@@DynamicUnreal i got quite stressed this days, generaly you spin once, but my man... i got a 20 sec lead, TOUCHED THE GRASS AT 50 KM, my car went straigt to the barrier, lost the 20sec and then gained another 20 sec lmao (LMP Bentley)
Mate im not gonna lie, these Forza videos are my favorite you've made. The game is chaos and buggy but its fun and entertaining.
i never watched recordings of online gameplay in any game but somehow with your commentary, this is oddly entertaining, especially when all my driving is with breaking line on :)

I'd have to agree with most of what you said about the bad driving, there are definitely a whole bunch of w@nkers in FM. However I also have to say that I think 40%-50% of the bad driving is down to the fact that anybody driving in any of the First Person views is severely disadvantaged because there is no way to tell where the other cars are round you. The proximity arrows only work in chase mode and are completely useless otherwise
100% I wish they would add a radar similar to other games and make it on by default

You can see the arrows and you have mirrors. You can also directly look at the direction. Here's an idea, know where to put your car if you're actually racing and stop being a knob.
One of my favourite things is being 3rd fastest in the lobby and your car wasn’t even specifically tuned for the track, nor do you know if they used softs or had 1 tank of fuel left and so finding extra time due to a track error just goes to show you that you’re quick! Such a good feeling tbh
It is so hard for me to play this after being used to ACC but I gotta admit the multiplayer system is fun. Wish we had that in AC/ACC. Fingers crossed for AC2
Try LFM is great in ACC and AC.
Man I am really just not a fan of how they still kept the weird mish mash classes like "Forza GT" that lump in modern gt3 cars, GTE's, Early gen gt2's, australian v8 supercars... Trans am 2 cars... SRO GT1 sports club cars that really arent even "raced" at all..... These cars in reality would be NO WHERE NEAR on the same playing field as each other, australian v8 supercars and trans am 2 wouldnt even be close to gt3's with their aero advantage. Yet they all drive like they are on equal performance, it just doesnt feel like a "sim" to me. I was hoping with the reboot that turn 10 would make some effort to focus more on the "motorsport" aspect and design more proper classes where cars from around the same series/generation could race together. I still feel like the best class structure we got in a "sim cade" type game was project cars 2. The classes were just realistic enough to seem believable while still giving us a good choice in cars per class.

I really hope they can fix that T1 at mid ohio. There's a few other examples I can think of too besides that but it's probably the most egregious example of track limits exploitation.
There isn't a top split in Forza sadly. The way matchmaking works sets it up that you will end up generally with a wide range of skils ratings. At 4980 rating, it's not unusual for me to find myself in a lobby where I am 1 second a lap faster than the closest guy, and over 10 seconds faster a lap than the slowest guy. Matchmaking builds lobby too fast, separating into buckets by safety it appears, but not enough join before a lobby fills for it to matter the skill rankings.
Currently, there are no "splits" in Forza. It's genuinely just random lobbies atm.

What changes to the tune did you end up making? As a fellow 911 gt3 driver the tweaks in the last video DEFINITELY set me on the right track. Just missing a bit of compliance that I’d want. Loving the Forza videos!✊🏾
It's mostly in the suspension. You have to tune it based on the car's weight distribution.
So with the 911 you have to put 28 more kgf/mm on the rear, which gives EVEN MORE oversteer 😃

I love the #73 GT3 at least as much as you do and I found your other video where you tune it. I applied that tuning and I LOVE how the car handles with it. However, I'm suuuuuper ultra slow with that tuning not having any chance in MP, no matter what I do. So, question: How are you so fast with that tuning?????
Hey man, I use the same DD and wheel as use, I play on Xbox. I can’t figure out my sensitivity. I have it on Auto and works pretty well. But is there a way to sync up the game wheel to my wheel, other the. Being on 1890 sensitive?
There's nothing more infuriating than being rammed into a spin and watching your tires turn the crap after because of it. You'd think losing time would be enough a punishment but no, you also have to replace your tires as well to add to the absolute hell.
There's really no incentive to be clean when penalties are so spotty and ramming someone into oblivion only costs a few seconds to yourself but dozens to the person you ran over.
The incentives are completely out of whack in this game.

Im on the verge of uninstalling. I havent had a rollercoaster. Its been nothing but submerged in the depths of bullshit. I cant brake into a corner ever, without getting rearended and thrown into the wall or dirt. Was fighting for 4th and got spun, got back onto track in 6th, immediately spun by 7th in the next corner and dropped to 9th on the last lap.

Im 7 races in. S class rated and still have never had a penalty on an online race. Ive been spun out several times and they get minimal penalties. One guy got 1st with 7 penalties while i had 3rd with zero

Use Performance instead of Performance RT. Rt is almost invisible in this game.

Yes, when you're in the car tuning window, there's a button for "Setup Manager" at the bottom. There you can save your tunings.

