I'm born and bred in the Katy area. I grew up in the Westlake neighborhoods off of Fry and Saums. I lived in the neighboring Willow Creek Farms neighborhood for 9 years. Excellent area, but sort of starved for quick amenities like grocery stores (15 min away, HEB near Katy Mills) or really anything else. Rumors abound that there will be a Kroger or HEB at Pederson and I-10 but those rumors have been so far just that - rumors. If that happens, it would be an excellent community. There is a Shell gas station at Kingsland and Igloo Rd / Jordan Ranch Blvd but it's not the same. Realistic travel times, each way, based on my personal experience during rush hour (6:00 AM to 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM): - Downtown - 1.5 hours - Energy Corridor - 1 hour - Medical Center - why bother, but ~2 hours I loved the area. If you're a runner I personally can vouch that - after training for the New York / Chicago / Houston marathons, there are plenty of routes available to take you the distance. The only frustrating thing is finding water fountains / bathrooms, which can be found in Tammaron, around 3 miles away. There are routes that also connect you to Terry Hershey Park if you get a bit creative. But it is a great area if you plan on keeping weekend activities tied to the Katy area. If you're looking for more direct Houston activities, look into the Heights inside the loop.

@@livinginhtx Easy it's made of cheap wood. If a house sales for less then $350K. it's build fast and cheap so you can make a profit.
@@danlowery5552 $350k is the starting price for most homes in Jordan Ranch, and that’s for a small home. But not poor quality.
@@livinginhtx See you just answer to my question. In Jordan ranch will have 45% of 350K homes
@@danlowery5552 not sure I understand what you are saying. The cheapest homes in the neighborhood are $350k and prices go up to $1M.
