Thank you so much! I made my first garment with this tutorial with the serger. I love it so much! I did have to make the sleeves a little wider because size 1 was a bit too tight for me and I did the collar alteration listed in the printable instructions, BUT that was due to using a tighter, less stretchy knit. I appreciate the hard work that went in to makimg this video. ❤
Love it. Just what I was looking for. I’ve never used knits before so wanted something simple to try your videos have given me courage. My question is since I don’t have a serger would I use my stretch stitch for all sewing and then finish a second row with a zigzag or overcast, like in wovens? On the bottom and arm hems do I not need to fold a smidge under then the inch or is this again because it’s knits and they don’t unravel a fray. Thank you I so look forward to your content as it is straight forward.
Glad you're going to give the pattern a go. With knits, you shouldn't need to finish the raw edges, so, yes, a stretch stitch will be fine for all seams. And then you can top stitch the bottom folded hems with a zig zag.
Ok so got it all done but my collar is much smaller than the neck opening. Do you stretch collar as your sewing or did I stretch my collar out myself when I was sewing and working with fabric?
Yes, collar will be smaller, as it's meant to stretch and hug your neck. Stretch slightly as you sew, making sure to stretch only the collar and not the neckline material.
This video doesn't have the right amount ount views it should have. It's awesome!!!!!

Oooohhh, this is so timely as I'm trying to be brave enough and sew a knit garment!!! 😅Thank you! 😊
Great!! This is a perfect knit starter top for sure. Few seams and a easy fit. ❤️
