Wiring can be a nightmare especially when it is on old machines that have been messed about with. Good luck with sorting it.👍
I think an ex-police bike was not the best decision now 😂🤣
Way to keep after it. I love the commitment to the old beemer!
Oh i don't want to throw in the towel on this one
Electrics don’t you just love them. Happy new year.
I dunno about happy 😂 electric issues are a nightmare 😅
Don't you just miss the good old steam bikes, that had no electrical issues...
Different issues
I thought that was it there, so close!..ps, on your phone footage, when you jumped at the click, I did too ha ha, so you weren’t alone mate 😂👍
😂😂
I would pull the loom off the bike and work through it. It's easier to repair and replace broken wiring at home, rather than on the side of the road? I'm looking forward to seeing it run 😁👍
Maybe 🤔 I hope not
I've thought of attempting some more serious restorations on bikes, but the electrical systems are the one thing I doubt that I'd ever be able to get a handle on. Good luck, and I hope you're able to sort it out without too much effort (and expense)!
To replace a wiring on a cub it's about 20 quid 😅 so not bad but the BMW loom is very expensive
@@BigPezza Is that just because BMW parts are generally expensive, or because there were millions of Cubs made, so parts are cheap?
Wiring .. it could take a little while to resolve ..
Come back for the next episode 😅
Arghhhh, electrical gremlins suck. I'd def put proper switcgear on it, even if you get some cheap second hand from a different motorcycle of a similar age... it'll just look so much better than crappy Chineseium switches and wires everywhere! 🙂
So the proper switch gear is gonna be hard to find as they no longer make that style where the indicator is on the right so I might have to go for some aftermarket buttons for now
@@BigPezza did they fit similar stuff to any other BMWs of the same era?
