Amanyara Review: Inside the most luxurious resort in Turks and Caicos
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 сер 2019
- Reviewing and sharing my thoughts post a return visit to one of my favorite luxury resorts in the Caribbean. Giving you a look inside the Ocean Cove Pavilion and a stunning 4 Bedroom Beach Villa. To keep the review within a reasonable amount of time, I've mainly focused on the accommodation types as many potential visitors are mostly curious about the rooms/villas. If you have additional questions regarding foos, activities, service, etc...or booking requests, please feel free to drop me a message!

Short, succinct and informative. A 12-to-15-minute review is perfect.
Thanks so much!
Great review Hao. Very informative and helpful. I appreciate you taking the time.
Thanks so much! Happy to share and glad it might have been helpful. Service was a bit poor on my most recent visit. For now, I'm a huge fan of the newly renovated Parrot Cay (which is another video I've posted) and been sending many clients there. Cheers!
My family visited this island years ago and we ended up finding this place. We had to sanitize our hands when we got to the gate. This was long before 2020. And I saw a black bikini in their shop that was 400 dollars. The resort was beautiful. We could still get drinks and enjoy the bar even though we were not guests there. It was quiet and peaceful.
Love your Aman reviews and I'm now officially an amanvidsjunkies
Thank you for the kind words! Hahaha :)
2 Amans out there
1. Aman Junkies - those whive visited stayedin any Aman resort.
2. Aman Dreamer - those who loved to go to any Aman resort but still find it hard. Dreaming. Like me a dreamer.
nice review if i travel there this one would be my first choice
Thanks and definitely worth the visit if/when you can get to it :)
Very nice informative video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much!
I'm very into this Ralph's Coffee mug.
Best comment/take away
@@haotang I don't know why I don't have one since I'm obsessed. Anyway, great video - I'm checking out this resort soon and this was super informative! Thank you.
@@cassiegill5346 Anytime! Just a note, no GM at Amanyara right now and since my video, I think service has really declined. I would wait until the new GM arrives and have had time to smooth out service. But you might not be able to wait until Oct or Nov.
this place is amazing
It's stunning! But check out my review of Parrot Cay in Turks and Caicos, absolutely fab!
Amazing 👍⛅🏖
Stunning architecture
Thanks for reviewing this chain, we have run out of four season properties in the Caribbean, needed to find something comparable. We’ve already been to Turks, we like trying new islands, are there any other locations you can recommend?
My pleasure! Haha I'm a huge FS fan and a FS Preferred Partner Advisor but I think the FS properties in the Caribbean aren't that strong. So it's def. worth looking at other options. If you haven't been to Parrot Cay in Turks I'd highly suggest a return visit to Turks to check it out. It's difficult to recommend an island without knowing your personal preferences but St. Barths is always fun (however, closed at the moment through March). Anguilla is okay and some people love it but it's more difficult to reach than Turks and beach/hotels aren't as good. But it sounds like you might have tried the FS Anguilla already but again, not that strong of a property. If you want something more lush and completely different than normal beach resorts in the Caribbean, Amanera in the D.R. is worth a look as well. If you want to stick with FS, I'd say their best beach products would be something like Bora Bora, and Maldives (two in Maldives). Although in Maldvies, my favorites would be Cheval Blanc, Joali and Velaa.
We loved the Cs in Anguilla, nice spot! Nevis too. Thank you
@@ReginaRibaudo Cheers and safe travels!
Just subscribed! Got to support a fellow Aman junkie! I’m not sure about the location of Amanvari either. Also plans for Aman Miami don’t sound very Aman either...
Thank you so much!! I'd agree with you about Cabo and Miami. The brand is definitely changing but still some great properties out there. We are supposed to head back to Kila, Jiwo and Dari in June but let's see how the virus progress from here. Visited Aman Kyoto in December and been busy (I'm a luxury travel advisor) assisting clients with plan changes but now having some free time on hand, will try to get my Aman Kyoto video up soon. If you want to see some of it now, it's in my Instagram highlights (@besvisor). Good to meet and hope to see you at an Aman on the road :)
Hao Tang Ahhh the Indonesian Amans are wonderful. Looking forward to seeing the Aman Kyoto video! Good luck with changing all your clients plans! It must be a very stressful and uncertain time for you
@@TheCOSMETICLOVER Some of my favorites :) ... Thank you!
Just subscribed. Great stuff. Which unit was your ocean pavillion? I'd love to book that exact one. Thanks!
Hi Hao, great video. I would like to book a cove pavilion in December as my wife and I are celebrating our 20 year anniversary. Can you assist with that ?
We are deciding between Amanera (DR) and Amanyara for our honeymoon. If you had to pick which would you go with?
