I used many of these techniques last winter to make some small music boxes (they were only a little larger than this). I used the same hinges. They turned out GREAT. Once I had the basic design and tested everything on my scrap wood, it was so easy to make the final product. My wife and daughters love them (I made 1 for each of them)... It's so much to be able to make custom stuff like this for friends and family.

Great project! I have Carbide Create V6, but when I download and open the file in CCv6 it's blank. Not sure why.
I’ll check into that tomorrow. Maybe hit “L” for layers.

The magnets are just press fit, no glue? They touch when the box is closed or is there some gap? Thank you.
Press fit alone, no glue. And there is no gap in the box. The holes are slightly undersized to allow for compression during the installation. Both in the circumference and the depth. This takes advantage of the properties of the wood and would not work on a similar metal project.
