We too are working for AES, and are being told the LiDAR files we provided them will not import to their standards, even though we used their feature codes. Where does the .lmp file come from? Is this something we can create to assist with our conversion?
We created the .lmp, it took a lot of testing to get the work flow figured out... and a lot of software will screw up the feature codes if not imported correctly. I can give you some advice if you want to talk over it.
I am importing an LAS file with 8 million less points than yours and it's taking me roughly 1 hour to execute. I'm running a threadripper, 3090, and 128GB of ram so wouldn't think my machine is holding me back..? is there something to be enabled in PLS CADD to import LAS data quicker? Great video!
@@GeoproXYZ Version 1.4 produced in LP360. I'm a surveyor, just trying to get the data in PLS CADD...after importing the LiDAR data and assigning FEA codes I still can't see my data. Gotta be doing something wrong on my end! Will reach out to support!

@@vasanths8704 theoretically the point cloud be coded to anything, there's no way to determine without looking at it every classification code. It's likely that they used asprs codes as a standard, but if that doesn't seem to work you're going to have to ask the provider of the data.

There are no additional settings that I'm aware of. What version las are you trying to import? What software produced it?

Hi Nice video. Can you please share how did you create that .imp file?
I created the .lmp in Excel, it's a simple ASCII file that maps one feature code to another.
