I WOULD DEFINITELY Dig A RETENTION POND IN THAT EMPTY FIELD SOMETHING ABOUT 6-8ft DEEP ABOUT 150ft LONG 100ft WIDE 👍🏾. AND THEN WITH ALL THE EXTRA DIRT BUILD ALL THE LAND UP WITH A SLIGHT SLOPE TWORDS THE RETENTION POND. ALSO DIG SMALL TRENCHES TO RUN WATER TWORDS THE RETENTION POND
He lives in a wetland, direct the water to the wetland. I also mentioned the retention ponds, I am a certified stormwater inspector but he he ignores my personal messages. I swear It's probably going to turn me off to the channel because he won't listen to reason.
@@justicegreen4055 He refuses to listen to a lot of shit that coulda been avoided
He only listens to what animal to to get next
I dont think be owns it yet
@@justicegreen4055 i doubt he sees the personal messages. Maybe hit up his business email where he sells the turtles and things
Depending on codes / state law you should bring in fill dirt with heavy rock & build burms then put top soil on top & plant willow trees , red maple or river birch, white cedar they absorb the most, i landscape for a living 💪🏼💪🏼🔥
I think if you make a pond, where the flood is on Captains side of the fence next to the Amazone area, you can make/convert that in a crocodilian area later.
Also a trench for the rest of that area + getting some extra dirt to make the whole area higher (including the Amazon area, will help a great deal.
ya that a really good idea!!
You should make a retention pond an have drain system going from each enclosure to retention pond
Weeping willow trees I have them in my backyard it use to be a swamp and now it's a tiny little puddle seriously Weeping willows also are safe for animals also they are so pretty and they profiles shade in hot days
just cant put them to close to buildings or houses cause the roots can cause serious damage.
Yeah 😂 but otherwise they are perfect for you blake 🙂
They need lots of water to survive as well and when they get the water they just suck it up they are beautiful trees
Yes and there are smaller weeping trees that are better for near buildings to help suck up water to keep away from basements my basement had a leak go the leak fixed and found a I think its a dwarf weeping cherry tree and the puddling in my yard and near my house is little to none now and tree is on 6ft tall and 3in thick
You should put drain tiles in like they do for corn fields. It might be a little pricey but so is the destruction from a massive flood.
Nah he wont listen
@@deguzmanjancisarwinb.1848 it is his ranch not ours so he can do whatever he wants. I was just making a suggestion.
Sorry to hear about the flooding again. If it was me I would not be putting that aviary where you planned to put it. Perhaps build it closer to the main shed such as just inside where the chickens and turkeys are or near where the owl is. Then build a long retention pond starting from where you wanted to build the aviary, right along that boundary (make it longer and a little deeper than you had planned). In addition dig some deep sumps...fill it with gravel and rocks.
You said in one of your last videos that you were like Noah's ark getting 2 of each animal. Guess mother nature heard you and decided to flood you.
Lmao🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 best comment of 2020
@@maxichetty2888 Can't agree more 😂😂
🤣
Couldn't b said any better!! These people are so high on themselves they won't listen to us working folks... All about views donations and money!!
haha so true
Been praying for your ranch and I do believe getting alot of dirt and doing trenches will help God bless 🙏💜
Great vid Blake I love how the water looks and the pool is looking good! 😌
I pray the rain stops in Florida🙏, and your animals are always safe. Good work Blake. You and your family are awesome. Thank you for sharing these videos so we can keep this in prayer🙏. Love you and your family and animals. Your sister is brave too👍👍😊❤
Build a retention pond in the second field
And use the soil to fill in the low spots
I dont think he owns it yet
@@rendellhamilton8763¹2 21q22
Exactly what he needs to do these are just rain storms not even hurricanes
Deep pond in the other field and make high ground pathways for the animals to get to the extra field
Blake Weeping Willow trees suck water and the goats will love them
What u said they suck thin u said the goats will love them
@@melissagoebel9806 they suck water will help with the flooding . Read the entire comment
Bald cypress are great as well but you need to get older ones so the goats don't eat them
When it come to most animal UA-camrs this guy is FRIKEN awesome
Definitely need a French drain along Ur property to direct all that water, gravel and plants should help soak up some of that water. Direct it all to a large holding pond over the far side of the property. I'd also move alot of dirt and soil raise the land around the barn and aviary area, the goat and chicken area, make it high and level, then slop it down to the french drain which runs to the holding pond. Problem solved for that area, tho the holding pond area if U build one might flood but that's over the back not the main area, it's all about moving land.
