How have I not heard of this game? This is like Lifeforce but way more awesome because it's like anime.
Yeah I agree, check out the switch and saturn version of it, cuz they look even better.
@@Blue_Nova707 Cotton Reboot is amazing so is Cotton Fantasy
This ain't nothing like lifeforce its more like trouble witches or magical chase
The game was only released in certain arcades internationally and on the TurboGrafx-16 CD, which not many people had in comparison to the SNES and Genesis (they did release on those platforms but in Japan only). So it's understandable why some wouldn't have known this game exists.
Thankfully a compliation of the older games were released on modern platforms a few years ago, so people can now play them internationally.
looks like i found the inspiration for JVC's Keio Flying Squadron.
A nice little shoot 'em up which people here have compared to Lifeforce. I think it's much more like Parodius or the fair few years later Harmful Park in style personally, although it definitely has Rabio Lepus/Rabbit Punch overtones as well. (=^_^=)
why is everyone acting like you never heard of this game? were you born 1997?
@@edotsuki1979 Well, I was born in 70 myself, so I got to witness the Invader Boom in all its glory. By the time Cotton came out though, I had very much moved into the computer games scene and paid a lot less attention to the arcades, meaning I must have simply missed it (to be fair, many overly cutesy Japanese titles never made it to the West period).
Saying that, my brother & I did own at least a dozen PCBs by that point, including a Dragon's Lair machine on my part, and considering I already had all three Wonder Boy games, I'm sure this one would have been included if I'd seen it for sale. (^_~)
I think that it's the 5 or 6th boss (green face) even on extra mode if you stay right above her nose (eye line) you won't get hit. Only thing that will kill you is boredom shooting it. Great video btw!
Edit: You made hella short work of the 5th, 6th and 7th bosses by abusing their hit boxes on extra mode no less!
might be cheating, when i take damage the shooter explodes and respawns. here he clearly got hit multiple times and stayed in the game. and im taking notes on that boss green face was a pain for me i sat at back of screen going up n down accordingly.
Life force with anime magic theme.
11:37 Just wondering...
Why has one fairy brown boots ?
😆
