No need to download an app on Samsung Galaxy phones, just set it to voice prompts. Change mode to 'Single take' and say "shoot". It will then take a short video as well as various different pictures. Job done!
Thanks mate - I’ve been using bankstick adapters for years, never thought of the swan neck thingymadoodle. Looks way more convenient, levelling the phone on the bankstick can be a real *ache. Will try this out for sure
Great video mate, don't think you mentioned it but I always wet the unhooking mat before laying the fish on it with lake water either from the lake or a bucket as it's surprising how quickly the mat itself becomes hot particularly in hot weather.
I use the video setting, it's quite nice to view the clip back, may catch the funny moments too. Just scroll through and save screen shot , also quality is 4k
Another tip I do is once the camera is set up to where I want it. Hit record, then once done, scroll through the video and take a screen shot of me holding the fish.
Personally i use NT70 tripod from Amazon & IPhone voice control function complete with timer. Works a treat, tripod very sturdy with plenty of adjustment
I use OpenCamera with a timer, it takes 3 pictures every 2 seconds until I stop it in 3 different brightnesses, dark mid and over exposed (depending on the light condition). Also make sure to be in full sun or shade, but not a mixture of both. Never got the hang of selfies on a canon DSLR for some reason...
Also, another trick: if you happen to carry two phones (I know not many people do, but I often have to for work) or a phone and a tablet, you can sync the screens so you can use the better rear camera and still see what you’re doing on the other phone. Takes two phone/tablet mounts though, but well worth it imo
Get yourself a small rechargeable ringlight that clips onto your phone, plenty on Amazon for a few quid. It really helps with the light level in your photo as the flash in a lot of phone cameras just is'nt enough.
Double stack your buckets and 2 pop up tubs with your phone in between and use an intervalometer app. I use a ridge monkey Bobby light with the included bank stick adaptor for a light off to the side for night shots
This is my self take set up: 1. Set up landing mat, bucket and kit in the correct position 2. Place camera on a bait bucket/tripod 3. Set the focus onto the front of the mat 4. Grab my Carp plushie from AD and do a test shot 5. Check the settings (WB/ISO/Apt) and adjust as needed 6. Try catch a fish 😅
What's the point of ridiculous trophy shots anyway, it's just vanity, unless it's compulsory as on some syndicate lakes to monitor fish growth. just put em back
Great video homes!

Started using my barrow and a adjustable clamp with a rhinotech snap to hold my phone ... Rhinobeams for night shots ... No need for tripods ..👍
Another tip I do is once the camera is set up to where I want it. Hit record, then once done, scroll through the video and take a screen shot of me holding the fish.

Can u do one on upgrading to a camera for not silly money. . Great vid though with great tips
The Gooseneck! An underrated piece of kit - especially when you're trying to watch something whilst lying on your bed chair!
instead of the app just take a video and then a screen shot
Quality is just not the same
Cygnet tripod, gardner camera adapter and a £2 phone holder off ebay.
Help me out i have just started carp fishing and setup a youtube page and tiktok😊
Why download an app? Video and screenshot works perfectly.
Much lower quality and resolution

Need to ask. Ain't you with carpology anymore
Nah, Curly left and ventured out on his own. Same as the short annoying guy has done the same.