Love this show Blake you are so inspiring and people around the world will follow in your foot steps
hear is a list of theers Add white cedar, white pine, hemlock, black spruce. Swamp (red) maple likes it too, but it blows over too easily in high winds. Alder and black willow don't blow over easily, and neither do the conifers. Dogwood is more of a shrub, but it likes it wet
Can you install drains. So you'll dig like 2 ft and install PVC for cheap and add drains to have it run off somewhere. Like you said you can always use that skid to slope the yard at a angle like a slab of concrete
Bro I'm from south Florida the only thing you can do is get trucks of dirt and raise the land up so your yard doesn't fill up and it goes to the land around you. Its kinda expensive but it's all you can do. My yard you to fill up also at my old house. Get shellrock then actually dirt fir on top
Man I don't know what to do. I'm sorry I know you are going to be ok I pray that you will have the strength to get through this. You got so much on your plate. Take care Blake.
Florida problems 🙄 hope everyone is dry and safe ♥️
So Sad....Amazing Video Good Job. Thanks For Sharing.
Help this man get to 1 million asap, this the best UA-camr
I haven’t watched this Chanel in ages now I’m watching it you’ve got more animals. And he’s still got the Gucci gang
Hey blake omg your ranch is flooded again I was researching about what trees you can put and like the others said to put weeping willows and cypress trees will do good put them where moors is at can you drain the water to the pasture behind where you sometime let moors go to maybe that would be a best place to drain all the water. You have so many of your fans wishing you the best your one awesome young man dealing with all this hope you get all the help you need soon so this don't happen again. Good luck sending you my prayers for you and your family and also all your animal to be safe 💜💜
Willows are perfect for this. They naturally grow by streams, lakes, and other wet areas. Because of this, their leaves and roots are well adapted for soaking up all that excess moisture. Ash trees, red maples, river birches, and other trees are great for the same reason.
Try these
Just wondering once the water is dried up.. If building a concrete wall only 2/3 feet with steps around the barns save the barn from water damage..
I love your vids praying for your ranch and still love your intro music!
Trees that absorb a lot of water
Red maple (zones 3-9)
Weeping willow (zones 6-8)
Ash (zones 3-9)
Oriental arborvitae (zones 6-11)
Black gum (zones 4-9)
White cedar (zones 4-8)
River birch (zones 3-9)
Bald cypress (zones 5-9)
I love what you do , content keeps getting better and better keep it up
Just had a fantastic idea! You need a few 1000 gallon water storage tanks. You can pump the water into the tanks, and reuse as you need..
You could try to pump the excess water into big storage tanks.. It can be put on the other side of the land. But pipes running to the lowest points of the land so the pump can suck up the water and push it the the holding tanks. Those tanks are like green and made of plastic. Look into it since you get alot of rain there
You should get a hippo if it keeps flooding like this
Wait I haven’t seen this Chanel in a while does he have a hippo ? My guess no but he should get one
Thanks for sharing your videos to us
I watch your videos every morning and day
I feel like the capybaras enjoyed this the most. They were just EVERYWHERE living their best life !!!! Hahaha
What happens to you ponds with fish when you have a flood?
Maybe create ponds that can have over flows that will go into storage than then has another over flow that is connected to a massive out let. Talk to your water suppliers and see what options that they have available.
Also look up Greg Woodstock, aquatic magician, also ed pond professor!
Your water supplier maybe able to improve drainage also!
WOW what a FLOOD! 😬😬
Poor animals looks like you’re trying your best to keep them safe and as comfortable as they can! Hope it dries up soon and you can figure out a drainage system. You need a retention pond!
4 comment what up blake you are the best and the greatest I always enjoy seeing your amazing animals 💯👍💪
At several others have said weeping willows are your best bet they will really suck the water out of the ground that keep your area dry just have to have the room to plant on top of them I have to agree with the others if you went with a retention pond second area how much you hate to lose ground the straight retention Pond over there is deep as you can dig it that might be a better option I'm trying to pump it out. Put her attention point in and why what was the weeping willow talk to and make sure that would work and then do your Amazon
Weeping willow trees love water and suck it up quickly. Plant a bunch of them on the side with all the water. They will not hurt the animals. You may want to look into french drains. Everything drains from underground but I am not sure if you can use them in Florida because of the water table but it's something to look into. Also red maples love water to but I think weeping willows work better. Good luck with all that rain I hope it stops soon. I love all your animals and would hate to see any of them end up sick because of all that water.
Hope everything works out Blake invest in a boat well done for rescuing the animals
Usually I get mad about getting click baited, but for you it just doesn’t bother me haha
The chickens and turkeys are going to be full especially when they start eating the worms in the dirt.
What if you move your pastured animals to the back pasture where Mooers is? It looked dry back there? Instead of by the barn, you could put them up at night and out to the big pasture during the day?
Why you put shark and hippos jajaja
Is there anyway to pump the water directly out into water trucks since theres no sewer near your property ??
Love seeing the capybara being free range 🙂
Love u carrying that stinky buck💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
We got slammed with rain here in Davie, Cooper City, Southwest Ranches. South Florida in general. I didn't pay attention to how much farther out it went but IT SUCKED! THANK GOD IT STOPPED! FOR NOW! Glad the animals are all OK
I can't think of a way to drain the water, but you could elevate the farm house(I assume the water damaged it because it's made from wood, and moisture would cause it to rot.) In some areas of Southeast Asia they have elevated houses due to excessive rain, and flooding.
