I am just starting my hydroponics, and was working out what to start and grow my seeds in. You have just answered that as some will be in soil and others in the hydroponics

Those lettuces look amazing. Would love to create an indoor system as well if it weren't for our expensive electricity bill, i don't have space for direct sunlight either so will have to find a way at some point

Good stuff. I have a question perhaps you could help me with it I’ll do a lot of Kratky hydroponics and regular hydroponics (thank you) the times I have used Jiffy peat pellets in my hydroponics I have gotten a lot of mold growth across the top that cuts my germination rate I have added hydrogen peroxide to my nutrient tank I am growing lettuces and so I have the mixture set for lettuces 14 hour zone 10 hours off light cycle thoughts comments questions thank you.

Awesome video hoocho, quick question. Did the coco not affect your pump as plants got bigger . As the coco fragments break away into the water. I have coco pallets & bit apprehensive that it would affect my pumps in the nft systems. Your experience would be of great help.

Thank you sir for helping me learn these growing techniques. I grew up on a five acre farm but I`m now learning hydroponics and love it. I love leaf lettuce and had issues growing it outside. I like to eat fresh lettuce but not with SNAILS on it. I was completely surprised by how fast it grows indoors with the little gardens I bought. My next project after I move in the coming weeks is growing a yellow squash plant in a 5 gallon food grade bucket. Vine borers kill them outside so I want to see how they produce indoors if I pollinate each flower. I may grow two of them. I have 1/4 pound of seeds so I can experiment forever.

Live in Hilo Hawaii. Have good luck with growing. Just started 5 months ago. Trying lettuce, radish, jalepenos, greeen onions, tomatoes, brocolli, brussel sprouts, cucumbers and Squash from seeds. Would love to see video tips on these crops using the Kraky system. Its all been trial and error. We are growing under cover but not closed in. Any suggestions on using lights, humidity, temp is no lower the 60 at night and no higher the 89 at hottest time of day.

Recent subscriber here. Trying to get into a little bit of hydroponics. Do you have any advice on the amount of light/intensity/hight for propagation and then for indoor leafy greens when growing them to their full size?

Pellets make things easy, though not really cost effective. I transitioned to 2" net cups filled with coco and the cost savings are massive, due to the net cups being reusable.

Thanks for the advice on seeing up the NFT system. I'm getting excellent results even in this code weather. I've used the peat pellets for the last 2 rounds of my seedlings but I've found that the pellets are too high in the rail. So as the Lettuces and Cabbage grows, the stalk is not supported and the plant leans over. Did you experience this at all? Even a puck didn't really hold it up that well. The only plant not affected is the Pak Choy because the stalls are spread out from the base.

How are you going with the little self watering propagation system you built not long ago? I built it and I'm using rock wool cubes for the 1st time. Only got 4 seed from 50 through so far. Might try and up the heat by reversing the day night cycle with the grow light in tent. How long do you have the water running? They are soaking wet if it's on for long I've found.

Nice time lapses, the coco coir pucks cost quite a bit so I was wondering that once they have been grown in and instead of composting them could they be put on a log burner ( once dried out ) and used for winter heat, Im in the UK so we have more cold than heat, or is their another grow media thats cheap but compostable or recyclable but not potting mix.

    • @Hoocho
