Hot Wheels Customization: Super Van - Tropic Edition? Hello and welcome back to Diecast Resurrection. In today's video I had a bit of a cold I was getting over, this was kind of a chill video where I worked some paint magic on my favorite casting, the Super Van! This one was a bit tricky to pull off as you'll see in the video but it turned out as a one of a kind beauty! Leave a comment with a good name for this one!

I truly like this result! I'd be afraid to sand back the little tape remnants and apply more clear coat, but...YOU know what you're doing, definitely. These paint jobs look so liquid and ravishing.
How about calling it "The Palm Beach Express". Just an idea.

Multicolor paint is never easy. But I'm so glad to see actual "custom" multi color paint instead of just another color. Great work.
The black lines really made it work. That candy is sweeeeeeet palm trees and a calm breeze super van is in my top 10 castings.
Definitely the hard way….you got there, but you had to really work for it! Lol
A better process would have been to spray blue, mask decal areas, silver sealer/poison green, allow to dry, mask green stripe, paint black, decal, then clear coat the whole she-bang. Much smoother work flow….
Also, magenta would have looked phenomenal with that blue and the whole 80’s vapor wave theme (but I get it, the green goes with the windshield….

I cannot lie - I wish it was later in the week - thumbs up for the weekend and thumbs up for a Super Van! That being said at least there's some Diecast Resurrection on the UA-cams today!

I am digging the palm trees.That paint scheme would look really good on 56 Ford panel truck and Studebaker pickup that HW recently released. JADA Slug Bug would be a good one of for the palm tree dot as well. Listening to what you were saying about the paint. Considering the scale, your decals are pretty sick. I think this is my favorite paint scheme you've done since I started watching.

Beautiful van. Love the clor scheme. You should do a sister van with the opposite colors. The metallic aqua and green as base and black as the stripes and decal. I just really loved the way it looked with the two color scheme as well.

Cool! Been waiting for something like this for a while. You did such a great job with your fade paint jobs in the past would like to see that on another "surfer" van with some bubble windows, roof rack with surf boards. Gnarly!

Ok, at first when you showed the black candy on there I was thinking oof. However when it went in for clear under a different light you could see the colors come out brighter and also on the rotisserie . Looks real nice.

Love it. I am working on 55 panel with that windshield for my Canada Day build. I am trying to use rattle can auto spray tint to see if I can get it a dark tint. After first 2 light coats it looks black so may have to order another version of a panel van with clear or smoke tint to use in this build.

After getting the green and blue covered with vinyls, a red to yellow sunburst would have been cool. Fantastic job!!! (better than I could do)…
