gel shots of "ensure", CoQ10, and Allieve
LOL

George is a bike rider. Legend
Loved the cameraderie between Kwiatkowski and Carapaz! And at least Kuss is a climber. Remember being overtaken by a classics rider = Wout van Aert to take third on todays stage. Btw, I didn't think that the gravel looked horrible though I agree that the timing of the section... I guess, it made for dramatic v.
Here are some favorites for the Worlds from Terreno Adriatico. Simon Yates, Thomas looked good getting his form back, and Woods as well winning a stage and the jersey for 2 days.
Happy birthday lance! Forever!
Hi Gang!
We want to wish Lance a Happy 49th Birthday! Have a great one. My husband and I so enjoy watching your show and look forward to it each night. How can we see more of your podcast after the tour for other cycling races. Thanks and keep up the great work! All the best, Kerry and Glenn New Jersey
Ann is a gis major for sure
Hey, JB- may you please share the link to the interactive map? Thanks and keep up the good work!
Lances payback for Le time check taking the piss out of George for shaving legs
If you didn't tear up over the hot red-head Cathy story - do you really livestrong? You got this !!!
Lance inn Trump mode :) This shades are AMAZIG (I am AMAZING) :)
JB, GH, and LA as we gear up to review Sunday’s stage, can you all please review the SAVAGE counter attach by George at 1 kilometer to go to bring Mark Renshaw and Marc Cavendish to win in 2009. Brilliant move during the last stage in Paris (Stage 21).
Dark horse for words is Valverde, he is a Boss and a winner.
Natalie knockoff poster... “the more the MARRIER?” TRY merrier ;) Love the show!
Are you guys going to have the podcast for La Vuelta or Giro?
Do you think that Kuss and Powless can win the tour one day? Can they be team leaders? Love the podcast guys!
It seems with these upstarts; Tadej, Woot and Remco and more...they will be after all the jerseys colors at once!
Tom Dumoulin wil be really good in Italy.
Great stuff as always! One question: what is one thing (rule, stage, mountain, etc) that you wish didn't go away from the time you both raced? And what is one thing you would change about this year's Tour?
What an emotional end to the show. Imagining that young woman now struggling with cancer. Livestrong x
Maybe Sagan is sand bagging it this year at the tour to save his legs for the worlds.
Let’s start an annual WEDU meetup in Bourg d’Oisons at the foot of Alpe d’Huez.
George cracking a top 20 at the Cape Epic with Cadel...if ever there was a guilt free pass to shaving your legs. Champ.
WOW (Lance) Geometry or Geography which one that talks about where places are! On the Floor Laughing!
Just got my powerdot today
It’s surprising the disparity of what GH remembers about the good old days and how for the most part LA doesn’t remember it at all.
End of second business 18:56
Those rokas look pretty sweet. 😎
I heard olympics commentators in cross country skying say that if two racers cross the line at the same time and holding hands they both get the same podium finish.
this aint cross countey skiing mr Brunelle. This is the badest sporintg event in the world. One winner.
Ha, yes, love the sport...but they were holding hands...practically. Did not seems to me like neither of them wanted the other to loose.
AND a free hotel room!
How about next year on the rest day take and give us the behind-the-scenes on a memorable day at the race or bus. Talk hotel talk dinners parties would be a fun review. From 1C
Great Podcast guys. Just heard about this pod cast. Sorry I missed the first couple of weeks. BTW does anyone know what watch Lance wearing with orange band?
the most troubling things with Alain is that, now that I have seen him as a person, I find him more mysterious than when he was only a voice
I’m David PÈrez from Mexico City, I loved what you are doing its just the best cycling show in the world you guys made me love the TDF even more and inspired me to ride as much as possible. Keep the good work it’s greatly appreciate.
Question: is there a Mexican rider you remember and why.?
Great Show as allways! Question for the Time Trial. If you on a Team with no interessent in the GC and you are just a helper or a sprinter - with what kind of mindset do you get into the time trial? Go has hard has you can or just talk your bike and go for an easy ride, with no care in world?
Make Alain your GPS voice
Yes. I would pay for that.
Looking forward to seeing WVA vs. MVP at World's. Just like the old cross days. I'm picking Mathieu.
Mathieu isn't taking part, he prefers preparing for the classics.
Idk what's worse, Lance putting his fans through his doping fiasco or Lance putting his fans through these bloody ads
Greetings from John in Ireland, questions for lance and George. Is it better for GC contendors from smaller teams who will most likely finish about 10-15 minutes behind in GC to purposely lose a lot of time at the start of the tour so that they can get easily into breaks in the later weeks of the tour and win stages?
Little love for Wout van Aert, sprinting to third place in a very heavy mountain stage. I wouldn't count him out for the WC
Whistler4u With you on that one!👍
I think there has been way too much made of Ineos not taking Froome and Thomas to the Tour. After the Dauphine, when they had to make the squad selection, neither looked like they were even close to having the form to be competitive. And G has said he had no interest in going to the Tour in a support role. Froome still doesn't look like he's even going to be ready for the Vuelta. As for today, Kwiato has been such a great team rider for Sky/Ineos for many years, he absolutely deserved the stage win. Carapaz will not only win more stages in the future, he'll win Tours for Ineos.
Enigma71559 Totally agree with your comment.
Guys that’s a great 💡 what about a We Du team bus special with all the team members from all the tour wins Lance had. Maybe with the odd exception Or two👍🚴🏻♂️ Lance lay off the old guys with shaved legs. Causing me pain dude😄 Go George🤙
I think I will check Contador’s review of the stage haha
Always ahead of lance
damn I wish there was some way I could either get that translated or CC, looks like a good show.
@@sldulin It's not a big deal, so you aren't missing anything interesting. Contador always supports spanish riders, even when they fail, like Landa in stage 17. That is pretty much what he talks about in his videos.
Mixing in the live reads VERY clandestine
In my opinion polka dot jersey should go to the guy who, over the course of the race, takes the least amount of time to finish each categorized climb. So you would time how long each rider takes from the start of the climb to the top and then sum them all together and viola, you have the best climber in the race.
Makes sense!
totally agree. of course the tech is there to make this happen. A simple, elegant solution. Have no idea why they don't do this.
LA you’re not the Silver Fox with those sunnies. You’re Da Man with no eyes aka Walking Boss. Cool Hand Luke

