I did not go with a low mass BCG. The low mass BCG seems to be a common solution or an easy fix to 6.5 AR-10 cycling issues. After trying multiple BCGs, with different coatings, you found the gas key was leaking where it mated to the BCG. This gas leak was a consistent problem with all the BCG we tried the build. Ultimately, we went with a regular Wilson Combat AR-10 BCG paired with a carbine buffer system. To get the best performance from the adjustable gas block I replaced the gas key & bedded it with Loctite 620, that fixed the gas leak and all cycling issues.
@@billmorse3303 I recall the trials and tribulation of that build well. I was just curious if you had since transitioned to a low-mass carrier. I guess if it's not broke (finally), don't fix it. LOL
Looking forward to watching this build. Lot of 6.5 AR-10 builds go with a low mass BCGs for reliable cycling.
@@billmorse3303 I happen to know that cycling can be an issue. Did you convert yours over to a low mass carrier?
