Rather than hit the mute check in fear of a different mix level just add a limiter filter on the overlay source and set the limit somewhere comfy, most will be fine and if someone is an outlier with super loud mix it will limit the audio to (?) db, there is obviously other problems like mature channels being shouted out in non mature streams and what not so it will be different in other situations just worth mentioning

Have this same issue "Has anyone run into an issue where the video starts to play, but then stops but the audio continues playing? I can't get the video to playout all the way for some reason"
Made sure that " if you go into settings in obs, go to advanced and scroll to the bottom. Check enable browser source hardware acceleration. Hope that helps!"

Yep! Hold alt and drag the window from the bottom.

New problem. I'm getting this error with the shout out "DOMException: play() failed because the user didn't interact with the document first." Any idea of a workaround?
I'd try remaking it and if it doesn't work, there's a chance the owner hasn't had a chance to pay for the website other than that I'm not 100 percent sure that can be done to fix it :X

I have the issue that it plays a clip and plays the audio, but it also plays the audio of a different clip at the same time?

Ah, so in OBS, select Control audio via OBS and then it'll work

The only issue I’m having, whenever it plays that clip, it shows an advertisement for twitch guru all over the clip :/
It makes sense that he'd want to advertise himself, but if you'd like you can click on the Source, hold alt and move the bottom up to where it doesnt show that :)

Has anyone else had an issue with the clip freezing after one or 2 frames while the audio keeps playing?
I tried changing source dimensions and frame rate but neither helped =/
Try turning on hardware acceleration in your browser like chrome etc, as well as on the source itself
From the developer himself : Hi, depends on a few factors, 99% of the time is because the user has to turn on hardware browser acceleration, I had an email the other day from someone who said they had turned it on but it turned out they turned on "browser hardware acceleration" in there browser not the streaming platform. If this is not the case and they have 100% turned it on in obs / slobs they might need to clear slobs app cache (not the browser source) someone posted a video someone of the twitch guru discord of them doing this and it fixing the issue, if that fails then its probably down to the users hardware or networking limitations. The video player used for all the guru tools is a standard HTML5 video player element.

Great Video, However I tried to do this, and there is no Custom Command Section. Im not a tech person, so not sure what to do to ensure it pops up.
Just use !so instead, the owner and creator of the site changed it to require you sub to his twitch in order to customize it

You don't need to have the command option, as long as you have the browser source

If anyone is having trouble with the clips playing on the browser source heres how to fix it! go to settings > Advanced > scroll down to sources > select "Enable browser source Hardware acceleration" Click apply and ya done!

Having the problem that it will play the audio for the clip but the clip itself isn't visible
Try changing the dimensions of the browser source to 1920 x 1080 and see if that will fix it

You could do a random viewer shoutout i think and it'll do it that way

I didn’t think it was possible as you had to specify the user who’s videos you want to shoutout
I'm not 100 percent sure but I would think that there's a command string for one of the bots(SE,Slobs chatbot) somewhere that does a random viewer. Would assume you'd just have to set that up first, but you may be right about it having to specify a user! I'd say try it! :D
This is from Nightbot, I'm not sure if it'll work but try this :)
This command fetches the list of chatters, removes the unwanted names, then selects a random chatter from the list.

Replace "$(user)","Nightbot","UnwantedName3" with the users you don’t want. Make sure to follow the pattern of putting the names in quotes and separating them by commas.

I found a fix on another video. Turning on high performance for web browsers in my obs settings fixed the issue.

I'd just got an alert in my obs that twitch guru is down. Like it doesn't exist.
Sometimes the owner of the website can't afford the upkeep, but it typically doesn't stay down long
I tested this out it works but for certain people I shout out it displays my name and not theirs

@@GSFeare I've done both of those things like 20 times and nothing changes, the text still shows at the top regardless of if the box is ticked or not
I have a quick solution for ya, hold ALT on the browser source, and move the source down from the top past where the text will be :) Hope that makes sense!