One of my dreams is to do something like this so watching this is inspirational
You go Blake you goooo
Cheapest way to fix it quickly is too build islands with tires and rocks and fill dirt inside the tires and rocks and then on the other side of the fence dig a large trench and reroute the water away from your main structure do you own the land on the other side of the fence as well or does it belong to a neighbor?
Keep it up 👍 n keep strong💪 and press on...

Super cool great job
Wow love your pong / pasture
Thanks for the video
Field drains and weeping willows might help
I have a small list.
Alocasia.
Bald Cypress.
Banana. ...
Bog Sage. ...
Card Sound Buttonwood. ...
Coconut Palm. ...
Copperleaf. ...
Frogfruit.
U are the best Blake keep it up
The Ducks must love it
In chicago we build retention pond somewhere I know Greg should be able to help with that!
Only trees we can think of at the moment are; Pine and Spruce trees.. we do not know if they grow where you live?
also, willow trees are good with water and keep all the soil clumped together with their roots
Lol a Grasshopper
you might have to border the aviary with higher ground , border the higher ground with concrete trim, then gradual down-grade the ground, take the extra ground fom the pasture first to get what you want in the aviary first.
Observe where the deepest part of the flood is then that is where you should dig a deep pond coz that means thats the place where almost all the rain water flows down. That means there is a big possibility you would have to re organized your farm. then add soil to areas flooded but not that deep. That weather you have will be the same thing for the next 20 to 30 yrs so as early as now better be wise and adjust, unless you want that routine you just did, do it over and over multiple times yearly.
hope u doing Better dude wish The best for u 😊 love all ur videos
Spongbob and sponges will help with the flood
Badass ranch!
I want to move to the northern part of Florida and be a vet but I also wanna have my place be like yours with having a ton of animals (ofc when I have the land, time, and responsibility for them). I knew the weather was bad but I gotta make sure for the goats I want that I have a shelter high enough so they don’t get wet
Yo but that cow has its own personal swimming pool, pool party with the emu`s!
Try to get some zigzag water kennels with some check dams with minimum depth, where it can be also used as small ponds & a massive deeper pond have to be build at end,it would hold up all your floods for some days without a problem
I agree with everyone is saying by making a retention pond but I would dig sevreal since you have the land for it, make them at least 8 feet deep at the center, you can rent a mini excavator and dig them out yourself in a day or two
Hey Blake! You’re killin it man!! Such an inspiration!!👍🏼
U could build up your land in that area or a retention pond,I built my fuels up so I don't get flooding. But wow that's alot. Ya if I was you I'd build it up before adding any pond it put a retention pond if building up that part of property is to much, but I know here when construction ppl are looking to get rid of sod or dirt they will dump in yard for fee. But love your chanel happy found u from Jay he's got awesome snakes love his alligator equana.
A simple solution is elevating the ground level. Something more complicated is installing underground drains like in concrete streets
Get rid of the ants while they are balled up!
YES!!! I HATE ANTS!!!
@mike nothing Well its my opinon and if you dont like it you can shut up thx lv
@mike nothing shh do not replie any more that was not my i am srry
@mike nothing i am a 10 year old esol student
Fingers crossed all your animals survive this flood ❤🇬🇧🇬🇧
You should look into getting underground drainage tanks in your property
WILLOWS 🌳🌵🌿
I love your video and i hope all your animal are safe
Does it pool into your property you might be able to concrete some of your property to devert the water
Hi Blake hope your animals stay safe from the floods I feel so bad for them. The chicken on the goats back was so adorable hopefully it stops raining soon From Wales uk
some sort of under ground tank to take the water and channel it out to other places like other tanks and direct to a area that it can be directed to
How about making a trench on one end of the property for the water to settle into during the wet season 🤔 it could double as a water source for some of the animals further down on your property
Weeping willows are good for sucking up water. You just need to know where water lines are because the roots will grow into the water lines in search of more water.
What part of florida is this that it flood like that?
No lie I kinda like the water makes the ranch look better
You need to raise the ground level by quite a lot, I would dig a big trench at the lowest point, I would also hard stand it once raised and put in channel drains to the water put
Mangrove trees. I heard willows like lots of water, and here in Cali oak trees surround rivers.
Where did u put your tortoises? And haha the chicken tho. KEEP MAKING MORE VIDS UR DOING GREAT!
Yeah family much love 🏆💜🌎📺📰📚🎉🌹🖤💯
Aww Man that's insane your yard floods like that. I wonder if you contact your city ordinance if they will look into the matter, that's pretty crazy
Thats crazy dude 😳
Definitely time to fix the yard from this happening 🤷♀️
