I think its safe to assume SEGA will soon change the game's title to Sonic and Shadow Generations like nothing ever happened
I mean, they had an incident back in the defunct Sonic Runners like this with a "Boo" companion.
As for bosses i would love to see Mephiles return to team up with Black Doom, it makes perfect sense for him to return cause in Generations the 06 timeline was at least partially restored cause Crisis City was present.
Considering Ian's writing we may get an unexpected plot twist involving mephiles... considering Ian believes the time eater may have been the remnants of mephiles soul

Sega/Sonic Team have made clear they are not making any classic characters of modern characters ( any sonic character made after adventure) due to mess up the lore and they never making classic shadow cause it was literally frozen for 50 years there shouldn't be classic shadow exist. If anything we should classic Amy knuckles vector charmy and espio since they are actually classic characters give mighty,ray,honey, fang,bean,and bark
@@sonicathewerehog1915 I find it hilarious when people use that "it'll mess up the lore" excuse, when Sega clearly stopped caring about the lore long ago. Having two Sonic's messes with the lore, but because a bunch of crybabies whined about Sonic's damn eye colour in Sonic 4, Sega felt like bringing back Sonic's older design as an entirely separate character from the newer one was the only option. It's ridiculous!
When it comes to this remaster, im hyped but a bit cautious 😅.
Sonic Generations is one of my favorite 3D Sonic games. The gameplay is beyond fun and its the best boost game imo. Even better when you have mods like the Unleashed Project on 😊.
The only reason im cautious about the Shadow portion is because multiple things kinda. This is the team coming from Forces and Frontiers, so im nervous that the level design for the boostimg stages with most likely be linear and barely have any great platformy parts, or multiple pathways. Not to mention, i feel like the gameplay will be stiff, and from the looks how Shadow gameplay animations are, it woeries me 😅. His boosting aura and his jump animation looks like Forces to a T, especially when you compare it to Sonic Generations/Unleashed animation that Sonic has in the game....... HOWEVER!!! This was a small and short trailer so i could be entirely wrong and id be okay with it 😅😂
Im also 50/50 on n Black Doom's return. Shadow The Hedgehog game wasnt good, the story was lame and Black Doom as a villain was incredibly boring. Not to mention, the whole tone shift was drastically different from what we usually get with Sonic. I dont mind having dark elements in my Sonic games, its why i like stories like SA1&2, Unleashed and Black Knight..... and Frontiers a bit 😅. Not to mention, Black Doom and that game brought some horrible, horrible retcons that SA2 already established. Outta nowhere, Shadow is part alien, Gerald Robotnik worked with him in the past, the commander who know Black Doom and his forces are bad blames Shadow for the massacre on the Ark, and also Gerald is now renowned as a hero even though he tried to kill everyone like a month ago in the Sonic timeline 😂😂😂......... HOWEVER, again!!!! I didnt hear that Ian Flynn was help out with the sotory so hopefully he'll make it interesting and will make it work. He has a great track record so im sure he'll provide a good story 👍.
I hope they make the story at least the same length or longer than Generations (4 hours).
Edit: Oh yeah, as for Mephiles returning.....? Meh, not really with it. While he was a neat villain and idea, he also was a bit incompetent.
I mean, if they have to bring him back, I hope that Shadow doesn't remember him since the story of 06 erased. Plus, if we do have a boss fight, I hope somehow Silver could get involved. I know he also doesn't from the 06 timeline (he's from the Rival's timeline) so he wouldn't remember Mephiles as well but it would be great moment wise.
Yuppp. There is a lot to look forward too and have fun but also be weary about hahaha...

I had the biggest crush on Shadow when Sonic Adventure 2 was released... while I'd have prefered a new Adventure game or remake, this is probably the next best thing. Shadow really needs some quality content and his original game just wasn't it.
Bro, I first found out about shadow when I saw a Sonic Heroes Trailer on a Sonic classic collection on the ps2
It was A cut scene of Rogue breaking shadow out of Eggman's base, and then his little altercation with Omega.
And then I saw him again on Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on PS3, and THAT is when I knew he was my new favorite character, and he remained my favorite ever since, And it would always irritate me when he would be in games but never playable, like in Sonic Colors DS, or Generations, or ANYTHING!!!
And when they announced episode shadow on Sonic forces, I threw my money at them faster than the speed of light.
And that's what I'm going to do with Sonic X Shadow Generations... I GOTTA support my favorite hedgehog.
You GOTTA support your wallet first. Stop letting Sega and Sonic team rip you off. If all sonic games released at £40 then fair enough but they’ve been asking for so much and providing so little for far too long.
You’ll get 2 shadow stages at most, I guarantee it. Everyone acting like this is gonna be some new huge addition have clearly never purchased a sonic title before. Sonic team love providing as little as possible and charging top dollar for it. This will add on an extra hour of playtime AT BEST. Stop letting this lacklustre team let you down over and over again and start demanding more.

I kinda get where your getting this is just generations with a visual upgrade and extra content like featuring shadow or other stuff that they dint add back then also this remaster isnt gonna be the same levels as episode shadow in forces

Well we know Biolizard is one, and I'm thinking Black Doom might be another one. We could have the boss fight with Sonic like in Generations OG
Black Bull and diablon are potential bosses. Black Doom is also a guarantee.

Looks like it plays more like Frontiers. Just, Y’know more POLISHED. The level design for Shadow is definitely Adventure 1/2 esc and Frontiers prioritizes its control over boost. Plus, most cyberspace stages with the Adventure-adjacent level designs were the best part of cyberspace
