This lady has the most amount of excuses I have ever heard! My house brunt down, my dad has cancer, my neighbor was harassing me, my neighbor is stealing my mail, and I’m on disability. I don’t mean to sound heartless but the level of self victimization this lady is doing is indicative of what is wrong with many people today. 😒

So eloquently put. I see those victims everywhere and it frustrates me, but I couldn't word it as well as you did! Things happen that suck, but you can't give up and wallow in it and make it your identity.

Obviously you two have never heard of psychology or mental illness before. I think it’s time the coin dropped in those areas for you so that you understand that both of these sisters and the other epic excuse makers we see in these hearings have severe, out of control, untreated psychiatric problems….what made you think they’re like those of us who have the incredible good fortune to have escaped their gene pools? In other words, _without daily medication and intensive therapy, they lack the capacity to have anything but complete chaos in their lives!_ *They’re responsible for what they do,* of course, *but the problem is, THEY LACK THE INTERNAL CAPACITY TO STOP BEHAVING THAT WAY!!!* It’s like rescuing an older dog whose previous owners didn’t care where it did it’s business and never house trained it….it’s messing all over your house and will keep doing it until an expert figures out how to break the cycle. Continually punishing the dog won’t change it’s behavior because it doesn’t think it’s doing anything wrong; the same idea is true for people like these sisters. The differences between dogs and humans with mental illness should be 100% apparent, so I won’t point them out.

If they don’t receive treatment before given probation bc they’re in jail how do u expect them to not violate it’s not that they dc which I’m sure there are some but most are just set up to fail! Instead of jail time where there is no help they should be mandated to a rehab facility!! The system is broken! I know there are just some bad stupid ppl out there but I’d be willing to bet a lot are just stuck in the disease of addiction some don’t know anything else! Our prisons are overcrowded and there is an epidemic of drugs obviously jail/prison isn’t workin bc it’s getting worse not better not even the same! WORSE!! If it’s a non violent drug charge they should be given treatment in some way until we change smthg we’re losing our future , ppl are dying and it’s smthg we could change! Just my opinion wanted to give u another perspective! Ur not wrong some ppl are just stupid crappy ppl!

I think she is genuinely distressed, possibly withdrawing from drugs, and/or possibly coming off of prescription medications that the jail rarely provides. She's pretty wrecked. Not that she isn't also guilty of criminal behavior, but I think in the video above, she's barely competent. I don't think you can look at these videos and not feel some sense of compassion. Life has stomped the heck of out of these people and they are mentally, socially and physically wrecked. I would also point out that IF these people had gotten appropriate help, intervention, treatment and support when they were younger, they could be functional tax paying adults by now. But instead it's always a little too little, a little too late.

Probation is horrid. I was a probation officer (misdemeanor) in my county in Florida. I didn't last a year, the most frustrating job I EVER had. Most of them didn't show up, or didn't show up on time, or when they did show up on time, they never had the fees needed to be on probation. The fees alone are ridiculous - pretty much all of them never had money, didn't, or couldn't, get a job. The probation Judge we had only wanted the money paid, when they didn't, he threatened them which jail, even to the point that he had the bailiffs cuff them up and put them in the holding cell, telling them to call somebody to bring money. Of course, that person never came because they didn't have money either. But, the kicker is - he couldn't hold them in jail for not paying anything because it was considered a "debtor's prison", which wasn't legal. It was a complete mess. Best day of my life was when I quit that job.

    • @sherrydaut4910
      @sherrydaut4910 5 місяців тому +4

It's got to be so hard to show up every day to a thankless job like that. The endless lies and even knowing the person is trying, the majority of failures is because of money. If only people could see the end result of what their crimes will be and the time and money they will spend to start over, they might not take that fateful step. Take all the help offered and accept the blame. It may stop you ever having to deal with probation again.

Florida has a system that keeps those convicted of a felony forever in bondage. It's a remnant of slavery, designed during the Jim Crow era immediately following the Emancipation. This was an issue when voters overwhelmingly overturned the law preventing ex-offenders from voting. The underlying matter was the requirement that restitution be paid to the state. In many cases that amounted to thousands of dollars and was essentially a poll tax. The Governor overrode the vote and the requirement remains. Of course the issue was that the vast majority of ex-offenders would not vote Republican.

