Steve - Great that your friend spotted the broken rose joint before anything happened on the track. Looking forward to seeing the Konig running at full speed.
Lucky escape with that joint. Your previous video on preparation didn't mention a stripdown that I can see. Carroll Smith in his excellent book "Prepare to Win" recommends a full stripdown of any used racing car. You may not know the history of how it has been driven, and this is your chance to assess any wear or damaged parts. Stay safe friend.
I did adjust it later again, to the point where it starts to grip when fully depressed... the car moves forward as soon as i release a few mm . So that is not the issue IMO... the issue is the torque of the engine when fast acceleration at high RPM's . That Power comes lose 160 Hp to push that 400Kg car forward. That mass is to big for the clutch and it starts to slip.. I will need a new heavy duty clutch to solve that...
I have a 3hr endurance race tonight. I dreamt all night last night that I left my suit and helmet at home. When I lined up for the race, I was driving a washing machine. 😂 Hope the race tonight goes better.
Nice to see it on the track.
Thanks

actually looking forward to seeing how you diagnose and fix the issues!
What a shame about the issues. But hey, that's what a test day is for.
Indeed, that is all part of the fun..
I wondered if the clutch would slip when you adjusted it.