Congrats!! It's hard to say, they are very apples and oranges. Without knowing anything about you guys, it's hard for me to just suggest one. I have clients visit both properties often (a client just left Amanyara Sunday). If you want to spend a ton of time on the beach and in the sea, then Amanyara. If you want to be more private and have a larger / better room, then Amanera. Just from a highlevel perspective.
how do we contact you for a aman booking ?
Please feel free to reach me at: hao.tang@besvisor.com
True that place i know about that.....
Hi, just subscribed. Beautiful resort!! Do you know more smaller and private resorts like that in Turks and Caicos? Thank you!
Hi Jane! Thanks so much for your note and sub :) Yes, for my clients wanting something even more private, I typically book them at COMO Parrot Cay private island. Another one of my favorites in the Caribbean. If you check out my Instagram account (@besvisor), you can see my Parrot Cay highlights and see the private/standalone beach house we stayed in last July. They've just completed adding a new adult pool on the beach (two pools on the beach) as well. I can go on and on about it but let me know if you have more questions. Cheers!
@@haotang Thank you! Just added you!
Is there a main hotel pool that everyone can access?
yes
are your videos copyrighted?
Breathtaking.. Which Pavilion would you suggest between the pool or ocean?
Thanks for viewing! I personally would prefer the ocean view than the pool. But if budget allows, you can get an Ocean Cove Pavilion like the one we stayed in (almost like having a pool) and that could give you the best of both. It's usually the favorite category for most of my clients as well. Cheers!
@@haotang Thank you! Recently stayed at Amanera after watching your videos and loved it.
What Villa number is this? Do you recall?
This was villa #5 :)
Thank you for the video, really enjoyed it. Is T&K (Amanyara or Como) having any issue with seaweed? I've heard it is a big problem in the Caribbean at the moment.
My pleasure and glad it was helpful!! There are parts of the island with seaweed problems. If you were to book at The Shore Club, you will see plenty of it. But Amanyara's beach has no seaweed issues. Como Parrot Cay has some spots with seaweed but most areas do not. That's only because Como Parrot Cay is an entire private island so it has a wide spectrum of beaches/water. Let me know if you have other questions. Cheers!
@@haotang Thank you a lot, I might visit it next year not sure yet although Im curious about the new Aman in Mexico ;-) Im excited to see more of your videos on here.
@@chrislondon27 Happy to help! You will have a great time in Turks and Caicos if you choose to visit. Como Parrot Cay is also going through some great updates and might be an option as well. Very curious about Amanvari in Cabo as well but I don't love how close they are to the new Four Seasons. Basically, neighbors. Which as you know, not very Aman like. But first, I'm going to try to get back to Japan and check out Aman Kyoto, this winter. If you like the sound of Amanvari then Amanera might be a great alternative for you as well. I think between Cabo and T&C, very different feel and type of trips. Beaches are vastly different. Anyway, regardless what you end up doing, sure you'll have a great trip at any of these :)
@@haotang You are right about Cabo, I've noticed the FS next door. Amanera was on my list but a friend of mine said the sea was quite rough there, not sure if you had the same experience. So far the best Aman's beach I had was at Amanpulo.
@@chrislondon27 Amanera is great but it should be viewed as a lush jungle location with a beach as a bonus and fantastic architecture and food. The ocean is much rougher than Amanpulo or anything in Turks and Caicos. It's not turquoise nor white soft sand. So if you're going for an Amanpulo type of vibe, not the right choice at all and Amanyara will be closer to it. But Amanera's Casitas are much better than Amanyara's Pavilions. Especially the Pool Casitas near the beach. The food is really good if you're into fresh Mexican and the Ceviche is great. So there are tradeoffs for sure and I think you would just had to be sure about the type of trip you're after and expecting :) I would say Amanera's beach club is probably my favorite in the Caribbean. It's great food and right on the beach with fabulous atmosphere for dinners. However, it's a bit of hills to the place so you'll really need to rely on calling the golf carts to shuttle you around.
Prices?
Hi! It all depends on dates. For the 4 bedroom villas (and there are multiple categories of those varying in prices)They can range from $8k++/night (pre taxes/fees) to $15k++/night, depending on dates/season. In some seasons, full board (3 meals per day) + free night are also included into the rate. With the same idea, the Pavilion can range from $1.6k++/night to $5k++/night. There are varying categories in pavilions as well and of course seasons will have an impact on rates.
Very nice but way too sterile for my taste. Four Seasons still hits the mark.
hao tang were you from china halibaba or from siberia , ?? no one give shieet of dis its espensive far way , only huligars from china and rusland chend vizit dis :))
$10K a night....not worth it.
Too much talking
beautiful hotel, horrible review, so amateur
Boring
