2021 I was searching for something to watch on T.V. and there it was Shelter Documentary...New Orleans. The young lady Elizabeth really pulled at my heart. When she said I just want to be normal. And to see the work the Shelter do. What a blessing...So to Elizabeth if you should ever read this. We all strive to be and do better day by day. God loves you and so do I. These are Real people that are hurting and searching to be Normal.

I just saw Elizabeth today . She was by the oasis motel in gretna on the expressway. She was trying to get a motel in someone's name. I pray she gets the help she needs.
My god this breaks my soul to pieces. I really wanted, hoped and still pray that she makes it. She's been through so much to show others, herself and that child that she's not her past and it won't define her. I can hear it in her conversations. The way she projects or exchanges any amount of words. She strives to not be how she was treated, spoken to and may have had to be forced to live. She wants better so bad. She just don't fully understand how to get it. You can't tell her, she can tell you she understands but...it just dont click. I totally get that. She's not alone there. And I reckon. You wouldn't fully understand that or even get it unless you've battled the inner demons and they usually win. You know no different. The options to better are there, but it's unknown. The bad unknown is all one might seem to know to feel like normalcy
