Love these girls. The only lineup change Hanabie has had is 3 different drummers. The vocalist, guitarist and bassist started the band at age 16. Band-Maid still has all their original members
They will be in Australia on Nov8 - Newstead, Nov10 - Moore Park, Nov12 - Melbourne, and Nov13 - Hindmarsh. If you are able to, do yourself a huge favor and go see them live, you won't regret it one bit.
If this band comes anywhere close to you, call in sick to work if you have to, but do whatever it takes to see them play live. They're like Energizer Bunnies. You can't outlast them. So good!
I don't think there's ever been a person who's first reaction to this band was anything but "WTF" lol Though for me the bigger WTF moment comes later once you realize Hanabie don't play pretend in the slightest and all this - at first glance madness - is just a bunch of friends trying their best to express their honest selves through music 🙃
You are in luck, they are playing concerts in Australia in November (I know Sydney is on the 10th). They are great live. Think the tickets were about $70.
In my opinion I think their older stuff is heavier, got the chance to meet them in San Antonio and they are all really cool and friendly, the show was fantastic definitely see them live if you can!
Been waiting for you to get into Hanabie. That track has no repeated sections which is cool. Love Hanabie. Check out "Warning" and "Tales of the Villain".
AKANÉ HIROSÉ from BAND MAID didn't change band ( since the foundation in 2013) she was in a second band for 2 years called MOTCHI TO CHEESE ( with her Lead guitare Kanami from BAND MAID and 3 members of the IDOL group name PREDIA) SAE the drummer of HANABIE( was the 3rd one )on this MV is Now in CODE OF ZERO. the Actual HANABIE drummer is CHIKA since 2023 she's the 4th one. BAND MAID never loose a member from the creation of the band, so NO band Maid member switch to HANABIE
With Hanabie you have now met probably the best metal band from Japan at the moment. With their combinations of different (sub)genres and styles, Hanabie have founded their own metalcore subgenre, Harajukucore. If you want to hear how Harajukucore started, I recommend the L.C.G music video, where Hanabie mixed a lot of different things together perfectly for the first time. To hear the perfect pronunciation of Hanabie (Hah - Nah - Bee - Eh with four syllables), simply copy and paste 花冷え。 into Google Translate and have the word read to you, nothing could be easier or faster.
Great reaction My Kind....looking forward to more, I am going to the Jinjer/Hanabie show 2nite in Denver, Colorado.. ( i may have hearing issues tomorrow) have you checked out a Jinjer song yet? see ya next time
I think someone is feeding you misinformation, lol. In your previous Band-Maid video, you said their original bassist Miho left, but that was LOVEBITES, not Band-Maid. And now someone has told you Band-Maid's original bassist is in Hanabie. Nobody from Band-Maid (or LOVEBITES) has ever been in Hanabie. The only person from another band who has ever been part of Hanabie is the drummer for Crystal Lake (a guy), who produces them and occasionally fills in on drums when they are between drummers. Also, it's not a Chinese sweets cafe. Like their fellow bands Band-Maid and LOVEBITES, Hanabie are Japanese. Hanabie, by the way, is pronounced "hana-bee-eh" with four syllables (don't worry, everyone gets that wrong the first time).
Only "relation" between Band Maid and Hanabie that i can think, is that the inspiration for both is the metal japanese band "Maximun the Hormone" Band Maid borns when Miku decides to create a band hearing MTH going to work in a maid cafe (or something like this, she tells different versions), and Hanabie start doing MTH covers. MTH it´s almost a legend in Japan, a band born in 1997-98, so they are "on the road" more than 25 years. A lot of modern female drummers got inspired by the MTH drummer Nawo Kawakita. Drummers like Akane from band Maid or Tamu Murata from Nemophila tell sometimes things like this, even when there´s another famous female drummer in the metal scene in Japan earlier: Miki "Mittan" Tsunoda from the metal band "Show Ya" (1982-present day). Someone has suggested the recent video "Maximun the Hormone feat Atarashi Gakko" theme "Shimi" like a good introduction... it´s a good one. Btw, Hanabie calls themself "Harayukucore", a really strange word that can only be understood knowing that "Harayuku" it´s a popular place in Tokyo full of modern fashion shops, a "paradise" for young girls. The fashion of Harayuku is... bizarre, nuts... like Hanabie.
It is Akane from Band-Maid who is into MTH not Miku. Akane was inspired by their female drummer Nao. There is no other links between Band-Maid and MTH.
WTF indeed. Looked like you had fun, though. _Ok copy/pasta for new reactors._ Welcome to *Harajuku-core!* Hanabie (ha-na-be-eh) refer to their music style after the famous Harajuku district that inspires their look and sound. It is famous for its street fashion, shopping, and youthful culture. As you heard, Harajukucore is an energetic mix of metal, electronic, rock, punk, rap, pop, and even traditional instruments. Their visual style is also influenced by the flamboyant gyaru (gal) styles. Matsuri (Gt. & Vo.), Yukina (Harsh Vo.), Hettsu (Bass & Vo.) started the band as an after-school club playing Maximum the Hormone covers. Over the years they have had several drummers including Sae, seen here in this video. Chika is their current drummer. The bassist you are thinking of might be Fami who recently replaced Miho in the band LOVEBITES. BAND-MAID's line-up has never changed. If you are curious about the lyrics for this song, they are located in the video's description. Newer videos have the lyrics available via the *Closed Captions* button [CC] They have a lot of songs about social issues in Japan, like sugar addiction, dating app abuse, and office life. But they always deliver that message in an entertaining way. Here's a few song recommendations for you - 'Pardon me, I have to go now', 'Be the GAL - early summer ver.', 'NEET GAME', 'Envy', 'Reiwa Dating Apps Generation', 'Tousou' (run away), and 'LOVE Ranbu' which is audio only. Thanks for checking out this amazing band.
No. The only player Hanabie do swap is the drummer. Hopefully the latest one will be the last one. BAND-MAID has lost no members at all. Lovebites lost their bass player and now have a new one. Nemophila lost one of their two guitar players.
I think this is their classical first-time-to-react-to-Hanabie-song. It is good and has clearly has a high shock value. But they have even better songs. React to _Otaku lovely densetsu_ .

I don’t know where you are getting your information. There is no connection between HANABIE and BAND-MAID, other than all the member are Japanese women.
Hah-Nah-Bee-Eh (Hanabie = cold flower -> frosty spring weather, Hanabi = fire flower -> fireworks, Hannahbeeyay = nonsense) are simply fantastic. No other JAPANESE female metal band has such a high level of creativity in songwriting. This song, for example, doesn't repeat itself once. And Yukina is quite unique with her combination of cute vocals and her growls and screams. From your name we can tell that you like it weird, so we have three song recommendations. Hanabie's song L.C.G (Lollypop Candy Girl), a very early Harajukucore masterpiece. From Maximum The Hormone the song Shimi featuring Atarashii Gakko, simply a surprisingly brilliant combination. And from the band BRATS the experimental rock masterpiece Spiderweb, a unique song that received far too little attention.
