I was thinking the same thing. I like to see the process in action. I understand why it maybe done because there are nuanced parts that need to be explained.
Great color mix! French Provincial furniture is one of my favs and to find one that still has original hardware is awesome. Like the icing on an already beautiful cake❤️
Cassandra Smith Thanks Cassandra! French provincial is my favorite also, very hard every time I sell one lol! And getting all the original hardware in such great shape is always a huge plus! Thank you again for all your support!❤️
I buy stuff from charity shops and antique shops I never pay much for anything. I just go for well built, and interesting shapes. I am so underwhelmed with new stuff these days, cheaply built, and and no style. I to love french furniture . This chest of draws is fab, and the colour really makes it. I to would find it hard to sell, it’s stunning. 🙋♀️🇬🇧
It turned out beautiful! I really liked that you did not stain the top but brought it back to its original version. Beautiful job. I loved the way the pink colored turned out. A very soft pink color. Love it!!!
Wow! I have exactly the same peace of future! Thank you for the tip on how to brighten the hardware. I tried different things but nothing worked as good. I am very excited to do this project.
another beautiful piece, what I like about you is your eye for color for the piece of furniture, once you started adding the wax - that richness of the color just comes thru and looks silky smooth, beautiful!
Lovely color, I’ve been restoring furniture for about 25 years now and even though I know most of the stuff you’re doing I always find your videos so entertaining and watch all of them. When it comes to hardware, if I’m going for gold I always prefer to clean it, I rub them with lemon, let them sit for about 1/2 hr. Then scrub them with a toothbrush and dish liquid or powder as you did. Thank you! Great work!
Loved that you showed the ugly part of furniture makeover the dreaded cleaning part lol. But the end result it’s a lovely finished dresser with that soft and you called it earthy color with the bare wood top amazing!!
Thank you for watching! I always leave the prepping part out of my videos, I thought everyone should see some of the process because it’s probably the most important!
I'm new to your channel and really think you're fantastically talented. Thanks for showing all aspects like scrubbing the hardware and drawers, blending the paint colors, applying the different coats of varnish and waxing process. That's so important to the learning process. Really appreciate your filming style, and your work is decadent!
This is such a beautiful piece! 😍 I had a set like this for yrs (night stand, vanity with chair, lingerie chest) since my teens but I got rid of it. I pray I can find another set soon (including a piece like this) so I can diy it. 💜💜💜💜
Haha! Love your struggle with the paintbrushes. The struggle is real! It's like all those memes 'what I think I look like doing X' and then 'what I actually look like'. That's so me all the time - so not cool! Which is why I don't do videos! LOL! The piece turned out beautiful. Very simple and elegant. And that HARDWARE!! 😍😍
Thank you! I was going to do the brush part again but decided I might as well show the epic fail! Was a good laugh I was laughing at myself while doing it too. Thank you so much for commenting and watching!
@@KachaFurniture of course! I really enjoy watching your videos. This one was absolutely perfect timing. I shared it with a new customer who just happened to have bought a FP dresser and night stand from me along with a shade of lavender paint today. She can't wait to get started and this video will be so helpful to her! How perfect, too, that you covered proper prep in this one. It'll be a great start-to-finish tutorial for her.
Gorgeous! That color is beautiful. You made this piece modern with your choice of color. I like that you kept the top natural. Great video. Patience is key with waiting on the dry time. 😁
I know it seems that way but don't be nervous! I have made most of my colors just messing around with ideas. The more you mix the more you'll get used to it and learn along the way! I have never been "trained" in color theory so don't let anyone tell you it can't be done on your own!!! 🙂
I like the way you present your videos kacha. Easy to follow , I have the painting bug, been days painting stuff. Had lots of fab comments. I have learnt a lot watching you do it. Keep posting .🙋♀️🇬🇧
So cute!! Love your humor in this video!😆 And the tip about the paper bag.....awesome! I will definatly try that on the piece I'm working on rightnow!! Great video as always Kacha! Thank you for sharing!!❤
Well thank you! I truly appreciate your talents! I've been re doing furniture for a very long time, but it's always fun to learn and try new techniques and hacks! You are truly one of my favorites! Thank you again, for sharing!!😘❤
So so pretty! Love your tutorials! I have two China hutches to paint and I want them to be awesome! But it takes me forever to decide how to do them and I get nervous! I think I'm going to try your rustic technique and see how that goes....wish me luck!😊😊
Wow this is so stunning I’m speechless 😶 You are incredibly talented Thank you 😊 so much for showing how you recreated this masterpiece Greatness 🥰❤️🙌🏾🙏🏾
Great video lovely makeover, just a suggestion try ketchup for brass hardware. Simply submerge in ketchup over night. Maybe this could work for you as well. Again great video
Any tips or suggestions on working with a dresser with a laminate top? Does the laminate need removed? Or can I strip and sand it? Love watching all your works of art. I watch almost everyday 💕
I love that you don’t talk during your video and get right to work. Too many people jibber jabber and it’s annoying.
Thank you Traci! I try to make the best videos I can, still lots to learn! 💖
That's exactly why I'm hooked. I like the background music, too.
@@orlandoexporters949 Thank you for the support!!!!

Your visual tutorials are right up my alley. A little less talking and more action. Your pieces are very nicely done.
I love the simple elegance of this piece.
Those handles came out amazing. And yep, mixing paint colors is tricky if you don't measure and don't make quite enough. Been there, done that....
I love the idea of hardware in vinegar and bleach. I'll have to try that👍🙂
It's so good!
I really like the color pink you came up with here. Its a muted shame rather than in your face. Therefore its timeless. Well done!

How did I miss this one? It just popped up. What a fun surprise. I love it (as usual). 💗
Haha Its older one but I do really love it.
I love the colour on this. It’s amazing.

Thank you so much Susan!
I’m so glad I subscribed to your channel. I’m not “into” all the chatter I hear on other videos and you explain everything so well through captions.
Thank you so much!
I LOVE this piece!!!!
Another fabulous creation, thank you for sharing.
Love this video. You are the first one to show furniture preparation before painting.
Beverly David thank you! I figured it was about time I show that part, it’s one of the most important steps!❤️
Beautiful! Can’t believe the transformation with just some elbow grease and paint.
Thank you so much! Well worth the effort!
