    The first details on next year’s LEGO Star Wars sets have surfaced online, pointing to a larger January wave than usual - and the long-overdue return of a Revenge of the Sith ship.
    2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the final Star Wars prequel movie’s theatrical debut, and the LEGO Group will apparently be celebrating from day one with a brand new version of the ARC-170. Our last iteration of the multi-cockpit starfighter (at minifigure scale) dropped in 2010, so this one has been a long time coming.
    Instagram user childish_landino_chronicles reports six new LEGO Star Wars sets will be arriving in January, as the LEGO Group seemingly consolidates its January and March waves from recent years into a single launch. That’s evidenced by the presence of two 18+ sets here, which for the past few years have typically debuted in March. Or the theme could just be expanding…
    Dive into the rumours set-by-set below, with more specific details coming courtesy of Eurobricks user FoggyFate (a previously reliable source), but remember that nothing here is outright confirmed. And given it’s only July, we’ll probably be waiting a while before we learn any official news on the LEGO Star Wars 2025 range.

    $45 for a Jedi Interceptor is beyond ridiculous; however, I have a feeling that there might be some insane exclusive minifigures to jack up the price. Since this is rumored to be Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor, why not throw in Ventress and Barriss from that same arc in addition to a de-Clone Wars-ified Seasons 3-5 Ahsoka and R7-A7?

    It would be really cool if Lego made a midi scale Acclamator or Lukrehulk since we’ve never seen those from Lego before.

    I like the idea of doing a "Jedi Starfighter Pack" that comes with a new Jedi and their starfighter each wave.
    Would LOVE to see a purple one with Mace Windu, a green one with Kit Fisto. Would be a nice way to include some Jedi that they might not have a place for in a standard playset.
    Not happy about Ahsoka's $50 price tag. But wouldn't mind it too much if the sets came with a more exclusive minifig like a Kit Fisto or a Shaak Ti (Granted the new Ahsoka starfighter should be the first Clone Wars variant of Ahsoka we'll get without those god awful clone wars eyes)

      The problem with doing one Jedi Starfighter per wave is that builders are probably going to get tired of making the same build over and over.

      @@EternityKingdomsHeadHoncho I would agree 100%... if I wasn't already building an X-Wing and Tie Fighter every year or so. Maybe every WAVE is a bit to frequent, so maybe like one a year.

    I'm baffled by Ahsoka's jedi interceptor. She's not in Revenge of the Sith and there are already two other sets out with an Ahsoka figure, so that seems like a waste of a slot. Any other jedi fighter would make more sense.
    I figured we'd be getting a midi Venator vs a Home One, I do wonder when they'll start retiring these as they'll soon have quite a few on the shelf at once. And thank you Brick Fanatics for plugging the Nebulon-B. I'd give back all the other midi scale sets for that one as I'm unwilling to pay £200 to get one second hand and it's my favourite capital ship in Star Wars..

      We get so many Obi-Wan and Anakin interceptors, getting Ahsoka’s is something fresh. And we haven’t gotten a new Padawan Ahsoka since she had bug eyes.

    • @arghjayem
      @arghjayem Місяць тому +1

      I agree. I think remaking Saesae Tiin’s or Plo Koon’s Starfighter would’ve be appreciated more. Or do something like Kit Fisto’s version of the delta 7 Starfighter. Fans would love it just to get a new Kit Fisto minifigure! But I guess it’s Disney and they want to keep it to Ahsoka as she’s got her own show and it cross promotes it.

    on the note of people stopping to pay for LEGO Star Wars Sets, actually I stopped buying them for the reason of them being to pricy. The amount of times within the last 4 years I went into some stores and was thinking about buying a set but then ultimately deciding it's not worth the money, I don't wanna play their games so to say. Then minifigs dont even have duomolded legs, no good printing, there are too many stickers in general and for the new skiff think, the sarlacc pit just looks horrible. Stuff like this just make up a lot of good reasons to not pay for that until they fix it, atleast to me

      Agree with a lot of what you have said, though I do like the Sarlacc. With respect to the Desert Skiff set, at that price, you would think they would at least give us a shoulder cape for Boba Fett :/
      Even more abysmal is the fact that the Boba we are getting is from Episode 5, not 6. Regardless, no cape for Boba is RIDICULOUS at that price.
      I have greatly dialed back my Star Wars buying.

    Right, so we're all factoring in when people will stop buying lego star wars. I disagree that lego are playing the gullible grandparent and just passing the costs onto consumers. Look at the part saving they've implemented on star wars (and jurassic etc) i think they've factored everything in precisely. There's another elephant in the room of more people buying lego only on discount, so if they're formalising some sort of exploitative front line pricing vs everyone else 'waiters', pushing the front further would precisely match the dual purchasing demographics as well. Never forget that lego still make money even with what they sell to department stores at clearance prices.

    TBH none of them interest me. Not a lot of Lego sets, Star Wars or otherwise, have really interested me for a long time.
    Most of my collection nowadays is either MOCs or alt builds. For example I bought the Technic Fire Fighting plane purely for the alt build on rebrickable that turns it into the Conwing L16 Seaduck from Talespin. Or the 89 batmobile that I bought just to do the TAS batmobile alt build.
    Or with the Star Wars helmet sets- I loved the look of some of them (the scout trooper) but not a fan of the white LEGO (it always yellows). So instead I MOCed a Shadow Scout trooper variant replacing the various colours with black, dark blue and dark red (for the visor). Also built a Death Trooper version of the stormtrooper mask, the black with a green visor looks awesome.
    I get why AFOLs complain about sets when they come out not being to their liking- but the fact is they aren’t really aimed at AFOLs to a degree. And if you really want something you’ve just got to Thanos it (I guess I’ll have to do it myself). 😂

      That stuff is planned well in advance, has nothing to do with popularity. Besides, considering that we're only now getting the more spoiler heavy set from Ahsoka, we could very easily end up getting an Acolyte set mid 2025 or so

    to be frank...I think LEGO SW needs to be put to bed for 3 to 4 years. Its far to stagnant, mundane, and repetitive...not to mention stagflation and pricing hasn't helped the greedy IP license holders/plastic manufacturing. I know from a business money making stand point that SW will never be put to bed but it needs it so bad. We can't keep getting X-wings and Tie fighters followed by horrid sets with rare minifigures at peaked prices...its just old and my wallet hasn't shilled for a single LEGO SW set in about 3 years. Anywho great video nonetheless and I really want to see a UCS N-1 Starfighter or a UCS ARC-170. I am also low key pretty hyped for this years rumored UCS Jabba's Sail Barge...I hope it's done proper!

    • @coraldiamond1922
      @coraldiamond1922 Місяць тому

      You want the Franchise to go away yet you also want to see what the next UCS set looks like?
      Until people stop buying they won't overprice their sets. Also a lot of sets are expected to be at least 20% off by next year.
      They produce plenty that isn't a X Wing or Tie fighter.
