    Hi Don,
Really enjoying your tutorials. Sadly, I don’t have a work shop. So I modified your backstop method. I use double-sided carpet tape to hold the yardstick in place on the kitchen counter top. I leave a half inch or so of the tape exposed and use that to hold a leather strap in place so it doesn’t stretch while I’m edging or grooving. Thanks for all your helpful tips.

great video Don! I've been using mb g a home depot yard stick clamped to the table top..makes it so much easier when you don't have to concentrate on keeping the strap straight as well as flat!

Funny (or not), you should mention painful cuts. As I sit here I've got 4 stitches in my thumb. I was cutting out top yolks for a pair of chaps out of some 7/8 oz HO when my knife skipped and next I'm headed into town to the urgent care place. Keep your blades sharp and more importantly keep anything you don't want cut BEHIND the knife. Thanks for the time you take away from your projects to help us! I always pick up something from your teachings.

Great tip. I live in a remote area and am always impressed by the tools you have. That edger you are using is not available around here, same as some of the other cool tools you use. You used a heavy duty snap setter that I have looked for online with no success. Where do you get these things? Keep those videos coming, I do get a lot out of them!