I'm rated at 4998 and I'm paired often with people 2+ seconds a lap off the pace. I'm absolutely convinced that the lobbies are currently random, just another bug in the hundreds that the game has right now.
Active player counts are tiny so the game is likely having to pull from wide pools to fill lobbies.
@Ermz It wouldn't surprise me if that is the cause. I have seen a lot of top drivers and livery designers take a step away due to the games rocky launch. It would be nice to have a full lobby within a second a lap in pace without signing up for a weekly organised race at TORA for example. It's in these moments I feel we learn the most as drivers.
At least for now, that pace variation makes for some fun lobbies starting from the back. 😁
You should have a night time race on mid ohio or virginia international in P class. You'll be up for a real carnage i promise

How does that work anyway? Is it AI laptime related, is there an adjusted ELO like system with a cutoff? They had "TrueSkill" in the earlier Forza´s and were said to still calculate it even if it wasn´t shown(so atleast 1 game?).

Ranked lobby's are broken,having an s rating I find it curious how some slackjaws are willing to use you as a brake or push you off as you overtake,anyone with a b or lower rating should be in their own spanner lobby.
Bro every time I play FORZA Motorsport multiplayer (new sim racer), I never get through a race without getting rammed into. I laugh so hard, I love the game but it isn’t the most realistic lol

Yea I'm hovering at 4980-5000 and some lobbies im still the fastest by a decent margin... but can't complain as some lobbies you get crazy close competition as well... maybe they should be more strict on the matchmaking variance, but then again i would rather be in full lobbies no matter what

1 month before: Absolutely bashing the game. 1 month after: Avatar level 926 (I have +30 hours played and still 125... do the math). Someone is enjoying the game more than he thought!

How do you be like "this is my one of my first races" and also be like "I'm in the top split"? How are you so confident that you are racing with the best of the best when your lobbies are obviously disasters?
Skill rating based matchmaking system, and my account's skill rating is near capped.
Spoiler: the lobbies are disasters because that's what Forza's playerbase is.
@@Ermz You know that skill & safety ratings don't work as intended, don't you? So having any rating doesn't really matter.
@@Ermzskill based matchmaking doesn't currently work. The actual top split times (good people coming together and making lobbies) are all in 21s on Mid-Ohio. When you go into a lobby solo as a "top split driver" as you put it, you're matched with people 3-4 seconds off pace currently
You're not bad so I get that you expected actual matchmaking, but actual top splits wouldn't allow you to gain 18 positions lol
@@Ermz please try to seek out some of the fast guys by name and join lobbies with them. They are all nice people and in my experience they make a party of like 12 before joining a race and it truly becomes "top split". Your pace is pretty similar to mine and I get humbled so much running with the top team guys and they are clean.

There is no such thing as "top split" in Forza. The lobby fills up with the first people that sign up, regardless of safety or driver rating, and then it's full.

I think the penalties need to be harsher to push people down to the lower safety ratings. You can get away with murder in the current system and only pay a minor penalty to your SR.

4950+ here. I totally understand people ramming intentionally and unintentionally into a corner. This is just the unfortunate truth of racing online with all manor of randoms.
What I cannot fathom is the sheer disdain by fellow racers in a fricking straight line!! If someone has been behind me for a few laps and is obviously quicker and they manage to get better traction out of the last corner , just let them past. Your literally recking both of yours and theirs race by sideswiping anyone thats clean through. Half of the battle and genuine enjoyment is racing bumper to bumper over several laps allowing each other just enough space for driving a decent timed lap.
If others are faster then practice your skills in driving , not swiping. Go play nfs or burnout.
Why did they add the Porsche GT3 R from 2016? Are they just not interested in motorsport? There is 2 newer versions of that car.

How do you determine your strategy for tire selection? I feel like never know when I should a hard, medium, or soft compound.
Medium races almost always do best with medium compound and one pitstop. Some tracks like lemans with huge pits are better on a single set of hards.

That's actually not an entirely unfair way to describe it.
1:28 car 69 is in front and you supposed to be the more experienced racer, and didn't let him take the racing line, points well deserved, 1:32 he still in front, you either try deny him his line knowing he spin out, because of the way 69 came across your front and producer of classic pit, although you didn't deliberately pit, you should maybe have known better...
Are you genuinely defending the 69 car? The 69 was not completely in front coming out of the corner. Ermz even took the corner wide and gave room for the 69 to come out a little bit. There was an entire track width of room but the 69 still tried pushing Ermz off track. That was a dirty block by the 69.
He wasn’t ahead or else there wouldn’t have been any contact he knew there was a car along side but looked like he didn’t care and when contact was made he continued to turn left. You can’t just pretend there isn’t a car there to suit your race that’s not how it works. You can’t just use the “ohh you’re more experienced you should know better” excuse when you don’t even know the skill level of the other driver that doesn’t make sense lol unless that was you or something? In which case I can see why you would try to defend that filth.

Once you see 0.01 in the time split that means a car is along side you but people don’t care he obviously knew a pass was about to happen and reacted that’s called blocking not defending. If he wanted to defend that line he should have gone left sooner but was all over the place to block anyone attempting a pass that’s just bad race craft. You can see when the yellow car was about to pass he moved to the right that was his one defense move then he saw another car on the outside and moved again to block.
