I'm pissed that Guilty Gear isn't there, but tbf Smash is a fighting game. It is a party game, but you still pick characters to fight with normal and special attacks. It's like Mario Kart: it's a party game, but it's also and most importantly a racing game. Smash Ult doesn't deserve first place tho, as great as it is
Idk about the rest of this list but when I was younger my dad brought home a PS2 demo disk from walmart that had War of the Monsters on it and it was AMAZING.
I think that this honestly ain't half bad of a list honestly, because it shows the types of fighting games people like for people that aren't like all of us losers lol. And considering that many people say that some of the biggest and most well loved games are not liked by many hardcore players in the fgc, so who's to say what is considered the best fighting games of all time

Yea both of those series out sold GG series. It's easy to know Persona is pretty big, but BB also gets an anime, spin off games, mobile games etc. and GG only had GG2 and a DS game.
