  • I hope you find today’s tool review helpful. I purchased each of these tools in person from Toby in the Ron’s Tools booth. Toby is a very easy person to talk with and stands behind his tools. You can use the following link to learn more about the company history.

The tools are all very easy to use. I use these tools almost every day. The one tool in my collection that I have not used much is the groover. I need to force myself to practice with it more.
I prefer to use smaller companies where I feel like they know me and appreciate my business.

I agree. I’ve never been upset with myself when I purchased a lifetime tool.

Informative video. Edging can take a lot of time without the right tool & is an important step in creating a professional edge. Until you start going down the Leathercraft rabbit hole you don’t realize the expense of creating professional grade products. Entry level tools can only take you so far. Keep up the good work with your videos.

I agree. When I think of my first projects I would happy”ish” with the results and then would come the edge finish….

I’m sure you can order and get them sent up. I have only shipped a couple of items to Canada. Was shocked at the length of time to get there and the cost. Thanks for watching my video and giving feedback!

As a person new to leather work my biggest frustration is the tools just about all from that national chain are not worth buying and in Canada if we order from the USA the freight/postage will be more than the tool but thanks for the information

Have you reached out to Ron’s tools and others to see if they have someone offering distribution in Canada? Wish I could help more than suggestions

These look great, Robert. How do they work on thinner weights? I've found that trying to edge anything less than a 4oz with my weaver master edger just isn't feasible without stacking.

4 oz is lightweight. The #1 size does good. Have to keep it sharp and use a light touch. Otherwise you start stretching the leather.
