    Creatine is a performance-enhancing supplement that has been shown to be effective in many research studies. This has allowed manufacturers to market the product to athletes, both professional and non-professional, with bold claims. However, most people don't do their own research before making a decision about using it. Like with most health products, there are often side effects to using them. Creatine is no exception. One needs to understand all the potential upsides and downsides to using creatine as well as determine if supplementing with it fits within the context of your lifestyle. After all, what is good for one person may not be good for another.

      milk is cheap protein I’m no scientist, but you arnt suppose to take it everyday for 2 years, all you’re doing by that is allowing you body to take a vacation in that department as you voluntarily supply your body with creative vs your body naturally accessing creatine. It’s like taking melatonin before bed everyday for 2 years then getting mad that you can’t sleep without it, your body grew a dependency for an amount of creatine a human can’t get naturally without using supplements. Maybe next time you should do more research before you allow your body to rely on a powder form of creatine? I would recommend cycling for the exact reason there of

    • @lukepainter6854
      @lukepainter6854 3 роки тому +25

      I disagree. You don’t need to cycle creatine cause it’s not something your body produces naturally. You already take creatine in from fish and meats. The reason why everyone will tell you to supplement with creatine is because in order to get the right amount of creatine we would need to eat 3 pounds of chicken breast a day which is a stupid amount of chicken. Or body does not naturally produce this and therefore cycling it makes no sense and will slow your gains

    I have to agree with this: everyone is an individual and not everyone needs creatine. I trained for 5.5 years on a natural, well-rounded diet, doing intense training 5days of the week for around 1.5 - 3 hrs at a time, with a good mixture of strength, hit and cardio. I never struggled with any imbalances. Eventually I didn't really even get muscle stiffness unless I took a break due to illness etc. One day a little while back, I was complaining to a friend that I'd been struggling with my joint injuries and not making much progress for the last while. He suggested I try creatine. I did some research and decided to try it. It made zero difference to my performance and recovery. Moreover by the third week I developed a uti which lead to a secondary infection - and which the doctor suggested could have been a result of the addition of the creatine to my already balanced diet (ie "over nutrition"). I should probably add that it was the first uti I'd ever had at 38 years of age. And it turned out that what my body needed for some progress was actually a little rest. So no it is not essential. Not everyone needs it. But I do believe it would be beneficial for certain people with certain lifestyles and many people have found it helpful. Thanks for trying to provide an unbiased viewpoint on this topic. Way too many people buy into the hype without thinking for themselves.

      @watchfuleagleson 4 роки тому +8

      @@adinjohnson9658 I love creatine's effects too, & resumed taking it recently (one heaping teaspoon, twice daily with food)-guess what: No coughing! I recently recovered from chest congestion which must have been from the dust stirred up after vacuuming my filthy carpet. Obviously at this time a cough could be Covid-19, but if it stops when you stop the creatine (or when I lay off vacuuming), the cause is apparent. Heart palpitations could mean reduce your dosage. Exactly what I say. I’ve been working out for about 2 years now and I never taken creatine. Weather it isn’t a banned substance or necessarily bad for at the end of the day your are consuming more creatine then the body NATURALLY produces especially when you do a loading faze so at what point do we cross the line of it being natural when your consumption is more then what the human body produces naturally. With that being said I believe creatine after taking to much it becomes an enhancement. And that the big word every gym guy hates.

    I can't say that my asthma got worse when I started to take Creatine (Monohydrate), but I did feel somewhat swollen when I worked out. Didn't feel any surge with energy in any way really, but looked more lean, so I'm not sure it really done anything for me, more than the fact that my gf like my looks a little more.
    I did take it some 20 years back too, and back then I had a better experience of it. Could be that I worked out differently. I worked on a farm back then and my work out was more body weight and kicking and hitting a punch bag. Then again, the human body functions differently around 20 vs 40, so ...
    And yeah, I've had some acne too. Not much, but more than usual. Thought it was because of chocolate and other stuff, but I've read thru the comments here, and figure it might have something to do with the Creatine as well. Doesn't disturb me thou.
    Edit 220303: I've stopped taking Creatine a few days ago. My ankles and legs became swollen and I started getting trouble with my joints. My feet also got swollen and felt like waterbags. I have rheumatism in my family, and as I've read that Creatine can backfire if you have problems like that, I stopped. I feel better already. Just not worth it.

I had one where it felt like gastritis but lower in the gut (mild, i eat healthy). It made sense it would help me bc the gut has the highest turn over rate of cells, so in consistent autophagic states there could be some sort of depletion. calosis1 thanks for your positive feedback. It’s a delight to know that our content is well liked 😊 with regards to your question, it’s a tough one to answer. I always like to ask myself what it is I would like to achieve by making a dietary change. Or any other lifestyle alteration for that matter. Once I have a clear vision of what I want, I can then explore all the available options which might facilitate me in reaching that goal. I then weigh up the pros and cons of each option and make a decision based on the information I have collected. That’s as much of an opinion as I can give. I will however add one more piece of information which may be of interest to you. When it comes to safeguarding oneself from ‘over-nutrition’ as discussed in the video, one approach which can be effective is to cycle on and off supplements. One could also stick to the minimum advised dose during the cycle. More, is not always better. But, as I stipulated earlier, this is not advice just my opinion.

It's the world's most studied and proven affective supplement in the world for more more just physical fitness. It's a powerful nootropic as well. Even though creatine isn't water soluable I wouldn't worry about consuming too much creatine or any vitamin or mineral that is water soluable. I also felt anxious and had difficulty sleeping.. so I stopped taking it yesterday, and today I feel good.. I'll let my body reset for a couple of days then try decreasing the does to 2.5g daily and see how it goes.. I think the standard does of 5g daily is too much for my current weight.. Hey there. Unfortunately, I’m not at liberty to give nutritional advice over the internet. This video was made for educational purposes only. However, I can tell you how I take supplements... in order to avoid ‘overwhelming’ my body with too much of anything, I usually cycle on and off supplements. So, if I were to take a multivitamin, for example, I would would take it for one week then not take it the second week and so on..... this type of protocol mimics periods of feast and famine, which has been a natural occurrence in our past for thousands of years.... hope this makes sense.

    • @taelend5301
      @taelend5301 4 роки тому +2

      I would cycle creatine monohydrate for like 3 months and then one month off personally. Once every few days probably wont give you too much for benefit. Probably like 4-6 grams a day 30 mins prior to exercise. Take it on off days too. Drink plenty of water. Some complain of bloating and cramps on occasion, but I've never experienced either. Of course make sure your diet and gym routine are healthy prior to worrying about supplements.

    • @chrismann2848
      @chrismann2848 4 роки тому +1

      @@adhamsherif9126 well the creatine will elevate your heaet rate. Now if that can cause you complications wouldnt reccomend using creatine.
      If you are having allot of continual muscle soreness you probably not fueling yourself with right foods or you need to improve your rest time.

    Can it give you acne? I've heard that it can cause it.

      I havent come across any evidence, in the lierature, that Creatine can cause acne. I think it is the misconception that ‘creatine is a steroid,’ which brought about this myth.

      It actually can because it increases something that causes acne but I forgot what it was called.

      I am not at liberty to give this type of advice. What I can say is that there first needs to be human studies done on this issue before we can come to any concrete conclusions.