Lance so much swimming. What's your base dude? 10x100 on 115? Vamos!
Michael Wood is my sleeper pick for the World Championship. Fits perfectly is profile. Tough and steep. Lance is right this time........
Love the podcast. My question is about your “favorite” jersey. How are KOM points decided in a time trial? Are the awarded to the TT winner? Or to the fastest over the climb? Do they Time the climb alone and award it to the fastest for that section?
Would love to see you and he Most Interesting Man in Cycling come out and do the trails in the mountains out here in Roanoke, Virginia.
Climb alone is the answer which means the last 6 km I believe. Advantage Carapaz because he will take it easy until the climb. Pogacar has no choice but to go all out the entire time trial.
Ann is no Microsoft Propeller head, That's Tableau Public!
Lance YOU screwed up George once for the stage win in TDF !!!! Love the show ..........
Nòooooooooooo it's nearly over ,great podcast
The Giro, the Vuelta, the World Championships and the One Day Classics are coming...
Yes I know but Le tour is the best
@@jon4539 Sure. I Have always been a fan of Le Tour but for me the Giro has been really amazing these last couple of years. Looking forward to it too.
OK the weather may have a big impact on Giro being so late in year, in England it gets so grey and wet this time of year maybe in Italy the weather will be better
@@jon4539 We could have some snow in the Alps already in October. Not cool for the riders but cool for the viewers.
Tomorrow we meic parti.
The sprint yes but I think Sunweb and Movistar are going to make the day tomorrow.
@Sammmy_Be will definitely make party
Remember back in the 80's when the King of the Mountains was fun - Robert Millar and Luis Herrera smashing it up the hills? That was fun: an orney Hinault giving it full spuds with Herrera and Millar? Nice...
They should put in some big hills in the first couple of stages to get rid of the guys that hold the jersey for two weeks and gives it up towards the end. Maybe they should just do away with points for the 4th and 3rd Cat climbs.
Landa's great on the hills - but only when there's no pressure on him. His climb with Contador in the Giro up the Mortirolo when team leader Aru turned into a blubbering mess, that was a no chain day.
Thanks for telling us about the Magic Spoon Cereal. I absolutely LOVE it!!
Love the podcast. Question for the Dynamic Duo, how close do the top two riders have to be to each other time wise for there to be an actual race to the finish in Paris? I know that the final stage is typically a sprinters affair, but there’s got to be a scenario where they would actually have to battle it out to the end, and not just coast in sipping champagne. Also, if there’s time for a follow up question, could L & G take a minute to explain how remarkable it is that Valverde is in 10th on GC after 18 stages at age 40! How is it possible to be riding at that level at his age, particularly given the difficulty of this years Tour? Thanks, Todd
Can Lance get a titanium perscription pair?
Is there a link for us to check out the interactive 'geometry' map? Or maybe it's not how it works?
Looking at what Wout van Aert's doing this year, it seems the green jersey would be a walk in the park for that guy
Can you guys talk about Wout Van Aert? What the hell is his deal. The guy can obviously sprint and he can seriously climb too. Outsprinting the best sprinters and dropping some of the best climbers out there. Is he rare or some can really do both? Thanks guys keep it up!
"Lance came third that day.."
Lance: "I did not know that.."
Today's stage shows that Bernal's poor form was holding Ineos back, and having only one leader has huge risk. Should've had two leaders, let them race until one shows form, similar to what JVS did with Roglic and Doumilon. Ineos showed they have form and talent, wasted up to now, could've chased a few stage wins instead of going for GC.
Pretty sure that's why Carapaz was chosen (he has won a Grand Tour). He unfortunately crashed and lost time early on to where Bernal became the sole leader at that point.
Question for the team - I see all the riders with stickers on their stems with details about the course. How is it possible that these riders have modern bike computers, and radios to the team car, and yet the best way to get notes about the stage is with athletic tape and sharpie!?
😂 28:40 Geometry 🤣
I think it's Geology
…'give me the Boom back, I've got a Boom later' 🙃
fun fact: Richie Porte couldn't get a wheelchange cause of the disc brake faff
Rokutaro Ha...! Too funny!! I did'nt know this.
Can you show the PowerDot contents on the show?
For anyone looking, here's the link to Ann Parthemore's TDF Map.

Lance you look 70
Question: What do you guys think about the tour ending with the flat stage in Paris every year? What about a mountain stage or a time trail as the last stage of the Tour!
Carapaz is almost sure of the polka dot jersey. It is not for the race winner, but for the fastest climber. So Carapaz can chill for 30km and then go full speed and he'll get the 10 points on top.
that data dashboard is actually very easy
