How can I test my 12v rail for shorts if my motherboard doesnt have a 6 pin connector on the ‘mother board. All it has is an external power brick, how would I test for shorts still by not having the 6 pin on the motherboard?

Hello so I got the same problem, xbox one s turns on then off for 5 seconds, fans spinning, I already checked all the 3 mosfets and got the reading of 5,45 is that normal?
I was wondering if you could bring the two sides of the MOSFET out to a switch on the outside and connect it manually, or even just bridge it up? All that is happening is the on board power circuit is sending 5 volts or logic level 1 to switch the 12volts,

If your reading 0.001 That's a bad MOSFET! Replace it :)

no should be 6.55 or 6.65
You need a need power supply its no good bro that's not normal