@@sherrydaut4910 - Sadly, you are absolutely correct - where I worked it was strictly about getting the money, not like Judge Boyd's probation where "communication is the key". The Judge we had was horrible - he would make the person get "taken into custody" if they didn't have the money, but he couldn't legally do that because it was considered to be debtor's prison. I always told them, when they were scared out of their minds, being walked back in handcuffs (don't worry, you aren't going to jail). The Public Defenders office finally put an end to that Judge's scare tactics. I even began to tell them, if you don't pay the money by the time your probation term is up, it will just go to collections, so if you don't have it, you don't have it - they can't put you in jail because of money. If I would have had a Judge like Judge Boyd, I would have lasted more than a year.

I completely understand that life is hard, even harder if you have a medical condition, however, unfortunately, that doesn’t preclude anybody from the consequences of their actions (of course there are exceptions, if a person is mentally incapable of comprehending etc). Sometimes, when you’re constantly surrounded by problems and you’re the only constant, there has to be some mediation. It would be incredibly rare and coincidental if ALL of these things simply happened to this woman, including her failures to appear, with zero accountability for any of her own actions. I think that goes for both of them. Why would you act as if you’ve never seen a court room before if you’re on probation? I certainly hope they both manage to figure everything out.

@@dmar1796because even though it was maliciously done without the channel owners consent… it’s still a tos violation and a severe violation. In UA-cam’s eyes, the channel owner is responsible for the content they are streaming… the channel owner has to take precautions to prevent things like that from happening especially since they kept happening over and over. If it only happened a couple times and the court added security to stop it from happening in the future, they would have never lost their channel.. but because it kept happening over and over and sometimes she would leave the streams up for days at a time…it’s a tos violation and sexual content like porn is zero tolerance… I would be shocked if they were able to reinstate the channel…

Court orders that separate family members from each other are frequently just setting up the defendant to fail. Telling a parent they can't see their kids, or a couple that they can't have contact is unrealistic. Obviously, if there is a genuine safety concern, crimes against children, Child Protection Services are involved, this doesn't apply. But for most situations, including the one above, a court order indicating that they can't see their primary caregiver and ordering them to to move out of where they are staying, is just setting the defendant up to fail. It's almost that the court wants to add to the homeless tent cities found across America. An order saying no criminal and/or aggressive or unwanted contact would be FAR more appropriate and helpful.

It’s amazing….I believe it’s possible to suspect some kind of personality disorder or other significant mental illness by the number and mental/physical severity of the excuses they make for every behavior when an authority figure is trying to hold them accountable. One sister doesn’t just have lupus….she piles on several physical diagnoses which range from severe to catastrophic. The other cites truly epic reasons to simply explain why she didn’t show up in court! I’m surprised her belongings, including important court documents not stolen by a malicious neighbor, were just destroyed in a house fire….why not have the whole thing flame up and then disappear into an enormous sinkhole extending 100 feet into the ground, lmao?? Sweet Jesus!

DiSanto is being rather disingenuous about how efficient the Probation Dept is.
The woman was released from jail on the 14th. She had to report to probation on the 16th.
The likelihood of her sending an email to an unnamed person in the probation dept. and getting a reply back within 24 hours is zero.
btw I'm NOT saying the woman is being honest. But this is something DiSAnto (who I generally rather like) has a tendency to do.
She just assumes that everything everyone says is a lie. This ends up causing her to make claims which are wildly untrue simply because she wants to disagree with everything defendants say.
Recently she insisted that a woman was "misusing' her Adderall prescription because the woman didn't take it every day. And she threatened the woman with charges over THAT somehow.
DiSanto was TOTALLY wrong. ADHD runs in my family and not only do doctors who prescribe it NOT require the user to take their ADHD drugs every day, they urge them NOT to. But to only take the meds when they are needed.
My nephew never took his during school holidays, and only on weekends if he had homework which required him to write.
DiSanto had decided she knew better than doctors and was actually ordering a person in court to misuse an addictive drug in a manner more likely to lead to addiction.
She needs to watch her tendency to get a bit power mad.
